Over the years we have had some issues with both our old septic system and septic line and tank pump companies. Some companies have been very abrupt in telling us what the issues are and we remain clueless about how to fix it. The young guy that did the majority of the work was very nice and friendly. Not so the owner. I needed my sewer line replaced. They did come out in a timely manner. Cost was 12,000, if I paid with a card it was additionally 3%. To save some money I asked about paying in cash. Cash price was 10,000. Paid him and never got a receipt. Isn't that a bit crooked and maybe illegal? Don't recommend, there are plenty others out there that won't give you the shaft. read more

ZERO STARS!!!! This Company Is The Absolute Worst!!!! I called yesterday for my toilet that wouldn't flush! The tech came in and looked at my toilet like he'd never seen anything like it before, it's a regular toilet! He immediately told me I needed a new toilet and he could install it today, meaning yesterday. I told him no way, I don't want a new toilet, I want this one fixed. He went to his van and "got a quote" of $824 to fix my toilet! He then told me I needed to pay $412 upfront in order for the parts to be ordered and he'd see me next week! Mind you this is my ONLY toilet! I called a friend this morning told him my toilet was broken and he came over. He fixed my toilet in 20 minute, NO PARTS, NO TOOLS just his hands! The chain had come off the flusher bar. In addition to this review I will be calling the BBB on this company first thing Monday morning!!!!! I'm a single older female who knows nothing about toilets and I feel VERY TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF BY THIS COMPANY! I paid for the inspection services but I feel was way overcharged, for 2 people to be there for 20 mins to see what the problem was. Then upon inspection, said it was going to be a $2800 job. I had multiple quotes and estimates that day and chose someone else who quoted/estimated $440 for 2 hours of work and for a $6 coupler piece that needed to be fit around the pipe. Zero stars. The weirdest phone call to a " business" I've ever had. I think the person may have been intoxicated. Asked me each of the same questions at least 3 times, to the point where he acted like I was lying. Attempted to condescend me by not giving me a price, yet never even asked how big my tank was. Rudely asked me " when's the last time you've had it pumped-never???". I don't know, maybe 5 years ago. Then he says, "well how much did you pay?" . If your company states 24 hour service on google, I'd recommend you don't answer your phone if you're not in the right head space to speak to potential new customers in a professional manner. read more

Needed a septic pumped by tomorrow (Sunday) he said he could, but it would be a lot cheaper on Monday. We figured that but we were willing to pay since it needed to be done. I would strongly recommend avoiding this company and hiring just about anyone else to do your plumbing work. I was recently involved in the sale of a house in Reno. This company was brought in to perform an inspection of the septic. The inspection found a needed repair. The representatives of the company were extremely pushy and lacked any attention to detail. They misspelled the street address on the invoice and used the wrong name for me entirely. In addition, they were downright hostile to my representatives, including my real estate agent. This was even after I let them know that it was ok to talk to them. In addition, the cost of the work was almost double what it should have been. We were able to get the repair work completed with another company for almost $1000 less. The septic "inspection" report, that cost $350, consisted of one sentence and a photograph that couldn't be made out. The other thing provided was a photograph of a dirty printout stating that they would file a lean against the house if the bill wasn't paid. Finally, they forced a 3% credit card fee. This is only allowed if the company accepts another method of payment. They would not. I am opening a chargeback with the credit card company over this amount. Please take my opinion and avoid Rooter Man Plumbing. This experience was one of the worst I have ever had with a contractor. read more

Terrible Terrible service. We were having an emergency in my home, so I was calling around to see who could come out. One company said a tech would contact me, but they did not have a timeframe, so I called around to see if anyone could come out sooner. The owner was very curt and short me with. I was not able to complete a sentence with him as he continuously kept cutting me off. He also had a teach out, but refused to put me on the list to call me once he was completed on a job, if I was waiting for that other company to call back. Tried to convince us our septic tank couldn't be filled and said it was a clogged clean out. Wanted 450.00 to unclog it. Said he was only trying to help us. We already dug up the riser lids and if he had even bothered to look under them (I had to unscrew them) he would have seen our tank was overfilled. Very bad service. I called at 930 in the morning for a simple fix they said that a tech could come out same day no problem. They didn't give me a time frame and I ended up waiting a day an a half (calling 2 different times to confirm they are still headed out) for them to call me without announcing who they were or who they worked for asking if they still wanted them to come fix my water heater. I was fed up with them so I just told them no I'll figure it out myself and before they hung up hey laughed at said "at least I have hot water". Super rude customer service. Paid nearly $1000 for guaranteed unclogging of our drain. They refused to go through toilet and went through a tiny drain in bathroom sink instead. They never finished the job, but kept the money anyway. We then paid another company half that and they unclogged by going through the toilet drain with no problems. Rooter man is a rip off. In addition to stealing from us, the manager/owner's son was the meanest and most unprofessional person we've ever done business with. Had a water heater heater installed. Instead of pulling a permit, it took them 6 months to even pull it and that is after we had to contact them over and over again. The receptionist guy is rude and has no sense about him at all. tries to act smart and runs his mouth instead of actually doing his job. Avoid this company like the plague, call a real company this place is just a scam. I finally got an appointment, next wednesday 6-22-22 , for them to come out and fix the mess ups on the install after having to have a huge long conversation with the owner/receptionist about him being a smart mouth and not answering any questions about the product I paid thousands of dollars for. We had a plumber come to our home to find a leak under our home. Brad was our plumber and he came in and found the problem. But, this is where my huge problem lies. We have very light light carpet and dont wear shoes on the carpet. After Brad was done under our house he had mud and dirt all over his shoes. He went to go step on the living room carpet and I asked him to take his shoes off and he said oh it's ok and proceeded to step all over the carpet and told us that the carpet wasnt that nice anyway. Then my husband watched him lift the tarp we placed down for him to prevent dirt and mud getting all over and with his muddy shoes he smeared dirt all over the carpet in out bedroom. I understand we just rent but now this is something we have extra to pay for to clean the carpet and we shouldn't have to! OMG! I called last week to inquire about getting my septic pumped and they told me they didn't have a set price but they'd come to my home and give me a free estimate, which I thought was strange. They never showed so I called and asked if they were coming and they did a 180 and said why would we do that, it's a set fee of $650!!! That's nearly $200 more than anyone else. Of course I cancelled and would never recommend doing business with this flakey company. He also suggested I try a replacement cartridge and that was all it needed. I was able to resolve my leaking faucet myself with the help of Rich. Called at 9 for a tenant. Person showed up at 2:00 demanded $395 owner called me as after 1 hour called and demanded additional $695 with no guarantees. When I arrived asked what he had found said, "haven't ran the line have no idea and I'm leaving". So essentially charged almost $400 did nothing then said was leaving. I asked for more information/understanding was yelled at, confronted aggressively and told to FO? This was not personal, I had no intention of confrontation just the sewer line cleaned. My sewer line backed up Saturday night. I called Rooter Man early Sunday morning and they had someone out in under 20 min. Dan came out helped me track down where my overflow was and cleared the line quickly! He even went into my crawl space to see where the line exited from under the house. He also help me dig around and clear some bushes to get to the overflow. Dan was very nice and very professional. He also ran a camera down the sewer line from my house to the street and the line looked great! I was happy to see a root free line! The price wasn't too bad considering it was a Sunday. Dan also said clearing my line came with a 30 day warranty in case the line gets clogged again. I will definitely call these guys again if I need any sewer line or plumbing help! :) read more

So many issues. I am not a plumber, and I live in San Diego, so I needed a company that can figure out the job without my help. That was not the case. First when I called and told them my house drains were backing up. Notice I said house. I gave them the address of my house and the house code to get in the front door. They told me they would call me when they got underway so I could have someone there to meet them. They did not call until they were at a ski resort building trying to use my front door code. Then I figured out they were not at my house and gave them instructions on how to drive 200 yards up the road to my driveway. They then called me to tell me that it was just the washing machine drain that was stopped up. I had to argue that there was poop coming out of that drain. Finally they did clear a main line. But at a ridiculous charge they would not guarantee the work unless I paid a lot more to have a camera of the line. I have never paid so much to have a simple line cleaning and this is the first that the company does not guarantee their work. No, I'll never use them again. read more

They offer free estimate, that are not free, Ryan was going to go under my house without even discussing the cost, which would have been 380$ and that was just to locate the intake for the tank, even thought I had blue prints that show exactly where it is. He was coming to my house to dig up my yard without discussing any price. When I called the office looking for Ryan and a very RUDE man answered had no idea who I was and proceeded to hang up on me, when I called back very annoyed by the way I was being treated, he said it was an accident, no accident, you said **** and hang up. Worst customer service, they answer there phone in the work area, it is so loud and on speaker phone. I really don't know how they are still in business.
