If you're looking for an honest, hardworking team to handle one of the most important investments…read morefor your home, look no further than ARH Roofing. After interviewing three other contractors, we chose ARH because of their incredible thoroughness. While other companies breezed through the estimate, Ruben pointed out critical details and considerations the others completely missed. It was clear from the start that he is exceptionally knowledgeable and truly knows his craft. Why We Recommend ARH Roofing: Expert Guidance: Ruben didn't just give us a quote; he walked us through the best approaches for our specific needs. He frequently visited the site to inspect the quality of the work, taking detailed pictures to show us exactly what was happening on our roof. He was also just a phone call away, he replied quickly to our questions. Hardworking Crew: The team works incredibly fast, but they don't sacrifice quality for speed. They were respectful of our property and ensured everything was neat, tidy, and picked up at the end of every single work day. Accountability:As with any large project, a couple of minor issues popped up--because things happen! However, all it took was a quick reach out to Ruben, and he had it taken care of immediately. Total Transformation:Our new roof has made the entire house look newer and keeps it much more protected. Most importantly, we've noticed the house stays significantly cooler, which is going to be a lifesaver during these hot summer months. When you are spending a significant amount of money on your home, you want someone who is going to work hard for the job and treat your house with respect. ARH Roofing delivered exactly that. We couldn't be happier with the results!

He even volunteered to repair the flashing at the base of my chimney and some broken tiles on the other side of the roof. He was the only roofer who went on top of the roof before giving me an estimate. The other roofers just eye-balled the problem area without actually going on the roof to examine it. Update (9-24-18) regarding a new / separate problem: I called him back today to examine why I was getting water inside my 2nd Floor, Front window when it rained. I though I needed the front-side on the roof repaired. He examined my 2nd floor window from the inside of the house first. Then he examined it from outside, while standing on the lower-roof. He HONESTLY told me that I did not need any roof repair. He said the problem was the window was missing some weather-striping in the corner spot. He took a picture of it with his cell-phone and showed me. He went back to his truck to get his caulk gun and filled the open spot. He also examined the roof above. He also recommended that I have the window examined by a professional since the weather-stripping was worn. Finally, he refused to accept any money for his time and effort because he said he did not do any roof work. His time and effort was very valuable and helpful to me.

I recently had my home reroofed. I had estimates from four reputable roofing companies and one…read morecompany stood out from the rest. I am EXTREMELY happy I chose JL Waller Roofing. Owner Jim Waller had very fair competitive pricing, was extremely professional, returned all calls quickly, answered all of my many questions and concerns completely and showed up on time every time. Before the roofing began with my approval Jim had me buy all my radiant barrier OSB weeks early which saved me hundreds of dollars as lumber prices continued to rise. His crew cleaned up completely each work day and their workmanship was top notch. My roof was started and finished precisely on schedule. The cost was exactly what was outlined in the contract with no surprises. Jim also worked in coordination with my Solar Panel project manager and Jim returned to my roof on the solar panel install day to make sure my new roof was not damaged or compromised during the solar install. Jim also provided the LADWP rebate paperwork. He was a class act every step of the way and I am very happy to recommend him. Thanks to you and your crew Jim! You guys do it right!

Jim Waller and his crew were/are the standout in this group, and we couldn't recommend him any more highly than we do. From the start, Jim was prompt and extremely informative. We liked that he was the only vendor to actually go up on our roof for the initial estimate and texted us photos of the damage up there. We never felt concerned about Jim's credibility nor the work/estimate proposed to us, in large part because of those photos. Jim is incredibly knowledgeable about his craft. He was able to answer all our questions and came prepared with samples to choose from. Best of all, he stuck to the proposed timeline and finished right when he said he would. Everything Jim said to us was accurate, fair, and reasonable. Pricing was competitive with the market - neither too high nor too low. We also received the permit visit on the day of as promised by Jim, and that was incredibly smooth and fast. One less thing to worry about! I also liked that Jim provided us with paperwork to submit to the utility company for a rebate. To me, that was going above and beyond, and we are thankful for that. The work itself is beautiful. We replaced our roof because we had to, but we love the way it looks. Jim gave us so many options of material and color to choose from, so it wasn't difficult to find something that actually ended up enhancing the look of our home. Jim and his crew were also very CLEAN. I do not like cleaning up messes left by others (particularly given the amount of cleanup we had to do after the storm!), and there wasn't one scrap of garbage or debris left. It's probably the first time I was able to pull my car out of the garage after construction work was done without worrying about a screw or nail. I don't know how they kept everything so clean, but they did. Final note: As a woman, this was probably the first crew and contractor who treated me simply with respect as one of the two homeowners. Sad to say in this day and age how many times a contractor will still ask me "well, what does your husband think" if he's not at home, and it's terribly insulting. My husband and I are a team and discuss everything ahead of time; and then take turns depending on our jobs/workload as to who is the contact point for crews/work etc. Jim, I really do appreciate that you treated me as a client, homeowner, and equal. For these reasons and more, I highly recommend Jim and his crew. Amazing!

Kurt and his team did my roof in Oct. 2021. I waited to post a review as it became clear that the…read morepoor quality of their workmanship would require them to return for many follow-up visits. But after learning how little the Roof Experts' warranty is worth, I decided I couldn't wait any longer to write this review. During the first rain after they installed my new roof, the flashing around our chimney began to leak. This was frustrating because we decided to go with the Roof Experts despite their estimate being higher because the flashing was included. It took almost two months for Kurt to send a team to do the necessary repairs, but he sent two guys who hadn't worked on the original job and were unfamiliar with the house. Unsurprisingly, the leak recurred in March 2022 and Jan 2023. Then after the epic rains in February, the leak came back, this time so bad it cracked open a ceiling and damaged the house's original, 90-year old floors. When I emailed Kurt, he had the gall to claim the chimney was "properly flashed" and did not send a team to check and honor the Roof Experts' "10-year warranty". An insurance inspector and an independent contractor came to our house and confirmed that it was the flashing that was leaking, as suspected. We had to replace the entire flashing, tearing up surrounding shingles to do the new job. It turned out to be a good thing Kurt didn't send his own team because now the leak is finally fixed after having professionals do the job. When offered the opportunity to refund us for the cost of the flashing replacement, Kurt sent one follow up email asking for additional information, then ceased to respond. And that's just one reason I have to recommend you not use the Roof "Experts". The workers left trash from their lunch in our yard, damaged several plants that are still recovering 20 months later and left roofing debris I'm still finding to this day. I was promised that my gutters would be re-installed properly, but they left pieces of it lying on the floor when they left and installed other parts so poorly that the resulting spills are warping window sills on my house. So do yourself a favor and save yourself numerous headaches and find someone else to do your roof.
