Homeowners Read This Before Replacing Your Roof!
We've been seeing the Roof Maxx commercials for a while and were really curious about how they treat roofs and help extend the life instead of replacing them, especially if the roof is still in decent shape.
So we decided to have them come out and take a look. Before that, I had already had someone else come out, and I also did an aerial survey of my roof and sent over photos of the problem area, which was the flashing around our chimney.
Before moving forward with the other contractor, we figured we should check out RoofMaxx first. Brian came out, showed up right on time, which I appreciated, and was very professional and responsive.
What stood out was how knowledgeable he was. He took the time to explain what contractors typically use for flashing and why a lot of those materials don't last long, sometimes only about a year depending on heat and weather. That really helped me understand why shorter warranties are common.
He gave us three options, one for the problem area, one for the surrounding area, and one for the entire roof. Everything was clearly explained, and the pricing was reasonable, a little over $5,000 for the full roof. Based on everything he explained, we decided to just go ahead and do the whole roof.
On the day of the work, he did exactly what he said. He cleaned the roof thoroughly, removed debris and pine needles, and cleared the gutters. He made sure everything was clean before applying the treatment.
When he inspected the roof, he also pointed out a couple of other potential trouble spots and included how he would address them in the estimate, which I appreciated.
After the treatment, the roof looks great. I honestly haven't seen it look this good since we moved in almost 20 years ago.
Overall, Brian did a great job. Very detailed, professional, and took the time to explain everything.
If you're a homeowner and have concerns about your roof, I'd recommend at least having RoofMaxx come take a look. We had Brian, and he was solid. read more
