We have used Roof Tops a couple of times to assess/repair a roof leak and then completely redo a roof. We reached out to a few contractors and went with Mike because he was one of the only ones who promptly responded, offered a reasonable quote, and was knowledgeable about roofs. He took the time to review the damage, make a plan with us, and showed up when he said he would. He and his team completed the new roof efficiently and it looks great! He came in a timely fashion and then asked if I had a barrel to collect the material he got out of my gutter. When I said I didn't have that, he said he was leaving unless I paid him more then sent a sarcastic text to me. He later called me and we talked things out. He clearly cares about his business. Gutter cleaning is just not his thing, however. It looks like from other reviews, that his work in other areas is much better. read more

Mike did a fantastic job repairing siding broken by another roofing company (Brown Brothers ) that they were charging 9x as much to fix. We moved into a new home and immediately had problems with skylights that were leaking in multiple places. We lucked out finding Mike who arrived quickly after we called for an estimate. We thought he was just going to take a look and schedule a time to come back later, but while up on the roof during that first visit, he quickly sealed off the majority of the leaks. He had to come back for a more complicated one, but was great about responding to my texts, showed up when he said he would, and then spent the time necessary to find and solve the problem. First time Mike showed up to do some repair on our chimney flashing he didnt have a tall enough ladder - so he had to come back. He said the house was taller than it looked in the picture I sent him. Fine, no problem. He came back about a week later and a nightmare scenario unfolded. I get home from work and he's parked in my neighbor's driveway without permission (could have simply parked on the street). He and his crew are without masks even though a neighbor explained it's a Brookline ordinance - must be worn in public. His crew is in a rusty old van out of Rhode Island which was parked in my next door neighbor's driveway and their ladder is setup in their yard to reach our house. When I asked him why he was parked in my neighbor's driveway without permission he said "you gotta do what you gotta do". When they were done with the job, his crew backed out their old van into my neighbor's garage, did a quick inspection and then drove away. I didnt see any damage, but you can imagine the frustration at that point since my neighbor was also watching. He asked for a check to be made to one of his crew members. A total and complete lack of professionalism. No receipt, no contract, nothing. As he leaves he randomly tells me he had Covid in March so we shouldnt be worried about catching it from him. I'm not sure what planet this guy is operating on, but do yourself a favor and hire someone with more professionalism. I can only imagine the quality of the fix they did. I'll probably need to hire someone else just to check on the work they did. read more

I can't say enough wonderful things about Mike! We had a sudden leak in our bedroom after a big storm on a Tuesday, and he came by on Thursday to check things out.
