The ambience is somewhat lacking, but hey- it's a take out place, what do you expect? The food is amazing and is always the right temperature. For years I've ordered Hot and Shredded Chicken. it would be full of julienned carrots and celery…read more i had not had it in a while and ordered last week. There was barely 1 stalk of celery in it and instead they had sliced onion. I don't like much onion at all, so I picked it out. By the time I was done picking onion out, everyone agreed it was equivalent to a whole onion. TOO MUCH SND TOO OVERPOWERING. There was very little chicken. It tasted horrible. The place is filthy and I've always overlooked. Just more reasons to avoid this place. We need a good Chinese restaurant in Westmont.

Don't even bother with this buffet, especially if you like an early lunch. Opening time is 11am,…read morebut absolutely nothing is available then--just empty trays, some with ice. By 11:20 maybe 20% of the trays had food, and no one was in a hurry to address the issue. Servers were more interested in their cellphones. Sushi, when it finally came out, was a joke: 90% julienned celery, no avocado, almost no fish; a few pieces had a little fake crab but no other seafood. The staff member preparing sushi knew I was waiting but took her time, with nothing out until 11:30. The roast pork did not come out of the kitchen until 11:55. No mustard or duck sauce for the eggrolls, no diet soda of any kind. Entrees were standard quality, just mostly unavailable half an hour after opening. The fried sweet plantains and steamed shrimp were the best things offered. Go to the other Chinese buffet in town. It is cheaper and better run--never an empty tray. 56 Buffet is clean and attractive, but that doesn't count for much when food is not available, and the sushi is the worst I have ever encountered..

We ended up ordering a roll and a combo platter of sashimi and a roll. We also got miso soup and seaweed salad with soft drinks. Service was fast, our server was very nice and efficient, the food was all good and presentation eye catching. The only critique would be our diet pepsis.
