I wanna start off by saying I am by no means a fan of Macarons. Never had been. Never thought I would be... I recently graduated nursing school and a family member of mine bought me a box of Rooftop Macarons. I thought "okay I'll just regift these to my fam. But the assorted colors and creme compelled me to try one. I'm very glad I did. The shell were the perfect dainty crisp with a favorable chew. They didn't crumble in my fingers and they held together very well. The creams were nothing like I'd tasted before. There was a lemon creme with a raspberry jelly that was sooo refreshing and vibrant. I was very pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed it. Then I tried one that tasted like a delicious cinnamon snickerdoodle. Not a huge fan of snickerdoodle in general but their mastery at balancing flavors was very apparent. There was a chocolate hazelnut one that was sooo rich and decadent. I found that my favorite "rich" flavor was a salted caramel macaron that was absolutely amazing, perfect balance of sweet and salty. I still have about 6 macarons to go and I'm planning to re-up as soon as I finish the last one. They're the perfect little dainty treat that packs a wonderful and enjoyable punch. They changed my mind about macarons and I truly feel that actually good macarons take practice. These are not your typical grocery store generic macarons. These are special. Special enough to make me switch my opinion on the dessert. read more

Macarons a dozen for $30! Don't forget your student ID for a discount! I haven't tried all of the flavors but I did enjoy the crème brûlée, expresso, and tiramisu. I thought the lemon and pandan one was okay. The macarons start getting harder by the 3rd day so make sure to eat them all up! I'll probably come back if they have interesting flavors. read more

They hands down have the best macarons in Elk Grove, hell all of California even! Trust me, I've tried macarons from all over, even in France! The texture, moisture, & flavors all burst in my mouth & keep me wanting more! I've tried most of their coffee drinks, macamisu, & macarons. They're all must get. I was looking for places with good matcha in Sac and came across this place which had a good overall rating. I decided to give it a shot and ordered a small matcha latte with no ice, while my friend got a small creme brûlée latte with ice. I was surprised and disappointed to see that my matcha was half full, compared to my friends' drink with ice. Although I liked how the matcha tasted, the fact that my drink arrived like this came off really unprofessional and petty. I know there was another review complaining about this. To respond to the business owners' reply to that review: I can assure you the matcha was not strong at all without ice-- in fact it was the perfect "strength" of matcha and ice would have definitely tamed it down for the worse. So I don't understand why it needs to be half full when ice would definitely make the matcha taste watered down and basically leave the drink with little matcha flavor. I have never gotten a half filled drink at any cafe after asking for no ice, not even Starbucks. Overall good quality matcha but awful uncalled for policies. read more

I'm so glad this place is open. I loved seeing them at events, as a booth, but they definitely need their own space. It's surprisingly a big sized space. I could definitely see myself studying here, they have big tables, outlets and wifi. It's nicely decorated in there. The staff are kind a friendly. They have drinks, macarons & tiramisu. I tried their banana matcha latte. It was great, it was a great combination and ratio of flavors. A lot of their other drinks sound good and I'm excited to come back and try them. I finally got to try out Roof Top Macaron and wow I've been missing out. I tried their durian matcha latte, banana cream pie macamisu, Oreo macamisu Nutella s'mores, vanilla bean, Creme brûlée & cookies and cream Macarons! They were all so yummy!! Macarons are $2.95 each or $30 for a a dozen! As for the durian matcha latte it was $6.95, durian is definitely an acquired taste, you either love it or you don't. There's not really an in between. I actually love it & yall already know I love matcha. I was so intrigued by the flavor combo, I decided to give it a try and WOW. It's amazing, I've never had anything like it. I was pleasantly surprised at how well it went together, but if you don't love durian I don't recommend getting this. They have plenty of other milk tea, matcha & coffee options! The store itself is super spacious, they have seating. The service was amazing too. Given it was my first time, nancy was super helpful and welcoming. Definitely will be coming back! :) read more

THESE ARE THE BEST FRIGGIN MACARONS THAT I'VE EVER HAD Y'ALL! And I've had a lot from all over the place. I've been following them in IG for awhile now, and finally went and got some today. The location is out of the way for me, but I'd make a trip as these are soo crave-worthy! (also wanted to add that I feel that I am usually left unimpressed, esp when I have high hopes for a place, so a five star from me is rare. that's how much I liked their macs). They just opened in-store again (instead of pick up only; started about a week ago - as of 3/12/22). I would've preferred to pick flavors in-store so that I could pick more flavors. When ordering online (via DM on IG), you only get to pick 6 flavors of the dozen. I got creme brûlée, espresso, tiramisu, Girl Scout (Samoa), salted caramel, and Nutella s'more. All were hella good. So much flavor and it's on point! Most of the time, I feel like macs lack flavor and are kinda dry. These are so flavorful and the perfect density. I would recommend all these flavors and can't wait to try more. I also got a cookies & cream macamisu. It was yummy and I would also recommend trying one. I also can't wait to try more of these. GO GET SOME Y'ALL! Oh and service was slow, but that was more because of customers asking lots of questions and taking forever to order. They only had two people working (still working of staffing - everyone seems to be having that problem since the pandemic, I get it), so I'm sure once they have more it will be much faster. I was mostly annoyed with the wait because my baby was outside waiting in the car with her dad and I know she was upset being stuck in her car seat and I was just picking up an order. Perhaps having a separate pick up area would help in the future (although I know they're trying to get away from online orders now that they're open in-store again). I really enjoy coming here for the coffee and macarons. They used to open later in the day but they open from 7am-7pm now which is great for people who work at 8am to stop by for some coffee! They offer the following: Vietnamese coffee Tea Macarons Macamisu It also looks like they're expanding their drink menu as well. I've tried almost every single macaron flavor and none of them disappoint. I did miss out on the durian macaron though :( really wish I was able to try it! I love how strong their coffee is especially when I am really tired and need that extra boost. If you don't like strong bitter coffee then you can ask them to adjust it! Employees are super nice. Since they opened their store front, I decided to try it today after following them for a while on Instagram. The shop is so cute! Employee was friendly and happily gave me recommendations of her favorite flavors of macarons. I got the durian egg coffee, now I love durian. And the girl told another customer they used actual durian! This coffee was SO good, I finished it before I left the parking lot. The macarons were delicious! Pandan coconut, and crème brûlée was my favorite. But, to be honest every flavor I got was so yummy it's hard to pick a favorite. Only sad I ordered half a dozen and not a dozen. Next time I want to try the macamisu, they were sold out of the durian one so I didn't get it this time. Definitely recommend trying it out. I will for sure be coming back often! read more

Very cute place! they def have slow and busy times, we came in and it was very quiet. Our drinks that day came with a complimentary macaron which was a great surprise. It was great to work with Nancy for our wedding. My order was for custom macarons. Each wedding guest would have two macarons placed in a clear box with their name on each macaron set on at their place at the dinner table. She worked with me by even ordering a sample of the clear box to ensure that the macarons would fit inside the box and made sure she didn't fill each macaron with too much filling so that it could fit. We ended up picking strawberry cheesecake and lemon raspberry as our two flavors. One macaron was white with each wedding guest's name written on it. The other was dark green with a gold foil splash. It was SO elegant! With the order, I assembled it myself and couldn't get a few of the macarons to fit when they started to crack inside. There were about 8-9 macarons that started to crack because of my terrible handling. Nancy had me return with all the cracked macarons and she had extra white macarons and re-wrote all the names again and helped me to pack the rest of the boxes. Customer service like this is rare and hard to find so it is VERY appreciated. Please keep up this level of excellent customer service! Scheduling pick up and the location was easy to find. I communicated with her using Instagram DMS and text messages - and she was SO responsive. I am so happy to support small local women & Asian-owned small businesses like Nancy's. read more

I absolutely love all the flavors of macarons they have here! I was driving with them to the Bay in 110° weather and was terrified it would turn into a sticky mess (since the cream was light and airy), but it survived the drive! (Just make sure it doesn't shine in the sun obviously..) Their Macarons are so cute and the drinks are so good. I have tried Jasmine, Thai tea, and egg coffee. They are all tasty. You can taste and smell the Jasmine flavor + grass jelly or boba to keep your mouth busy . The egg coffee is strong but so good. I wouldn't drink it after 2 or 3pm if you are sensitive to caffeine. Inside the coffee shop is very nice, clean, and spacious. Staff are super friendly and very welcoming. Egg coffee drink was very concentrated and it tasted ok. Went back the next following weekend to try another drink, toasted coconut latte. Of the two, I preferred the Toasted Coconut Latte. However, I feel it's a bit pricey for the size. I do love that this coffee shop offer discounts quite often. Definitely take advantage of it when they do especially for those macarons! This coffee shop is known for it's macarons. They are stunningly beautiful and almost too pretty to eat! It's bigger than normal sizes that I'm use to seeing, but very reasonable for it's price. There's so many flavors to choose from, and you can't just get one. Get the dozen! Macarons are good and flavors are unique! Macaron tip: Don't make the mistake like I did by eating it right away when they just got out of the fridge. Give it at least 20-30 mins for the shells to soften up. I was excited to discover another phin drip coffee house pop up in Sacramento! Store also offers a fairly large selection of macarons. Love their menu full of exotic coffee flavors, such as durian, how exciting! I had to try it. Durian flavor nailed perfectly! Strong and bold coffee toped with durian egg foam. I first sipped the foam and coffee separately and both layers were creamy and delicious! Swirled it all together and it was even better. Very clean and large coffee house offering lots of space to sit down and enjoy. The vibe here is very calming. The two ladies at the counter were very friendly and helpful, and I had a nice conversation with them. Had to try their creme brulee macaron, not something I regularly see. Not sure why they're called macarons when their egg coffee is the best thing about this shop. The egg coffee has a nice creamy top made of egg crème on top of deliciously brewed French pressed coffee. It's then magically poured over crushed ice. It has a wonderful blend of creamy coffee bitterness with sweet crème on top. I've tried the macarons and they're ok. I had to make sure I wasn't crazy, so my 3 year old nephew tried one too. I would definitely meet up with friends to have coffee here or even bring my laptop & chill here myself in the future! The staff is welcoming & helpful, especially if you're curious about all of the flavors of everything they have to offer! I got the toasted coconut latte, strong with subtle sweetness, topped with some kind of cream & toasted coconut bits! They have a good selection of coffees & if you like Vietnamese coffees, you will love it! For desserts I got 3 different kinds of "Maca-misu's" - Pandan, strawberry, & fruity pebbles! Super different & very delicious, especially if you want a lil' treat! I respect the price point because everything is made in house & definitely made with love!
