We contracted Rose, the technician they sent was okay. He promised to return in a few weeks to check the progress of the bait he installed (per the written contract). Not only did he not keep his promise to return, but we never heard from him nor anyone else from Rose ever again! My repeated phone calls went unanswered, and so did the many messages I left. These guys are great. They have come right when we called everytime! I have a six condo building and last year we called some other exterminator for our contiguous ANT problem, . That worked for about two months and then we called Rose to come out because all the ants came back. Rose uses a gel that they place in various spots, clear and odorless. Within days our ants were almost completely gone. They came back twice for a leftover ant here and there. but after the second application I haven't seen an ant since last summer!! Let me start out this review by saying that we are first-time home buyers who are very unhappy about realizing that we have a mice problem. Our first instinct was to look through yelp for an exterminator who has good reviews. After looking at many, we decided to go with Rose Pest Solutions, but boy do we regret it. First off, our set time was supposed to be from 8-10am. We received a phone call from the technician at 9:46 stating he would be about another half an hour. Luckily we had nowhere to be, so we waited. Upon seeing the Rose truck in our driveway with no knock at the door, we went out to see where he was. The First spot he looked at was the back yard, maybe seeing 3 little spots and not moving a bush around the left side to see if there were any entry points. He did not seal these spots, just told us about them even though they were small and easily plugged. He did not thoroughly look at the front of the house and never looked at the west side. Upon entering our basement, he noticed right away that some light was coming through our cellar door and recommended replacing said door. He only sealed one little gap down at the corner of it with steel wool. Ramon was the name of our technician (which I only learned when the receipt was printed off, mind you) then said that there was a hole at the far end of our basement which we should plug up with wool (he did not do this). More inspection of the basement, I pointed out holes that I personally had noticed and he plugged, without finding them on his own and didn't do any more inspecting other than what I had found previously. Now to the main level, we have dogs so I understand him being cautions (but they were crated, so no need to worry)... He didn't even enter the dining room OR the living room where we had seen droppings previously and told him about. He did put a bait box behind the stove and refrigerator with the help of my husband, but never went into the sun room which is on top of the exit point of the basement where he said most of the issues probably were. After him baiting the kitchen, he started to sit down on the steps for what looked like he was going to write out our receipt. UM, WE HAVE A SECOND FLOOR. So noticing that he seemed finished, I told him to please check upstairs. Reluctantly, he followed me upstairs where I had noticed a spot that looked like a mouse had pushed through... low and behold, it was a entry point that he plugged with steel wool and set a trap behind my mirror near there. He then checked our full bath and noticed some droppings at the bottom of our vanity (yuck, we haven't even started to unpacked that room yet) and set a sticky trap near the opening in the wall for the water. He then looked in our other two bedrooms for 2 seconds each (not checking baseboards where the other hole was) and said that it seemed ok. Like dude, LOOK. Ramon then proceeded to go out to his car and hand me a handful of steel wool to put in a bag and 4 extra sticky traps and told me "Here, plug any more holes you find and set some more traps where you feel like". UM, isn't that YOUR job? Isn't that what I'm paying you for, to find the entry points for me? Apparently not. After coming back downstairs and writing up our receipt, I told him I had purchased the yelp voucher and he huffed, called his manager, and told me I'd have to pay for the remainder ($20). Yea, I know. So I gave him $20 cash and he left. My husband and I were pissed. We barely waited until he was out of our driveway to call the Rose service number to tell them how unsatisfied we were. We didn't want to pay for a half ass-ed job. My husband spoke to the service manager who said he was willing to come back out (in 7-10 days) and extend our warranty period. We didn't want that. We want a reputable company who will take their time and appreciate how terrible of a feeling it is to find vermin in your home. I also didn't want to have to pay for more do-it-yourself solutions. If I wanted that, I would have just done all of the things the internet says to do and not called a professional. These people were not professional. After asking for our money back, The manager said he would call my husband back and never did. I then called and was told he took his lunch and would be back in 20mins. I called back 20 minutes later only to explain everything to him again and how unhappy I was. He said we would have to contact Yelp to get our refund and that he would send me a check for our remaining $20 and promptly hung up on me. Cool. I don't think we will be getting that $20 back, but hey, we got some steel wool in a bag and a couple sticky traps. Just not a professional. We are still looking and hope Yelp will help us get our money back. read more

I asked the Rose pest Control guy what they do with the animals they trapped and he said they kill them. He then was very rude to me and a total jerk. All this company cares about is money. They are cruel to animals - luring them from their homes into traps where they then take them and kill them. They poison honeybees and other beneficial insects. They don't care about anything except greed! read more

Steve was excellent. Had a problem with rats. He came in looked the whole house and yard over. Set traps and bait stations and told us areas around the outside of the house we should focus on to keep the rats out. Caught 4 rats in the first two days and found another in the yard after it ate the bait. No rats for a few weeks. Very satisfied. read more

We had a bed bug infestation and was using a different exterminator company for 4 weeks with no results. We got fed up and decided to try a different company. We used Rose specifically the heat-treatment for bed bugs. I will say, its totally worth the money. The heat treatment killed all the bugs/eggs that day and we have been bed bug free for months afterwards. Words cannot even express the rage I am feeling right now. I made an appointment yesterday, Sept 20, with Rose to come to my house and they gave me a time window of 2-4pm on Sept 21. I left work for the afternoon even though I am extremely busy and at 3:50pm I called to see when they would be coming only to find they have no record of my appointment and have no idea who I am. They offered me a whopping $10 discount for the inconvenience and also had nobody to send out to my house when they realized their error. They offered no solution to their customer service mistake and I am now telling people to stay away from this Company. I am very disappointed with the whole experience with Rose. I called to get rid of drain flies that were in my basement. I read about drain flies and saw that the solution was to clean the drains and figured I should get professionals to handle it. Michael from Rose came out and basically just had a canister of bug spray and sprayed foam into all my drains. He promised it would get rid of the drain flies since it was strong foam. Two weeks later I'm still seeing drain flies. Michael came out again and instead of doing something different, he went to each drain and sprayed again. Needless to say, that fixed nothing. I still have drain flies and they spread to my upstairs level! There is a one month guarantee but what happens when they don't fix the problem in the first place? I'm beyond frustrated and feel that this was a waste of $150. read more

I had an AWFUL experience with Rose pest control. I had an ant problem and called them mid August to resolve the issue. After 3 visits, I still have ants all over my house!!!! Whatever they are spraying does NOT work whatsoever! Additionally, their customer service is horrid. I was blown off the second appt after I waited home for the entire 2 hour time frame. I left a message for a manager on 2 separate occasions and was never called back. While they might be the cheapest, it's for a reason. Please take my advice and use someone else who can really get the job done!!! read more

Saw a mouse in our kitchen in the morning, and they sent someone over right away. Problem was that he really didn't do much (put out a few traps - traditional and sticky). He did not look for how the mouse got in so that we would not have an ongoing problem, and the traps did not catch the mouse. We called another company and they were able to get rid of our mouse problem. read more

We've got the worst situation ever - rats in the crawlspace of our home! When I first started working with Rose, they were great. Understanding, prompt and polite. However, the "Solutions" in their name is misleading. After setting traps and sealing entry holes, I was shocked to learn we still had rats in the crawlspace 6 weeks later. Their answer - basically it's not their problem, and that they did all they could do. Their only solution was to have a "structural engineer" dig away at the foundation to determine if they were tunneling underground, yet they could not provide the name of an engineer I could contact. BTW I know several people in the home improvement industry and they said this suggestion was pure rubbish. Thanks for nothing, Rose Pest "Solutions." read more

Rose Pest Solutions has been great to work with. I worked with their service representative Steve Lowe who is very knowledgable and responsive. He viewed my property and determined exactly what needed to be done. After the baiting, the rats go somewhere else to die, but the one time there was one in my yard he came back as soon as I called to remove the dead rodent so we didn't have to touch it. I called at 8am due to a rodent sighting in my apartment. The rep on the other line was very friendly and professional and was able to get a tech out within the hour! Jason was the techs name. He spent a good amount of time looking for this rat hiding in my apartment and instead of setting traps and leaving he took his time and eventually caught the rat. He then inspected my apartment to determine where the rat might have entered. He identified the points of entry and placed traps as a precaution while the holes are sealed. He was great, I'm thankful that during the holidays Rose was able to come through and do a great job. read more
