I was looking to have our boiler system repaired, first technician said it was a bad ignitor, which it was not. Second technician said it was a bad pressure switch, which was ordered and installed. Boiler ran constantly and would not shut down, even after thermostat temperature was attained. Third diagnosis was another switch (since the first one installed was incorrect). After that installation boiler ran constantly, without burners ever coming on. Total incompetence, with no apologizes. $500 dollars later, and still no functional boiler. We called RCM heating who came out that day and had the boiler properly fixed and running within an hour! Do not call JTR unless you want to waste your money! Mr. H

They sent a kid who tells me the issue may be a cracked heat exchange & carbon monoxide leaking because I told him I had gotten dizzy before he arrived. Instead of telling me at that point he doesn't have the proper equipment to detect a CO leak he runs out to his work truck several times looking for equipment he knew he did not have. When he finally comes clean about not having the equipment he needs, he says for me to call the Fire Dept. because they have the equipment. I'm foolishly thinking YOU ARE A HEATING REPAIR COMPANY if you don't have the equipment someone in your company should right? WRONG!! I called the owner who tells me they tell all of their customers in an instance like this to call the Fire Dept. Owner proceeds to say, because the kid drove here, spent 45 minutes removing screws which he should not have & feeding a camera with as the kid put it, "not very good picture" in the furnace he earned the fee. Kid told me furnace had rust. I had to call a reputable company and the Fire Dept. who both confirmed no CO. Real repair guy says there is no crack and showed me pictures of inside furnace with NO RUST. Thank God furnace is running properly. Not only did these guys make off with $141 of my money but had nerve to say once Fire Dept. comes out call them back, here is your call back!!!

We thought that they could just empty it, but they have to cut it up and dispose of it as well. That's even better! Paid them $75 to come to assess it, which was not a problem. On May 28th, they told us that they would be back to dismantle and take away the oil tank. The original date got pushed until June 16th, for whatever reason. I did not receive a phone call or a message stating that they would not arrive at 8 a.m., per our original conversation. Called several times and had to wait on someone to return our calls. We finally get in touch with the manager, John, and he tells us that no one will be coming to our house because they have several clients that they have PRIORITIZED because they don't have air conditioning. Mind you, the weather in the past two weeks has not been excessively hot, in fact, it's been cool outside and MAYBE had two days that were in the 80s. He states that they called and left a message. I have not received any calls, I don't have any missed calls, nor do I have any voicemail messages from anyone at Witham's. We have work that we're trying to get done on our house and garage. We have had to push those jobs so that Witham's could come into our home utilizing the backyard; which is where the other contractors need to access the rest of our property, as well. We can't keep pushing off other things that we're trying to do to this house. We have scheduled places to be, individually as a family. We need to work on our home to be completed in a timely manner. For you to tell me, after accepting payment, giving us a verbal agreement, and scheduling an appointment for us oh, that you have decided to prioritize your customers, is absolutely ridiculous! It is not, according to John, a first come, first serve type of company. No matter what you may have going on, if they feel that someone else is more important than what you need done, then you will get bumped until they can come to help you. This oil is leaking in my home! Not sure how a broken air conditioning unit prioritises over leaking oil, that you can see and smell. We tried to get him to understand this from consumer perspective. Not as a business owner. As an individual, if you paid someone for a service, and was told a date that said service would take place, you would be upset if you were constantly told that it could not happen during that time. It feels as if we are getting the runaround. We have now had to take our business elsewhere! My parents have utilized this company for decades! Whether it was something within the home or them actually going to the gas station. We will no longer patronize this company as a family!
