This is a long overdue review of the Kavanaugh Roofing Company who expertly replaced our leaky roof which now not only doesn't leak but also looks very attractive on our home. We all remember the winter of 2015, or should I say the ice dams and water damage that resulted from it. After many weeks (okay months) of searching the internet and reading review after review about local area roofing companies, I made my decision to call 4. Being in the middle of a very busy work season, I was prepared to wait for appointments. The first company I called said they would come the following month to take measurements and survey the damage, and then prepare a quote that would be sent to us. The second company, again a busy time of year for them. never even called me back. The third company said they would drive by the next week, look around, and then leave an estimate in our mailbox. The estimate was sooo expensive I didn't even have to think about it...I simply said " Oh my, thank you for your time, but the numbers don't fit into our budget. And then there was Paul. When I called, (he picked up the phone himself) he said "yes" they were very busy but since he lived in the same town...he would come over after work and scoot us in. Wow! After a hard day of work, he was going to come and size up our roofing job. When we met Paul, we liked him right away. He has so much experience that after he respectfully listened to our situation, he presented what he would do, and quoted us right there!!! He was not the cheapest, but certainly not the highest! The only problem was that he could not physically do the work until the following spring. Mostly my fault for waiting until July to start calling around. I didn't hire him right away because I felt that I needed to allow the first company that had responded to my calls still come for their August appointment. After receiving the final quote on our job, it was late August before we called Kavanaugh Roofing back. We decided that since we felt most comfortable with Paul doing our job, and he provided us with such a detailed explanation of what was to be done, we would wait for the following spring for the project to begin. We crossed our fingers and hoped that the Winter of 2016 would not be as bad as the previous winter. From the time between Paul coming to our house and the work being down, Paul contacted us several times to assure us that he had not forgotten about us. We also decided during that interval of time that we wanted to do some more extensive roof work than originally planned. Paul was more than happy to accommodate us. And just as he promised, we were one of his first roofing jobs this spring. End result...we have a beautiful new roof on our home. Paul and his crew were efficient, quick, and super neat. "The yard was impeccably clean after the work was done." And that was stated by one of the toughest after job inspectors around...my husband! I am submitting this review because we had such a positive experience that I wanted to pass it on. Although different people expect different things when hiring a company to do house jobs, I do believe it is worth a call to Paul Kavanaugh's Roofing Company so you can decide for yourself. We can't wait for the next snowy winter because we are ready....or at least our roof is!!! read more

Just had a new roof put on our home by Kavanagh Roofing and can't say enough great things about our experience. Paul was easy to work with, very responsive and was part of his own crew for most of the job. There's a sense of security knowing that the owner has personally performed the work. I had a few questions about some issues that we had dealt with in the past and Paul was very honest about some of the current conditions he was seeing and helped to ease my fears about the work. His crew was extremely courteous and went out of their way to not interfere with our daily routine. Our yard was cleaner when they left than before they arrived and he even sent one of his guys back a few days later to do a final sweep of the yard with magnets to remove any remaining debris. Paul Kavanaugh Roofing came highly recommended from a neighbor and he lived up to all expectations. From the first call to the estimate to my request for additional work Paul was extremely responsive and helpful in making decisions. All the materials were delivered the day before as Paul said it would be and his team showed up early and finished the job quickly. Everything from the roof, to the gutters and downspouts looks awesome, his team was great and they left a very clean job site. Kavanaugh Roofing did an excellent job for us in Medfield. Paul and his team were extremely efficient. Paul came to the house within 1.5 days of us making the call to him to inquire about his services. He explained everything from who would be on the job to how long it would take. He was spot on. We also liked how Paul is on the job managing his team and on the roof himself working. He doesn't just get the business and then ditch you once the job starts like other companies do. Paul Kavanaugh has been a wonderful roofer for us this past year. He just recently replaced our entire roof and was prompt, efficient, honest and reliable. He came over quickly when we asked for an estimate, he provided us with samples and honest feedback about the condition of our roof. He was also very mindful of the weather and patched a problem for us last fall before heavy rains early on a Saturday morning. He stood behind his estimate six months later and again was very responsive to my calls. His crew were all on time, hardworking and very considerate. I highly recommend Kavanaugh Roofing, they did an excellant job at a good price. Paul the owner was on site from beginning to end and he followed thru on everything he said he would do. I knew Paul had a lot of experience roofing because my brother worked for his father some 40 years ago when he owned the company. His experience showed through out the job as they finished in 2 days on a 3 story 100 year old house with a lot of detail work. Paul and his crew made this whole process super easy. From the estimate through completion, Paul (who was onsite) and his crew (who were all professional and friendly) came in an prep'd on Friday with our permission, and were then able to strip and complete 3/4 of the main roof, and all of a rubber roof in the first day. They had to break for weather - but made sure we were buttoned up against the weather. From start to finish, Paul did and amazing job. He called back immediately and gave us an estimate + samples right after checking the roof. They showed up when they said they would, bright and early. They stripped the roof, made repairs and shingled in 2 days. The roof was finished yesterday and the dumpster is already gone. The yard was left nice and clean. Thank Goodness for a Sunny Day! After what seemed to have been 40 days of rain, finally a break. As promised Kavanaugh was there at the crack of dawn to begin. Paul Kavanaugh had given me a great/fair price to strip and replace my roof. My house isn't very big, not a lot of pitches, pretty straight forward. I received a call at 2pm stating my house was done and clean up had begun. I came home to a beautiful new roof. It really changed the whole look of the house. He also gave me materials to help me decide which roofing material/color/style would be best in our application. As we moved forward, he kept me informed via phone and email.
