First our sales guy Phillip was great! The managers at the Acura used cars are not. Took my daughter out looking for her very first car, Settled on one to test drive. Back at Phillips desk in preparation. Phillip gets my daughters driver's license to make a copy and grab a tag. He returns almost immediately with the tag and DL, and says; "my manager said we're closing for the night" and we'd have to come back the next day, Sunday 12 noon to test drive the car. Anyway that didn't sit well with us including Phillip who was a little bewildered. I told myself there was no chance on us returning. Moving forward one week we bought the same car at Hersons Honda with less miles and a cheaper price. The good...they took an early deposit on a hard-to-get vehicle and it delivered with minimal delays. The bad. Repeat appointments for service including Cilajet that made the vehicle smell horrible. They denied that was the cause, though the car had the new car smell when I left it and heavy mildew stench on pickup. I had to deal with removing the smell myself as I'd had enough of rush hour traffic battles to get a loaner while it was being done. Cilajet does not appear to even be done correctly. Showed images to several forums and all agreed this was not a good application of the product. Crickets when I mention this to them. 2nd Acura here and family has several...with friends also with them. Not sure I can recommend this dealer any longer. Sales person Steve Kwon was fine...but aside from that...well...C- at best. On the Cilajet and the issues to get that on, and for results...fail. Also, doors and trunk lid are off line and not fit well. So hope they do something about it. I passed up dealers as far as Centerville and Laurel to come here as a repeat customer. I am taking my leased Acura into Rosenthal for a last maintenance before the lease ends. I have a maintenance contract and I schedule an appointment for this week. Rosenthal tells me my maintenance contract ended in March, 3 months before my lease ends. I ask about the remaining funds and they tell me there are none as the contract expired and the remaining funds go with it. Bad business. I'm done with Rosenthal and you should be also. Went in to get a recall repair done on my car, which I had scheduled in advance. Drive out there myself (no shuttle or concierge like other brands), I hand them my key and they tell me they have to order the part and to reschedule 2 weeks out. Fair enough, would've liked a notice in advance so I didn't have to drive all the way out there but whatever. I ask for my key back, they say that's not necessary and that it's with my car and that they would bring it out to me and to wait. Fair enough. I go to the waiting area and wait. An hour goes by, people come and go and I wonder why it's taking so long to get my car out to me after I was for all intents and purposes done. After about an hour and a half I figure they had completely forgotten about me so I get fed up and go to the desk and straight up ask for my key back. They then bring it out me, no apology for making me wait for more an hour for something that should have taken 10 minutes, when I had stuff to do. For what it's worth, while I was there I witnessed another customer get testy about their (unrelated to mine) issue too. Rescheduled the repair for a few weeks later, then a few days before they tell me the part still hasn't arrived and that the appointment was cancelled. So, I still haven't gotten the recall done. All in all, a gigantic headache and colossal waste of time. read more

He told me that the car I was looking for it was available, and that there was only one left. I made the appointment to attend immediately. When I got there, Solomon was busy with another customer. That was fine. However, they did not have the vehicle that I requested and tried to sell me three other cars. I was highly annoyed. Disappointed with the lady who picked up when I was trying to get my questions answered in order to set up a service appointment. She literally told me that they are unable to answer any questions until the next day because the other advisors are busy? She also said that since my advisor is not there, no one else could help. What the heck? You can't spare 1 minute? I would've been okay waiting for 5-10 minutes. I never heard of anything like that. To add, I just bought my Acura from here a couple of months ago and the sales guy basically tossed us off the cliff once he made the sale. He used the "Help me out, I'm about to hit my bonus" line... I only bought because it was a good deal. Bought my car a while ago and meant to post a review to share my experience. To be honest, I was originally unhappy with my experience with a member of the sales department originally - but after my experiences with the actual purchase and a couple of maintenance/service appointments in the last couple of years, I do think this dealership deserves 5 stars. I'd like to start with highlighting that Walter (the sales manager) is really great. Walter is an easy guy to talk to and quick to work with. I had some initial issues with my purchase that he quickly resolved. The service department is really great too. Everyone on that team is very attentive to detail, easy to chat with and very understanding. I've had a few minor issues since I purchased my car and every time I've brought it in, they have made the process so quick, easy and stress-free. First and foremost, shoutout to the salesman I worked with, Rahul. I had spent the day going to a few different places to get appraisals on my 4runner. I had been planning to step into a Golf R and Rosenthal Acura happened to have one. As the last stop of my day, I decided to swing by and at least check it out. Lucky for me, I got to work with Rahul. We checked it out, talked price and where I wanted to be with my monthly payments. He was very understanding about all of that and never pressured me into anything. It was refreshing to not have to deal with the typical dealer bs. Anyways, they offered me more for my 4runner than any place I visited that day and the gears began turning. He went to go crunch the numbers and work on getting me a deal that fit my price requirements. A good thing to note, as I waited in the lobby, Rahul made sure to always keep me updated of what was happening. I don't think I went more than 10-15 min without an update. Really appreciate that type of service. As the numbers were finalized and I was about to go to talk to the Finance dept., he even offered me pizza that he had ordered. That's just a nice thing to do and I was really surprised at that gesture. Anyways, I ended up getting the car and couldn't be happier. I also bothered Rahul on two separate occasions to get something I had forgotten from the 4runner (I really wasn't expecting to sell so I hadn't cleared everything out prior). He was very understanding and accommodating, never grew impatient with me at all. Hospitality that persists after ta deal is struck is just good business. They have a customer for life with me! An honest, wholesome military service member who just wanted the best for her Acura MDX. If I could rate 0, I would have. I scheduled a routine B1 service (basically an oil change and balance/rotate tires) which is what my car was due for. (**My MDX has no dashboard warning lights on ie check engine light, etc and is in very good condition. I also conduct needed maintenance as soon as it is diagnosed to preserve the life of my MDX**) I waited for about 2 hours and walked out paying $227 ( why so much for oil changes, idk) but moving on... This appointment was on Friday August 28th. After receiving my MDX I pay and leave. LITERALLY the NEXT MORNING as I'm leaving my location my MDX is sputtering excessive amounts of transmission fluids. I immediately noticed this and pulled off (thank God I didn't get onto the highway) . I immediately call Rosenthal Acura because they had my car less than 24 hours prior to this incident so I needed a tech to just double check that they didn't leave something unsecured during their inspections / servicing. I couldn't physically drive my MDX it was a danger and hazard at that point so I had to get the vehicle towed back to Rosenthal. I finally get there only to be told that this "issue" happens twice per week... according to the tech advisor (odd to say) and that there was no way that the technicians could see this issue. EVEN THOUGH they say they conduct "Multi point Inspections" to include the transmission fluids and LEAKS.... I WALKED IN ONLY NEEDING A BASIC OIL CHANGE SO THAT I COULD GO ABOUT MY WEEK AND WALKED BACK OUT WITH A DISABLED VEHICLE AND POTENTIALLY $1200 IN DEBT.... Going back and forth with this review, I decided on 4 stars mainly because of my experience with Ned! Very nice and very patient on a rainy Friday, Ned helped me tremendously in saying goodbye to my sports car love and getting into a big girl RDX. I know I came in with very unreasonable demands as far as what I wanted to pay and what I would be getting, but Ned was great in going over all of my options: leasing, purchasing, financing, new, old, etc. etc. The service guys were also accommodating when the bf (thank God for him) noticed that the front tires were low and there were a couple other minor issues that the warranty should be able to cover. They got me in as soon as my schedule allowed and got everything taken care of free of charge. Overall, a good experience with Rosenthal Acura. Yes, this is still very much a sales environment with some very sales-like things happening, so put your haggle pants on before you go. But if you're in the market for a new car, go see Ned. Wow had a really terrible experience at this location. I had an oil change done elsewhere and was told I needed a new engine air filter, but that auto shop did not carry the filter needed for my car so they stated the dealership would have it. First I call to find out how much it would be and I am told the cost of the filter, then I ask if there are any charges to have someone change it out (since I'm familiar with the process & how quick/simple it is) & I am literally told "it depends who you see". How shady is that. That was the first red flag I should've picked up on. I've worked in customer service for 10+ years; I get to the dealership and I can immediately tell it is the type of work environment where everyone is trying to make themselves appear busy so they do not have to assist the next customer. I am sitting there for 15+ min, with no line, just staff continuously walking past me/pretending to not see me waiting there. I was never greeted or acknowledged, nothing. Finally when a female rep walks by I call out that I need help, to which she immediately/awkwardly says "oh sorry didn't see you there!", yet she openly walked past me twice. I then tell her what I need done, she lets me know it is roughly $30 for the filter and $30 for the labor to have it installed. Are you kidding me? It takes roughly a minute to swipe out the old filter. Mind you we are 2.5 months into coronavirus, I prioritized getting this done simply so I wouldn't run into any huge car trouble but you can tell a lot about a business by how they are choosing to operate during this time. I simply purchased the filter then took it 10 min away to a higher rated auto shop in Airpark where they installed it for me for free. With no prior relationship, greeted as soon as I arrived and it took less than a minute for them to switch out the old filter for the new one. Not returning here for service ever again. read more

Wow what a great Service experience! My previous experience with Acura service dept have been fair. Radley in Falls Church and Woodbridge were good. Rosenthal Acura service is outstanding. My air bag was recalled and they fixed that during my service --sweet! I had Shannon as my service advisor and she was amazing. She called when she promised, she explained everything to me in detailed - I was given a loaner while my parts were ordered and OMG. 2017 RDX was so sweet. Made me think about getting a new vehicle ( NOT GOOD) When Shannon called to tell me my car was ready she told me to take my time to pick it up or even come tomorrow. Wow! Having a SUV was a nice change! I remembered at the last min that I needed new windows shield wipers - she installed right then and asked me to wait for a 10 mins while they RE-Wash my car. I am rating this place for their service, as I bought my car at Chevy Chase Acura, instead of Rosenthal, as CC had a better selection of pre-certified Acura cars. I have taken my car here for service and have been so pleased with their service, from scheduling the car, getting a free Acura rental with zero hassle or wait, getting a prompt call from my Service Adviser in regards to work on my car (routine maintenance so far!), and getting my car back with complimentary car wash. They do on occasion have specials on their website, so make sure you check it out on their website as well as in Yelp ($10 for $20 service). read more

I'm writing this review to show how dishonest and unfair this dealership is when a final price is confirmed with their potential customers. After several rounds of negotiations with the General Manager, Sabbir Khan, we agreed on a final price for a new Acura RDX which I had to wait 2 weeks for it to arrive. I received a phone call from a Sales Representative at the dealership that the car arrived and was ready for me to come and finalize the paperwork. When I arrived at the dealership Mr. Walter ORourke jumped into my deal and tried to persuade me to get an older car because they were low on inventory. He then told me that the car was not at the dealership, and they won't have until late summer. Mr. ORourke and Mr. Khan completely sabotaged my deal that I had in place and simply blamed it on inflation. I'm completely disappointed how this dealership can go back on their deal and increase a car thousands of dollars over MSRP. read more

This is 2 for 2. Oil change was free but tire balance and rotation was $69! Mind you the car has 7k miles on it. Roof rails plus cross bar over the phone quote was $1000 and then when we showed the 30% coupon, it mysteriously went up and after discount it came back to $1000. Thats fine fool me... but to tell me that we couldnt wash the car because of the roof rails doesnt make jack sense. I wasnt born yesterday. Enough already. read more

If you're in the market for a used car, please save yourself the headaches and look elsewhere. You deserve a better experience as a buyer. Issues began almost immediately at the time of purchase. I didn't haggle over the car price or my trade-in value (even though I was offered a couple hundred dollars more by other dealers). I falsely assumed that this dealer's service would more than make up for the financial sacrifice. Boy, was I wrong. My newly purchased vehicle was delivered to me with stains and pet hair, something that should have been taken care of during the two months it was sitting on the lot. When I brought this to the attention of my sales person, he mocked me for being picky but I convinced his manager to take care of it. I was asked to make a separate appointment to have these items taken care of along with a tire change. This was a hassle on its own since I live in a different state and over an hour away. After dropping off the vehicle, it took their detailing crew over 24 hours to start working on it, even though I was promised it would be ready much sooner. Most interior stains were finally cleaned but the pet hair was never removed. And to my horror, after inspecting my vehicle, I found a long six inch scrape in the back. While discussing the problem with the manager, he felt it necessary to insult me in front my daughter by calling me "anal retentive" as if most normal people wouldn't be bothered by any of these issues. However, the manager finally admitted that their detailing team had dropped the ball and even revealed that they have had issues with their quality of work in the past. So, then why continue to keep staff employed if their quality of work is sub par and impacts customer satisfaction?? After some back and forth, the manager finally agreed to have the paint scrape repaired. Everything went downhill from there a few days later. The manager did not call me on the day he promised to schedule the work. After leaving multiple messages by phone and email with different staff for an entire week and threatening to file a complaint, the manager finally decided to reply without even an apology for the delay and tells me he is ready to schedule the work. However, he emphasized that I could only drop it off on one specific day without a loaner car which is a problem for someone who is over an hour away and has to wait up to four hours for work to be done (something that seemed intentionally inconvenient). When I asked him to be more flexible with the dates he provided in order to accommodate my schedule and driving distance, he changed the estimated time frame for the work to be completed in less than an hour. Based on how slow the detailing team works and the fact that primer and paint application require additional time for prep and drying time in layers, I emailed the manager back to inquire about the steps they will take to repair the paint. He simply ignored the question. After, multiple attempts to get information on the repair process, the manager again did not respond. We were in the market to purchase two cars and was recommended to no other than Rosenthal Acura in Gaithersburg, MD. I went after my friend highly recommended Arthur Parsons. When I visited the showroom, I met Arthur. He introduced me to the Used Car Manager who then assigned me to Sean Nazemiah whom he previously greeted me at the lot. Sean is a patient, courteous, funny, no pressure sales person who helped us decide the cars based with our specifications. The finance person was knowledgeable, no pressure and understanding with our needs. The experience and stigma that I had with Rosenthal dealerships were gone after two easy transactions from beginning to end. I had a really good experience with this location In March. It's my first Acura and prior to that I owned a Honda so I stayed within the family lol. Customer service was great I never felt pressured. Before going there I knew which car I wanted. After the purchase a couple days later I noticed to slight indents on the car that I didn't notice before but I knew it must have been there before I made the purchase I called the salesman right away and he told me to bring in the car. They assessed it and had to take it off site to repair which took a week but I was given a nice rental in the meantime. They fixed the dents and of course there was no charge to me. They said it most have happened during transport. I had another incident this week where a bird flew into my car and caused some cosmetic damage (scratches) luckily there was no other damage and I was fine. I called Rosenthal Acura and spoke with the sales manager Walter he told me to bring the car in. He said they would try to repair at no cost to me which I was so happy about. So they definitely did me a favor. There are still some slight scratches on the car but for the most part you can barely see what happened. Actually Fixing/painting it would cost me about $200 and bc it's not that noticeable Walter advised against doing that which I really appreciated...him being honest and going out of his way to take time and help me. If youre looking for a new ride Acura is the place to go. They are great cars and reliable and this branch really went above and beyond. read more

Drove a brand new mdx as a loaner with only 38 miles. Loved it! Would love to trade up but my 2007 mdx still drives great! Malcom, my service coordinator, was great. I went in for A13 service. He took the time to explain what service I was getting without being condescending. Also, I asked about my broken vent clip and it ended up being $130 to replace. I said no thanks but Malcolm even took the extra time to see if I was still under my extended warranty without even having to ask. Unfortunately, mu warranty expired 6months ago. Great service! The service staff is always courteous, transparent, efficient, and their follow-up efforts are consistent and appreciated. Great service department! Granted, labor alone will account for 2/3 of your bill, but there's a certain peace of mind that comes with getting serviced here. My service advisor, Danny, is very professional and takes the time to explain service recommendations each time. There isn't a push to schedule these recommendations right away, unlike another Acura location that come off pushy. The waiting lounge is tidy and decent though some of the chairs could use more cushion. Even better if they could offer phone chargers for that pesky low iPhone battery when the wait takes longer :) read more
