Horrible pedicure job. I should've checked the reviews. Never again will they get my $$$$$

Part of cuticle taking off
Melinda L.

If I can put 0 stars I would. The girl that was doing my manicure and pedicure was rushing the whole time. Due to her rushing she cut me on my pinky finger. Basically tore off a piece of my cuticle. (Picture attached). It took her over 10 min to get my bleeding under control. Once done with my manicure I got the pedicure because I had a event to go to within the hour and didn't have time to stop at another nail salon. She rushed through my pedicure and not even 48 hrs later my nail polish came off. (Picture attached) I will never return to this nail salon again.

This male techs rudely and insensitively went off on me because I was not holding my hands the way he wanted. The manager took up for him saying she knows how to control the hands, he doesn't . When it comes to handling my black female hands you need to understand strength. I thought they were relaxed. We as black female have lot on our plates so to telling me to relax and turn your hand the right way is not natural to our stress level and work load. To have an Asian man to tell me you are not hold your hand right and rudely turn it the way he wants it is disrespectful. I have never had this issue with a female tech. I have use this nail shop for years due to being in the community. I spend over $100 each time and tip way above 20%. Never again! Then as professional and nice as I could be, Itried to tell him I was holding my hands to the best way I know how. He get's upset and throws his hand in the air. I just walked out. He still talking junk as I walk out the door making a scene. They are my natural nails and I Will just go back old school and do them myself. Eye brows and pedicure. Uhmm!!!

Tracy killed these navy nails!! This is a repair and polish change $12
Candice C.

Since then a week later, I got a pedi there. I forgot the guys name, but he had my feet looking PHENOMENAL for only $18! No pics, tho, sorry! Then I returned again a week later for a fill-in and repair. That's when the problems started. I won't call the young lady's name, but she didn't compare lengths on both hands. I had all types of lengths short and long in my nails. I didn't bother taking photos. It was embarrassing. Then not even a week later, nails kept breaking. I had to return for repairs multiple times. It was annoying so I went back to Tracy. She did a polish change and repair last week in Navy Blue. It looks awesome but another 2 nails broke this week so I'll ask her to thicken them this week or go back to gel. She also did my brows for $8! ON... FLEEK! If things don't go well this week tho, I may find a new salon for my Manis.

Nail Polish remover dropped on my shoe and he did not say a word. Not to mention I noticed him kicking something out the way.

I came in knowing I wanted Valentine's nails but didn't have every detail figured out, and she took her time walking me through everything. She was incredibly kind, patient, and professional from start to finish. Vivian made sure the shape was perfect, the artwork was clean and detailed, and the colors came together beautifully. She consistently checked in to make sure I was comfortable and happy, which meant a lot to me. Her energy and vibe were amazing so positive, welcoming, and calming. You can tell she truly cares about her clients and takes pride in her work. I left feeling confident, satisfied, and excited to show my nails off. I will absolutely be coming back, and I can confidently say Vivian is now my go-to nail tech. If you're thinking about booking, don't hesitate ask for Vivian.

I spent over $100 plus gave tips to both of my techs. My pedicure was serviced by Linda, who was sweet & did a great job on my pedicure. The quality of the SNS nails, serviced by John, was another story! Not only did they not look the best but within 3 days of my SNS nails, the nail on my index finger started peeling off from the base of my nail.I was not able to come back until the night before the snow storm, 1-9-25 to get it corrected due to my work schedule. Google stated they closed at 8pm.I arrived in the parking lot literally at 7pm and saw the OPEN sign was turned off so I called. The guy at the front desk refused to allow me to get it fixed after I explained I checked their salon hours on google, drove all the way there, and the nail came off in only 3 days. He didn't care and told me "everyone" knows they take the last customer at 7pm for the last 2 years.Clearly, not everyone! I suggested they change the hours listed on google from 8pm to 7pm because it's misleading & inaccurate.Nevertheless, he still provided terrible customer service based on the circumstances. He cared not one ounce since they had already taken my money + tips. I then texted the tech, Linda to advise of my experience with the front desk guy and John, who did my nails.I explained that I would likely not return because of the poor customer service and advised her that I was planning to write a review (which I did not do).She encouraged me to return and come directly to her next time and she will do both my SNS nails and pedicure.I arrived this evening around 5pm and presented my receipt and nail issue . The same guy at the front desk told me I would be charged because it was the 11th of January. Are you kidding me? You know it was a snow storm and you know I came on the 9th. No apology or anything!Furthermore, he proceeds to tell me he read my text message to Linda then LIED telling me I had already written the review ( even after I advised it had not yet been written). He looked dumb when I told him to show it to me as I had planned to wait for today's visit before deciding to post a review. Rather than doing the honorable and professional thing, you still try to charge me?!!! So Here You Go, Here is Your Review, Chan Bay Nails on Flat Shoals Pkwy! I will cross post this review on as many sites as I think of! I have time today! You will never get another penny from me! You come into our neighborhood, take our money,...then give us CRAPPY customer service. I Implore Everyone to Avoid This Location By All Means!!! There are plenty of other shops who provide quality, exceptional work, and give superior customer service! I'm willing to bypass this convenient location and return to where my business is valued, respected, and appreciated! Tighten up, Chan Bay Nails!! May You Lose Every Potential Customer reading this review! I should have read the reviews before even deciding to return! You STILL need training! Your lack of professionalism, concern, & unwillingness to fix one nail (that would have taken less than 5 mins) will now cost you more customers. What a Complete JACK*SS the front desk guy is! Review from 2019: I waited 15 to 20 mins for a pedicure and signed in. A lady just came in and asked how long the wait was for a pedicure and manager said 20 mins or less. Shortly after he asked me wasnt I there for a pedicure, which I confirmed. The lady picks her color and he immediately tells her to go to the pedicure chair! I told him I was there first, he said sorry, said something else really fast & inaudible but turned his face away in GUILT! He clearly knew I was there first. I walked out to never return! Wasted my time! How unprofessional and unfair. Very poor customer service!! They will never get my business again. Beware...heard it happens often! They invested in the beauty of the shop but need to invest in customer service training!

I didn't but I knew the Kroger shopping center has been here for at least 30+ years and almost every Kroger shopping center has a nail shop somewhere within the development. We entered about 2pm on a Friday afternoon and it was pleasantly not full of people and there was no wait. She got her nails done and I decided to get a pedicure since I haven't had one in a while. The lady that did my pedicure was so friendly and funny. This location is a good 40+ minutes from my home if the traffic is on my side and I'd happily come back for another pedicure when needed. Great service, clean and pricing was just what I expected for a basic pedicure.

It was 1 person in front of me waiting to be serviced and I waited about 10 minutes before I was able to get my polish changed. OVERALL 3.5 its just honestly another overpriced nail shop
