    Best dogs anywhere

Hands down best hot dog joint in town or ANYWHERE for that matter. I've had plenty of hot dogs from fairs to sporting events to back yard BBQs but nothing compares to these. Their chili sauce is outstanding and no wiener is complete without it. Don't forget a glass Stein of root beer as well. The best you will find as well. Yes they have ham sandwiches and popcorn but if you want a few hot dogs and root beer or root beer float, THIS is the place. Each visit back to my hometown of Kzoo I make sure I stop in for a drive up hot dog x 3. They Are rather smallish so 3 it always is Make sure you come between Memorial Day to Labor Day as they close for the winter months since it's drive up service only.

I love the root beer stand. What a great summer tradition! From their hot dogs to their fantastic homemade root beer. It's a drive in and they have carry out. It is cash only. The staff is really friendly and the food is really good. This place is hot dog heaven.

Taste waaaaay better than it looks, trust me. If you haven't had a root beer float before. I hadn't either before this. I'd chewed on sassafras and called it good. But I'm glad I gave it a try. Especially here, where root beer floats are their specialty. The prices are fairly cheap, they make it fast, and it's all car-side service. No need to get up and head to a window, door, or screen. They do have other drinks if you don't like root beer. Also, they have hotdogs made a number of different ways. Yes even a cheese dog too! Then of course you have popcorn. A easy to munch on salty, yet eventually filling snack. If you're looking for a cheap quick root beer float. This is the first place to come to mind. When it is open for the season that is!

The root beer and orange soda weren't as sweet as we would have liked. Staff were friendly and attentive.

The hotdogs are boiled, the "chili sauce" might as well be ketchup, and the root beer is watery. It just not good.

We stopped by around 1 PM on a Saturday! It was super busy and packed! I love that it's family-friendly! It was fun seeing all of the kids running around and playing games - there are SO many games (two full rooms) from air hockey to arcades games to darts to duckpin bowling to pinball machines to pool tables - they literally have it all! Our daughter enjoyed playing ALL the games while my husband and I enjoyed our beer flights and waited for our food! Food: Our daughter ordered the Kids Mac and Cheese with Kettle Chips. The mac and cheese was cold and dry and her kettle chips were cold and stale. She did not enjoy her meal at all! I wonder if her food sat out while my husband and I's food was being prepared as my kettle chips were more fresh and actually tasted good! I ordered the Cuban with Kettle Chips. This was probably the best Cuban sandwich I have ever had (and I have had quite a few Cuban sandwiches in my lifetime)! The pork was smoked and absolutely delicious and tender! They were not skimpy on the pork either (like some other restaurants can be when ordering a Cuban sandwich)! The bread was perfectly toasted too! My husband ordered Buffalo Wingdings. These were perfectly smoked and fall-off-the-bone good as well (maybe a little too fall-off-the-bone for a wing though)! However, the chicken wings still tasted great! Drinks: My Flight - Straight Forward, Grandpa's Hard, Bad Adz, BBA Wizard Potion, and Bogged Down. Husband's Flight - Stained Glass, Ripped Right, Bad Add, Rogue Red, and Simco. These were all good and we enjoyed them! We will definitely stop by again if we are ever back in the area!

I ordered the Honey Chicken sandwich with the cheese curds and it was honestly delicious. The chicken was good and a perfect blend of savory and sweet, the sandwich came with lettuce, freezer pickle and ranch. The cheese curds were surprisingly some of the best I've had and were perfect with a bit of ranch. I'd have the meal again and hopefully next time, the exchange is up and running! :)

Apoptosis is a nice and classy bar/brewery with a variety of crafted beers…read more I was impressed by this location, although it was a big apple bagel previous, the interior is well balanced to be clean but not sterile. It was very clean and relaxing, although some of the tables are a little packed into the tiny venue. My guess is the service behind the bar were the two owners, and one bartender they were able to get during this pandemic, all whom were very friendly. Unfortunately, I got one wrong beer in my flight (all the names of the names of the beer are scientific-related, so I'm guessing it's easy to get confused), but the mistaken was still pretty good. The Beer: I had a flight and the 4 flavors were all very good. The variety they demonstrated wide had quite a few unique beers, such as a grape cream ale, milk stout, IPA, raspberry wheat, a blood orange something, Pineapple seltzer etc. etc. I found that a lot of their beers have a very similarly cultivated flavor profile that is a mild flavor but every beer always has a very clean after taste. The beers are served lightly chilled, but not ice cold, (probably to let the flavors stand out). My guess is that the beer might not be for everyone, but I think overall, the beers are made well and are easily drinkable. I don't think they had food or a kitchen - I don't recall seeing a menu. But overall, I was impressed by Apoptosis, and highly recommend giving it a try.

The fact that you can't see it's layout from the ground floor lends to the allure. All this is to say that I created a legend in my head that sadly wasn't true. Skydeck was interesting, fun for a night, and not much more. Perhaps it's for this reason that I gave it an average rating. But I also think that there were a few flaws regarding the space and I'll lay them out here. First and foremost, you pay a premium to be in this space, both in the form of a cover ($10, nothing insane) and an apparent tariff on the drinks (maybe it's handling fees for hauling it all up so high?). Either way, you should expect to be a bit gouged for cash. Not all of the drinks are insane, but mixed drinks are pricey, and some of their "signature" drinks top $12. Now, initially, this might seem like a fair trade: a bit extra for high quality drinks and a higher quality view. But here's the rub: it's a small space, it's packed, and the edge seats go first. For me and my group to enjoy the breathtaking view of Kalamazoo, we would have to stand or share tables. It's difficult to blame them for being popular. That being said, I don't really feel like we received the main feature of the venue. A friend of mine put it sagely: it's a great date spot, or celebration, but you don't go their to drink. You go there for the experience. Therefore, this won't become one of my "regular spots." Here are some positives to end on: -Amazing view of the city -Great ambiance, especially at night -Wonderful service -Elevator!

We arrived exactly at 4 PM after seeing this weekly promotion on social media. Upon arrival, the venue was empty, yet we were completely denied access to bowling due to a private event, and told that no bowling customers would be allowed until 6 PM. Before anything else, I want to clarify an important point: "Free" does not mean customers should be treated poorly. Free events are often meant to introduce people to a business, attract new customers, and create a welcoming first impression. Offering something for free does not justify rude behavior, dismissive communication, or shifting responsibility onto customers. Respect and basic courtesy should apply regardless of whether an event is paid or free. What bothered me most was not being turned away, but the blame-shifting that followed. When a business publicly advertises "Free Bowling Wednesdays" and encourages people to show up at 4 PM, it is reasonable for customers to rely on that information. Adding the word "limited" on social media posts does not communicate that no bowling customers are allowed at all until 6 PM due to a private event. Those are two very different messages. Instead of acknowledging the lack of clear communication, the responsibility was shifted onto us as customers with statements like "you should have called." This is unfair. Customers should not be expected to double-check an advertised public event by phone when no such instruction was mentioned. What made the experience more disappointing was the lack of empathy no apology, no ownership of the confusion, and no attempt to acknowledge how frustrating it is to arrive on time to an empty venue and still be denied entry. This review is not about complaining. It's about accountability. Clear communication and basic courtesy go a long way, and this situation could have been handled very differently with a simple acknowledgment and apology.
