Got the Crab cakes...ok I could hardly eat them. The crab meat was the lowest quality of crab. Looked like canned crab meat. They were flat about a 1/4 inch. Over fried. So very sad for $34 dollars. Green fried tomatoes. Just a stack of tomatoes without sauce. (Ever pic shows a sauce served with them) my husband had red fish...it was just ok. Now the dessert didn't get what was described on menu. It was good sadly the desert was the best part of the meal. The service was a 4. The place needs a full make over w a better menu & chef. I would not recommend. Unfortunately I will never visit again. It is very low quality cooking.

Last night I went again and ordered a Fiddler cheeseburger with onion rings, firecracker shrimp, Fiddler fries and I went ahead and got chicken wings. If I get home I found that the chicken wings were cooked to perfection, the Fiddler cheeseburger was very good but they don't put condiments on it. They offer you packets but you have to put it on yourself so I whipped out some ole Duke mayonnaise and ketchup and did it myself, the firecracker shrimp were good and the Fiddler fries were mediocre. Overall the experience was good though and I was really impressed. By the way, the onion rings were fantastic. I think they make them there. They're themselves. They don't seem to be pre-breaded. I got there just as they opened at 4:00 and they got slammed almost immediately because it was a nice day on the lake and everybody was wanting something to eat. I'll be back. It was good.

We started with the fiddler fries and crab bites. Highly recommend the fiddler fries. The crab bites were not good at all. Very bland in flavor. I had the catfish platter with onion rings. My husband had there Sirloin special with collards and baked potato. Fish was cooked to absolute perfection, onion rings delicious, steak flavored and cooked beautifully, collards tasted sour and baked potato was good. I also got a blue Murray it was ok. For the flavors listed all I could taste was cherries and it wasn't one of the flavors listed. Ended dinner with their new toffee cake dessert. Now that was delicious!!! Service was ok. Had to look for our waitress a good bit but overall. Would definitely go here again. If you haven't tried it. I definitely would.

Cuisine: 8 Service: 7…read moreDecor: 8 Value: 7 Overall: 8 One of the nicer restaurants in the town of Lexington. I have visited on several occasions and found everything to be solid. Service is good and the decor is relaxing. If I was looking for a nicer meal in Lexington, this restaurant is on my list. Though not on the level of Cajun cuisine I had in New Orleans, the food is definitely good. Their Gumbo was flavorful with a rich dark roux. The She-Crab Soup is crabby and creamy, full of umami. I also like their Seafood Jambalaya, Blackened Redfish, and Classic Crawfish Étouffée. The only thing that was underwhelming was their Crab Cakes and Homemade Bread Pudding. On a busy evening, you can find couples having date night, as well as families, and some groups of ladies dressed up for a girls night out. It is a place fitting for all types of diners who enjoy good Cajun cuisine.

We have gone to this establishment for years and were a bit disappointed to see how limited the choices are with entrées. I had the Caesar salad with salmon. We especially miss the skillet appetizers and the pasta/seafood entrée.

We started off with some fried green tomatoes.  Everyone does their little twist on them and this place did the same.  Personally, I am good with them as is and maybe some remoulade for dipping.  Here they had a pepper sauce that came with them and cheese melted atop the FGTs.  Not bad and nothing killed or overpowered the flavor from the FGTs.  However, I did wish that the pepper sauce had a bit more kick.  I cannot remember the name but the drink of the much was a peach based drink.  It was good and it was not just some peach flavored alcohol but it was made with peach puree.  They had me at peach when she ran through the specials.    For the main entrée it was the ribeye at a medium rare with fries and asparagus.   You get a choice of a bordelaise or garlic aioli to accompany your steak or whatever you want to dip in it.  Steak was cooked to the medium rare as I requested and that is a good start because we know there those places that consider what you ask for as just a suggestion.  Good flavor from the steak with no need for the sauce as I found out and I just enjoy asparagus.    Good experience.  Despite this being my first time here this place gave the vibe as a solid choice.  One of those places where when you are unsure of what you want but don't want to risk something new because you are hungry or with someone who cannot come to terms with their food desires.  This is a that old, trusted place you can rely on when you are hungry and good service.  A first experience that went very well.
