We were quoted for a new roof on our home in April 2025 and work began soon after. The workers had total disregard for our property. They stomped across our front garden, left their empty cans in our children's sandbox, and left nails just all over. They also smashed and snapped a huge limb off of our lilac bush (I watched them do this carelessly). They left extra pieces of roofing on the roof that blew off into the yard as well as a significant amount of nails on top of the roof of our porch. I understand the work can be messy, but this seemed outrageous. I was picking nails off our driveway for months afterward. The real issues started this winter. We live in Colden, NY and are used to harsh winters with an old roof. However, you'd think after almost $30k for a brand new roof you wouldn't have to worry about leaking/ insane ice issues on it. We have had leaking in the past that we were told would be remedied with the new roof. Instead, the leaking has been significantly worse this year causing more damage through our walls and ceilings. The first time they sent a repairman out to address the issue I was not asked if we were home or if they could come on the property. They called and told me (again, not asked) they'd be at our house in 20 minutes. While I appreciate the quick response, I am a SAHM with two littles and really did not feel comfortable receiving a call that someone would be coming into my home while I was home by myself. In addition to this, they gave the repairman the wrong address and he ended up stuck in my neighbor's driveway which was completely torn up when they pulled him out. The repairman did nothing but take photos of the house and shrug. He told me he couldn't do anything because the amount of ice on the roof would further damage it. The second time this happened, he took a ladder up to look at the issue and told us it was because of the siding. Our siding is old, however we are not convinced the siding is the issue. He found more pieces of roof that'd blown off in our yard and told us he was going to leave to reshape them and come back later that day to reattach them. He never came back, and we never heard from anyone again.

They also gave a discount to my husband for being a veteran. We were very pleased with them. They told us about when we would be on their schedule and then called us a week ahead of time to let us know they would be coming the following week. We did ask them to hold off for a day and we were fine with it. They gave us a full set of instructions on how to protect all our belongings from any damage that might happen while the roof was being replaced. The roofers came and did the work and cleaned up after themselves. After the job was completed the president of the company came out and evaluated the job and let us know of any little problems he noticed and told us a crew would be out to address them. It would be some of the smallest things like the roof looked slightly indented in one spot. We were really pleased with this professionalism and felt Stockmohr really had our best interest in mind. It's been a number of months now and our roof seems to be perfect!

Cary (the owner) came in with the first of several estimates. Of the contractors I contacted, he best understood what I wanted. My house had rotting window frames, uneven bad-looking shake shingle siding that was long past the day I should have done something about it. A house down the street had the look I wanted, and Cary quoted me the price. I also asked about replacing my front and side doors. The siding color I wanted was a special order, so I had to wait a couple weeks for it to be made. It was well worth the wait. Lifetime supplied a brand called "Perfection" and it is truly perfect siding. The siding sections lock together in a way that I don't think even a hurricane would loosen them. All the rotted wood was replaced with Azek trim. The result is my 70-year-old run-down house now looks like a new build. The doors that leaked cold air during the winter are gone. I am very satisfied.

About 4 weeks ago I requested a new roof on my home and garage. The roofers came within a good timeframe and cleaned up well but there were issues. I called the company back and sent a couple of pictures. It took a few days but soon two professionals from Buffalo's Best showed and took the time to really listen and address my concerns. We all thought taking care of the issues would only take a couple of hours, but it turns out we were all wrong. They found additional problems that were caused by the previous homeowner, thus for no extra charge (shocking!) the kind, hardworking men fixed it by working a 10-12 hour day. They were there for issues I had been having when it rained, and on this particular morning, I hadn't seen it was raining - but I heard! I thought someone was breaking in, but it was the damn roof again!! Raining in my living room - not good! I was crying as much as it was dripping! I was getting more and more frustrated, had many people coming to help and give me prices, but as the old saying goes: "Action speaks louder than words", and they just never really followed through or showed up. I was desperate. It just so happened, by some random stroke of luck, I had scheduled an appointment that very morning with Joe White, salesman for Buffalo's Best. I was simply curious about them. Joe came in to see exactly what and where my issue was and knew it needed to be fixed sooner than later. Everyone told me to get more estimates on the job, but I felt Joe's price was fair for what I needed and the reviews I read were encouraging. So when we decided to expand our kitchen we hired them to do the work, knowing that we would get a superior job. The quality of their workmanship is really outstanding from the foundation all the way to the finish carpentry! They explained the entire process clearly at the beginning of the job and presented a clear, professional, contract before starting. The crew showed up on time and cleaned up every day before they left. They dug the foundation for the extension, built the foundation wall, built the walls and roof and installed new windows. Inside they did the drywall, laid a new floor and installed the cabinetry. The finished product exceeded our expectations!
