This Ross store didn't have the best exterior look, but inside the store it was very decent actually. They had two huge floors, filled with products for men, women, kids, accessories, luggages and all other stuff you find in a departmental store. They had fitting rooms and restrooms as well. Most of the store was clean and organized. Prices ranged from very low (in clearance racks) to medium range. While exploring the store, my daughter found two Hello Kitty t-shirts she loved (both under $10) and a pair of Princess Peach shoes ($18). My wife found a pair of cowgirl boots. So overall seemed to be a very good place for family shopping. The store was very busy when we were there. Had to wait in checkout lane a bit. They had only 2 lanes open. The staff member was friendly. read more

We all know Ross isn't known for its top-tier customer service and seems like it's run by chipmunks, but the service I received last night was so laughable that I had to make this post. The women working the registers were far more interested in their conversations than helping the only two customers waiting in line. My sister and I just stood there until one of them finally realized she needed to do her job and called us up. She immediately went right back to her conversation and, even crazier, pulled out her phone and leaned over the counter to show her coworker something on it while "helping" my sister put w/ her purchase. No "hello." No "thank you." As soon as the transaction was over, she went straight back to talking. When it was my turn, I didn't even wait to be called up. I just walked to the register because she was still too busy chatting. While I was paying, I noticed my sister carrying her shirt in her hand, so I interrupted the conversation to ask if they had bags because neither of us had even been offered one. It was one of the most laughable customer service experiences I've ever had. Then again, I guess that's what you should expect from Ross. read more

Costumer service was horrible and the waiting to check out was insane . 3 lady's and none were doing there job how they suppose to. There was only one cashier open and she was new . The other one was chatting up with the security guy . The manager was also not correcting the other worker to work she was laughing at the conversation . While the new employee struggles to help costumers . The store was really dirty and needed the workers to clean and pick up the aisles. read more

I don't know why they have a security guard at the entrance for. I thought I had lost my keys. I noticed while I was checking out, and the cashier told me to ask the security guard if he had any keys turned in. The security guard looked out of it and confused when I asked him if anyone had turned in some keys recently. So then I went back to the fitting room because that is where I had been last, and the girl was way more helpful than anyone. She told me i could maybe ask the security guard to look through the cameras. So there I go again back to the security guard and ask him if there is any way of him checking the cameras. He looks away and shakes his head and mumbled something I couldn't hear. So I asked him again, and he shook his head and said " no, I can't do that, you can leave us your information and if anyone turns them in..." I was like ?? Ross has ALL these damn cameras all over the place and they can't review the footage? ( I didn't tell him that, I was just thinking it!) so then he radios the manager and I walk away to go look for my keys. Then I see the manager come out looking like she's ready to fight and then that's when I find keys stuck on a shirt I had put back. I'd still shop there but don't expect much when it comes to the customer service. read more

VERY BAD SERVICE FROM "SUPERVISOR ROBERT" As soon as I got inside the store I went straight to where they have all the jewelry and asked for help, there was a skinny fella talking to the security guard and told me they were gonna send someone out there to help me ASAP so I started checking whatever they have, 15 min after that the same guy(skinny fella) told me that they were very busy and someone was gonna be with me soon to help me, another 15 had pass and still waiting, I really wanna buy what i need but this waiting it's ridiculous..! All he says is NEXT PURCHASE.!! He finally went to help me himself and believe me he had a super bad attitude and I felt like he was trying to push me to hurry and get whatever I needed, I told him that I waited on him all that time that he needed to waited for me to decided on what I wanted.! read more

I would give 0 stars if it were possible. I have been to this Ross several times, and it usually has the worst selections of items. The merchandise just seems tackier and plain uglier when it is at this store. My last visit is probably the last time I will ever come here again. There were three cashiers. Two of the cashiers were abuelas in their 60s and the other cashier lady was probably early 20s. There were two people in front of me and with 3 cashiers, I still had to wait for like 10 minutes. The two abuelas cashiers were technologically illiterate and were SO SLOW helping the customers. Abuelas, IT'S NOT HARD TO PRESS BUTTONS ON A REGISTER. The customers were paying for no more than three items... AND IT STILL TOOK THEM 10 MINUTES to complete their transactions. Anyways while the slow abuelas were helping out two customers, I got wrung up by the cashier in her 20s. And guess what? THAT PARTICULAR REGISTER DOESN'T WORK WITH APPLE PAY... I just left. Didn't even buy anything. WOW. Just wow. The abuelas need to be cleaning or do stock room things. Don't let them near the registers. read more

This is the WORST Ross in the whole state of California. I've been to so many over the last 20 years and this is the most memorable for a few reasons. Number one, it's got the least good selection of clothes and shoes. Number two, it's gross. It's filthy and poorly maintained. Number three, it's severely understaffed at the hands of their own greed. Believe me this store is turning in MAJOR numbers to the owner/corporation. It's often shoulder to shoulder in here with rich Chinese money! There is absolutely no reason this store should be understaffed and for anyone to have to wait in line for 45 minutes. The management is either greedy or unskilled at scheduling. It's always like this year round. With that being said there is absolutely no reason to shop in this Ross ever again. I will take my business online or to other retailers, this Ross left a very bad taste in my mouth after having to put up with this for YEARS. Highly NOT RECOMMENDED read more

I love shopping at Ross. Most times very unorganized but I always end up buying good stuff there. However I just stumbled across some lady that works there, I asked her a question in English and she responded in Spanish she only spoke Spanish which is totally fine but her facial expressions were not it. She looked bothered that we approached her but HELLO IF U WORK WITH PEOPLE U NEED TO HAVE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND ALWAYS SHOW RESPECT, u can leave ur issues to the side at the moment. Then me and my dad saw her again saying thank you, she completely ignored us with her ugly facial expression that does not show customer service. Never got her name but she claims to only speak and understand Spanish looks kind of old. read more

Purchased two candles from Ross and decided to return one of them. Did not have a good experience. Went into the store and stood in the returns line and watched the cashiers handle purchase transactions for at least 12 customers before they called us over. Don't really understand the point of having a returns line if it's just to have people returning products wait and watch as they called "purchases at #4" or "purchases at #1" 12 times. Maybe it's to discourage people from making returns? The candle transaction took less than 3 minutes since I paid with card and it was returned automatically. Won't be returning. read more

This location is always crowded and I am not kidding. Parking is located behind the store. This store is 2 stories so there are tons of stuff. This store has a lot of random items and it just looks like chaos right when you walk in. The clothes are at least organized by sections and the sale section is a complete mess. I wouldn't even head towards that section. My head starts pounding right when I look that way. Besides from clothes, you can shop for shoes, accessories, hair devices, luggages, hair and skin care, bath accessories, kitchen ware, etc. There is even men section. I used to like Ross...even when items were all over the floor and was super messy. Then I discovered TJMaxx. Now Ross is just super messy with items all over the floor. I've heard that you can find killer deals on jeans. I really wouldn't know if I could find killer deals on jeans at Ross because I never had enough patience to actually search. and honestly, I find killer deals on jeans at Forever21. What I used to somewhat like was the purse section, but even that section is a mess, and the items aren't that great. Yes, overall, prices are pretty low. Oh Ross, so disorganized, but if you have the time to shop, you're bound to find a great deal. I've stopped going to Ross after living in OC for quite some years, but I haven't forgotten this treasure. I used to shop at Ross before college and it was really the go-to spot. After frequenting Nordstrom Rack in OC for years, I've gotten used to expensive brands. Even though Ross is not as high class, it still has some high end brands. I spotted brands you would probably know of - Burberry (perfumes), Nike, Guess, Tommy, BCBG, etc. I scored a really cute pair of stilettos (BCBGeneration) for only $12. What a bargain of a century! I was tempted to get their Steve Madden crossbody purse (in-style right now), but decided not to. :( Anyway, one warning- be sure to microanalyze the details of all their products. I was glad I tried on their long sleeved shirt before buying because I realize there was a tear near the armpit! Oh yeah, be sure to analyze their shoes, too. One was ripping apart; I'm glad I didn't buy it. Another thing is, their line gets long, so if you can, use credit/debit; it seems that the majority of the clientele uses cash/check. I roll with plastic! read more

I have gone into this store to buy some clothing and gift items. It is very difficult to find anything I want to buy. The store is extremely disorganized and most of the items are not very good in quality. Burlington across the street is somewhat better. They have higher quality items and the store is more organized. Marshall's and TJ Maxx are even better, though they don't have stores in Alhambra. They sell considerably higher quality merchandise. They give good value. They sell name brands and even designer labels such as Ralph Lauren. As an example, I got a 20 lb. medicine ball for $20. That would probably be a $50 or more item in a regular store. I also get a lot of quality casual clothes at TJ Maxx and Marshall's. Not at Ross read more
