Rosetta's Jazz Cafe on Bridge Street, Morrisville, PA, is in the hands of its third owner over the last few years. From the look of things, it has fallen into the strongest ownership and has a great chance of achieving longevity in this old river town neighborhood. If jazz is your sound, Rosetta's will fill that niche in your soul. From the moment I walked in and took a stool at the counter, the smooth jazz soundtrack kept me company. The presence of a full drum kit, electric keyboard and microphone stands in the front of the house by the entry door had me wondering if I would be lucky enough to audience a morning session. It wasn't to be, but it sure did set the mood for evening possibilities. My breakfast was simple. Sausage, fried egg and provolone cheese on rye sandwich, with side of home fries (onions & peppers added). The chef's skilled hands were visible from my seat, as was his laughing interaction with customers who called him out to acknowledge his presence. That was fun. The meal was good, but would have been exceptional had the sandwich been doubled up (2 of everything) and presented on an English muffin of Kaiser rather than sliced rye. The limited choice of white, wheat or rye for this creation missed the mark. Those taters on the other hand, were excellent and the java strong, fresh and tasty. PRO TIP - Add this big boy to the morning menu as a choice for those who appreciate what double meat, egg and cheese can do for the satisfaction of the hungry. Otherwise, it was all worthwhile. That Sunday brunch with mimosa and AYCE spread accompanied by live jazz is totally appealing, and we may drop in soon. read more

This place is unbelievable it is small and quaint, the breakfast was fantastic!! The owner Kevin is so super nice , he has a Jazz band and blues! I haven't herd them play but we are excited to go back for dinner and hear some jazz also they play during brunch, which I heard was great. Kevin was also in Marines like my son,so USMC is family ! Rosetta's Cafe opened just a few weeks ago in the location of the old Squirrel's Nest. We stopped in by serendipity, looking for a late lunch / early dinner this past Sunday. (Fond of jazz, we were also drawn in by the new name.) We saw that we were close to closing hours and crossed our fingers that food was still being served. We stepped inside and whoa...there was a live trio playing! Rosetta's serves breakfast, dinner, and lunch, with live jazz on Friday and Saturday evenings and Sunday brunch. (Going forward, the Sunday brunch will be a fixed price "all you can eat" menu, btw.) Since we were sliding in at an ambiguous hour, we ordered from the menu (but the staff brought some other treats to our table - including some wonderful, warm, house-made skillet corn bread. I ordered chicken and waffles (with coffee) and my husband ordered a shrimp basket with French fries. Here's the kicker: although I like friend shrimp, I almost never order it because a trip to New Orleans completely spoiled me for fried shrimp. Around here, so many places dish out overcooked shrimp with way too much batter. When my husband's order came out, I let out a gasp and asked if I could try one. Of course he obliged - and I traded him some of my chicken (which was also a standout in that department). The shrimp was merely dusted with the coating and the shrimp was cooked to perfection (instead of perdition). Just like New Orleans-style shrimp. The proprietor visited us at our table to see how we were enjoying our meal, and I shared my story regarding fried shrimp. Turned out, there was no coincidence! This joint was serving New Orleans-style food. (Jumbalaya is on the menu, too, as are other NoLa themed choices.) Rosetta's is a great new addition to dining in our neck of the woods. Went on a Sunday and enjoy scambled eggs, bacon, sausage, and grits Taster friend found her Western om elet a little dry, probably because she didn't ask for cheese. Service is fair. We, along with other adults, were gifted mimosas. I'm looking forward to a jazz night visit. The fried chicken other tables were having looked fire! read more

At first, I was not gonna go here, my friend told me she came and had a terrible experience. Turns out this place is under new management and the person she had was the previous owner. But, after speaking to another friend who had gone recently we decided to check it out since they did have life music, and I'm glad we did. The food was really good. And the owner was super funny and friendly and the staff was also extremely nice. We went on a Saturday afternoon for the jazz brunch. Or was it Sunday? I can't remember now but either way it's worth checking out. The live music is ....OMG... so beautiful. And if you sing or play, they encourage you to join in sometimes. Solid breakfast joint. Really good, huge omelettes, best breakfast potatoes in town. My son had chicken and waffles and said it was the best fried chicken he ever had, very moist and seasoned well. Only complaint is they serve ice in the OJ, that's a turn off, just refrigerate the OJ. My business is 1/4 mile away, so we'll have to try them for lunch. read more

I stopped in for breakfast recently. I forget the nome of the species, but it was base, grits, turkey sausage, scrambled eggs and coffee. The, I got to sample the crab/salmon cake. Excellent customer service and I love the family environment!!! This is the only place in town where you get the BEST soul food & live jazz. Sunday brunch is the BEST!!!! You're never rushed once seated and the food ALWAYS comes out hot! The ambiance is inviting and the restrooms are always clean!!!! I never saw a dirty table in this restaurant...they flip tables quickly. My favorite dish is fish & grits and I love the yams with mac & cheese! You must try!!! read more

Ordered soup that was on the menu . The establishment had no soup. Ordered potatoes fries that were on the menu, Waiter delivered French fries. Ordered rye bread as bread of choice for sandwich.Waiter said no rye bread but we are substituting multi grain bread in its place. read more

We had breakfast in the afternoon. My Belgian waffle was done just right and my husband said his omelet platter was good. Friendly service.

The Owner? Kevin? Sat at my table, introduced himself and talked me into using his automotive business for a new engine for a car I had. He took a check for $3100 and 2 years later and one court conviction never got the engine or the refund, He strung me along for months and it turned out the business had been closed. So he can be charming but if he sits at your table don't get sucked in. I wasn't the first. read more
