I researched several roofing companies before my husband and I selected Colin Roofing. It's a family owned company, by father and son. They came out and assessed the leak we had, and made us aware of an additional troubled spot. We received a good quote and were placed on their work schedule. During the repair work, they removed half of our roof tiles, replaced damaged boards and put down the under covering material. In replacing our tiles, they fixed the errors of the original home builders. They did an excellent job. We'd like to thank Juan and Javier Colin and their team: Blas, Arturo, Carlos, Jose and Noe. This company was hired to fix a leak in our roof. They said we had to take off half of the roof to do so. In the process they broke dozens of tiles and replaced them with tiles that didn't even match the color of the rest of the roof. They didn't fix any damage and simply covered the old underlayment with a sheet of plastic, i.e. the new underlayment that's warranty was voided when installed incorrectly. They never remedied the actual problem, as far as I know they never even looked for the leak as they admitted they didn't replace any portion of the wood where the damage is. Leaving us with a visually sloped roof and moldy wood underneath the sloppy sub-par work that they did. We had a beautiful 30 year old roof that only had a leak and they destroyed it leaving us with all this to deal with. It should also be noted that they canceled twice and were 4 and 6 hours late on 2 of the 3 days that they came. They also did the entire job without a permit and lied to us saying that they didn't need one. Now look at the pictures of what they claimed was a $6000 portion of our roof that would last for the next 30 years. This company was just completely unprofessional in every way. Not sure why this clown did this to us, but he tried to take advantage of us and that's just unacceptable, shame on you Juan Colin. read more

What a pleasure to deal with. We requested estimates from several roofing companies, 2 from Glendale which where a complete rip off at 23G for a 2000 Square single story, Collin's estimate was around 12.6G. They showed up on a Monday & Tuesday for the removal, and where very clean as far as debris around the yard, replaced a sheet of OSB, applied the underlayment, and where back on Thursday for the flashings and shingles. Very quick, and clean all debris was removed. In the future we will absolutely use Collin Roofing for our future needs. Thanks' to Collin's for there excellent work, true craftsmen. read more

Was in need of a complete underlayment replacement for a concrete tile roof and had multiple roofers come out for bids and decided to go with Colin Roofing due to the amazing communication from them. Hired Colin Roofing to resurface a patio roof. They sent two sub contractors. After resurfacing the roof these two guys proceeded to "seal" the roof near the house with black sealant. They pasted this sealant 7 inches up the side of my stucco'd wall. When I became upset, these two sub contractors suddenly forgot to how to speak English. Had the individual I spoke with send two new guys to re-stucco my wall. Not going to use than again, which is unfortunate because the first time I used Colin roofing they were awesome. read more

It's been about a year and a half since my roof was replaced with zero issues.Discovered water in a hall closet that is rarely opened.After all the rain this year I assumed a leak around the evaporative cooler on the roof. Colin roofing came out and the first words were"Don't worry we will fix it, you are still under warranty"which was a great relief to us. After he inspected he said he could not see any leaks , that it may be the water line for cooler which is what it turned out to be. They were even going to send out a second person to confirm that it was not the roof leaking. Did a great job and got exactly what I asked for. The job was delayed due to rain a week before my project but I was updated daily. Communication was excellent. The workers did leave behind some trash from their lunches (foil and Mc Donald's coffee creamers) and I found some old roof and nails on the ground. That's not a big issue in my book since it wasn't a significant amount. The foreman on the job was professional and courteous. He made sure to ask when he needed to use something of ours, told me about the materials they were using in comparison to the old stuff, and took care of his crew by making sure the working environment was safe. They quickly responded to my request for an estimate and showed at the appointed time. We had 2 areas on our ceiling where there were cracks and what appeared to be moisture. Juan looked at one and pointed out it wasn't water damage and after looking at the exterior declared there was no damage in that area of the roof. The other spot, near our fireplace, was definitely a leak. He also explained our patio roof leak was due to improper installation of the roofing material. The quote gave extensive detail of the work they proposed at what we thought to be a reasonable charge. The crew showed up on time and performed the work professionally and with extreme courtesy. I did my request for a quote in February and we just completed the work last week. They were very fast and proficient showed up early and the job was complete within one day. There was a small touch up that needed to be taken care of but it was done in a timely fashion and I am happy with the job so far. in addition because we don't have very much rain to test out the roof I was given assurances that everything will be fine and that if there was any problems they will be more than happy to help. Being apprehensive to schedule without explaining what you feel and not returning a call is unacceptable. All that was needed was for someone to say that you needed the approval of the homeowner, even though I am well within my right of inspection contingencies on the house I am buying, and I would have gladly asked the homeowner to call and schedule. Instead, I was left waiting without any answer for a full work week and the only response I get is after I write a Yelp review. The owner just so happened to call you and scheduled an estimate as it was taking too long to get a response from you on my part (I did not reveal who I had called to the owner), and he was able to get an estimate the following day. Making an excuse about the weather from the previous week? You obviously had the time to send someone out, you just didn't have the time to call me back. Maybe it's because you thought the current owner was looking to have work completed now instead of a month from now as you knew that I was going to wait to complete repairs after I close escrow. read more

We had a roof leak that showed up in our garage and called three roofers to take a look. Philip came from Colin Roofing and was the only one who gave us a very reasonable estimate and detailed description of the issue. The other two roofers tried to tell us we needed to replace the entire roof but Philip said we could just fix the leaking area and he also gave us a warranty on that work! (The other roofers said if they only fixed the leaking area, they would not give a warranty.) After completing the work, Philip sent us an email with several photos showing before, during, after the process. He is so incredible!! He is also REALLY nice! Asked for an estimate, the estimated came out and tried a major up sale to have me replace half a tile roof. Only half. Bizarre. I only need a older flat roof replaced. I got their estimate and it was well over everyone else's and when I told them I did not need a tile roof replaced they stated they would only do the work if they replaced the roof. I got a beautiful job done by another roofer and it has held up during 2 long rains. Amazing, I have never experienced this before. I've had a roof on one of the rental properties I manage repaired four times, and it continued to leak. I called Colin Roofing after reading the reviews here, and they promptly inspected the roof and gave me a quote. While it was more than what I had hoped, I knew my less-expensive repairs were a complete waste of money, so I said okay. Juan was very communicative, showed up on time, removed way more tiles than my previous roofers, found the problem, replaced the plywood that was rotted and warped (which had never been done before), replaced the original tiles, and finished the job in one day. While I won't know until next year if the problem is solved (which always seems to be case in the Antelope Valley), I am confident that they actually found and corrected the damage. Since they offer a one-year warranty (five years on labor!), I don't have to worry. Great company! I'll never use anyone else in the area. read more

I needed an estimate for some maintenance that's required for my roof. Juan came out a couple days later let me know what was required and I continued doing some shopping around . Emailed then to actually schedule the maintenance and we set a date. Well that day came and went. The most honest and professional contractors ever! I talked to Reno to come to my house to check the roof, we sat down, and in 30 minutes we got the quote and the breakdown of the expenses. We have had more work done on this house in a short amount of time. We have worked with quite a few different contractors running the spectrum from professional to how the hell did you get here. Colin's was highly professional with out being glossy. I would say old school professionalism; here is the bid, time line and contract. The team showed up on time if not a little early every day. I never felt unsafe around them, in fact one of the guys helped me bring in my trash cans. The price was spot on and Reno worked to soften the additional city requirement costs. All were polite and cleaned up daily. They even finished a head of schedule. As far as pricng: we had received 2 other bids. One bid was lower and one was about the same.
