LONG OVERDUE. Took me a while because I had some choice words for this place, and needed to cut it down. As a Chicago native, THIS IS THE WORST REPRESENTATION OF WHAT A CHICAGO PIZZA JOINT SHOULD BE LIKE. It is NOT a CHICAGO restaurant - it is definitely a TEMECULA restaurant. Yes, there are Rosati's locations back home in the suburbs, but this particular location would never survive ANYWHERE around the Chicago metro area. I've had basically almost nothing but CRAPPY experiences in a lot of these establishments around here. This one is way up on that list. Took my parents here for my Dad's birthday. My dad wore some Chicago sports themed clothing for the event. I was so excited to host them there, telling my dad they had Bear's paraphernalia hanging and the brick den pizzeria/ bar look we were used to from back home. I called ahead of time, asking for reservations, telling them I was excited to host my dad's birthday and that we were from Chicago, and if they could have the pizza hot and ready to serve, so my parents wouldn't have to wait 45+ minutes. They said "no problem". That they'd have the pizza mostly heated, and when we'd arrive, they'd pop it in for 5 minutes. We waited for about a half hour after checking in and telling them the details established during my call. The kicker - the server dumped it at the end of the table so we could serve ourselves (where's the hospitality? servers should serve a slice to each patron like back home with a welcoming smile, you know...maybe talk to us? - what are you earning your tip from, especially being completely EMOTIONLESS and checked out?!). Oh yeah, kicker is THE FREAKING PIZZA WAS LITERALLY COLDER THAN ROOM TEMPERATURE! She actually told us to be careful because it was "HOT"! Hah! This whole place is COMICAL! The cheese was basically SOLID where I could snip it clean with scissors. An ABOMINATION of Chicago deep dish. Half of it was supposed to be stuffed spinach/ garlic. These guys must've forgotten what STUFFED spinach/ garlic's supposed to look like - we got a few spinach leaves on top for garnish - that's it! What a joke! They used some of that cheap minced soaked garlic that we couldn't taste any garlic. But WAIT! I didn't get to the best part. All while we were attempting to "enjoy" the crappy pizza, everyone else left the dining section (it was just a little after 8:00pm - not close to closing) while the bar was still full. Our checked-out waitress started putting all the other chairs up on all of the tables LOUDLY - WHILE WE WERE EATING, and pulled out an OLD, STINKING MOP, and mopped the floor with old mop water, literally at the foot of our table. The stupid floor was completely WET (VERY!) when my elderly mother was afraid to walk on the stupid floor. WTF is wrong with you people? This restaurant, and this entire area as always gets a big fat F for being completely checked out, clueless, and unjustifiably entitled. The absolute worst customer service and food I've ever had the misfortune of having to live in for some time. Before we left, the half-dead waitress gave my dad very melted dollar store vanilla ice cream from a 1978 Kmart. I will NOT miss this place once I move away from here. Can't wait for that day. If you go here, don't even think this is anything even remotely close to an authentic Chicago Deep Dish joint, or any kind of Chicago restaurant. Customer service will always be a million percent better anywhere around Chicago than I've ever experienced anywhere here, and the food to match. If you want a crappy experience with cold, rubber pizza - come here and enjoy blowing your money for the authentic Temecula experience. read more

We had a wonderful experience at Rosatis! We took our 4 year old with us and we got there 30 minutes before their pizza by the slice deal was done - and the slices are HUGE!! Very generous portions! The waitress and person who brought out our food were incredibly polite and attentive - and the beer on tap is so good! When in the area we always come here to have some Chicago Style pizza. We always order the largest pizzzas so we can take some home. Always order a thin pizza and deep dish. Each and everytime we come staff is amazing, food is fresh right out of the oven and full of flavor! They have a full menu or so many other dishes not just pizza. Hot dog, beef, pasta. Never tried anything else but pizza but said next time we go, I'm going to give it a try. Go have some great pizza, you'll be happy you did! My hubby is from Chicago, and we LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this pizza! The sausage is kind of sweet, so it's a very satisfying "sweet and salty" type combo. It's so good that we almost always have it half eaten by the time I remember to snap a pix...so this time I just took one anyway. They only have 3 big booths, which we prefer to the tables, with all the kids running wild these days. There's lots of screens for every sport imaginable, and once, we even got to watch PICKLEBALL on one of the screens, which we loved. MY ONLY CONCERN IS THE LONG, UNRESTRAINED HAIR on a few of the servers...and also the cash register clerk was severely underdressed last time we stopped in. If you want a yummy slice of pizza this is the place to get it! You have to get there before 3pm to get the slice deal but the slices are super cheap and huge and you can add whatever toppings you want. Additional charges apply but to me it's worth it. I also love their side salad with grilled chicken. The ranch dressing is bomb and the salad is big for a side. Kayla was our bartender and super attentive and it was nice to not have to wait with an empty drink before being offered a refill. We ordered a medium Chicago style pizza with mushroom, pepperoni and sausage and it was very tasty! Very big portion and filling for size. So much left over. They warn you that it will take about 45 minutes for the pizza to be ready, but it was ok with us, just hanging out with the wifey, hearing 80s style music, so, no rush. Nice ambiance, but the pizza was a letdown. The Chicago deep dish for two was $25.00 plus $3.15 per topping, and they were pretty stingy with the toppings. It took forty minutes to get it to the table and it pie was already getting cold; the crust was tough and the cheese was too thick and stringy. I wouldn't order it again. Being from Chicago, someone referred us to Rosati's Pizza. We visited the Temecula location the first time and sat in the bar. Kayla the bartender was exceptionally friendly and the service was excellent. I preferred the ambiance of the bar for its Chicago sport team pride and the "ivy wall" representing Chicago's Wrigley Field. The bar is cozy with only about 4-5 high top tables and a small bar. The rest of the restaurant is booths separated by a wall from the bar area, but was a little boring to me. But hey! We were there for the pizza and that we LOVED. I had the Windy City thin crust in order to enjoy all of the toppings without too much bread. In fact, every time we go back I gravitate to the Windy City with its sausage and special giardiniera peppers. We have also had the Fabulous Four pizza, the calamari and the Chicago Cheef cheesy Beef sandwich. All which are also good washed down with a craft beer. All in all, we loved the food though it IS a bit pricey. We visited the Encinitas location which felt more like a bar to us and the decor was not as Chicago feeling to us. We didn't even order food at that location because we were so disappointed in the ambiance. read more

I had high hopes this evening. Because of raving reviews, and maybe the only place that has deep dish pizza, I decided to cancel my Roundtable order and order from this place instead. They do not deliver over 5 miles so I sent my husband to pick up pizza. When we got home, we excitedly opened our box.
