Andy and his team installed a new roof on my stucco house with two new additions and a covered porch. The roof lines were very complicated (lots of vaulted ceilings). Special roofing material was needed to connect the original roof lines with one of the new additions. Andy's roofing crew couldn't have been nicer or more professional. I had my roof replaced on my house and garage. The crew did a excellent job. They were very considerate and professional in every way. There was a Forman on site all day long , and he monitored every aspect of the job with lots of pictures. The crew worked like a " well oiled machine". The cleanup was excellent too. Expert construction is by far the best company. Andy represented his company very very well by the time he finished his presentation we were like where do w. Se sign. Then the crew where the best ,hard workers from dawn to dusk. Very professional,polite, friendly, they made sure all our needs we're met, made sure we were satisfied and we definitely were satisfied. They turned our 1923 home into a brand new 2017 home. We had this old cracking stone which caused water damage inside our home old two tone siding. Unfortunately my experience with Expert Contracting was not good. Andy himself may have named his business as such and may himself be expert but he did not show up to do any of the work. The crew of 7, sometimes 8 workers that did show up diligently 7:30am are NOT expert nor craftsmen! The workmanship is horrible and about as far from expert as any quality minded person can imagine. I am a recently retired aerospace engineer who also has much experience in the building trades and consider myself a craftsman as do others of me. Now in my 60's and much more aware of how I spend time I am no longer compelled to do this sort of work but can now afford to pay for it. Andy was priced fairly for my pocketbook, he took no money up front and told me " I was lucky to have him quote the job. I thought his remark was somewhat brash but hey, maybe some folks are just that good and have that kind of personality. I had interviewed 5 contractors, all talking a good game, however all but Andy required some sort of down payment to start. He stated that payment would be due once I was satisfied. How can you argue with that! Feeling the quote reasonable, he lead me to believe during our initial meeting that his crew' had been with him over 15 years. Being familiar with the trades as I am and somewhat still aware of the transitory nature of contracting business getting help that statement holds a lot of weight with me. Contracting in America does not require licensing, formal training nor certification like other countries of the world so experience rules. But craftsmanship is a different animal altogether and not many really are in my experience, more power to them if the quality of work allows their business to flourish. Regardless, In fact only one member of his crew had been with him over 15 years and in fairness proved a capable guy. The crew that showed up for a tear off, then re-side, aluminum trim and new gutters were unable to communicate effectively and as I came to understand are being subcontracted by Andy for the last 3 or 4 years. After the first two days of old siding tear-off (the house is @ 3000 sq ft) I called Andy to come down to discuss the job forward. He did so w/o hesitation and bottom line said of the crew "that's what's out there". Thank god I was home for the 3 weeks the crew was here to oversee the work with MANY 'STOP Don't Do That' and MANY RE-DOs after the fact as directed by me during the process as I couldn't nor could the foreman look over everyone's shoulder all the time. From the very get go I had to stay involved and on my toes even directing the workers to reverse the saw blade on the compound miter saw so as not to chip the vinyl siding as it was cut to size, J-Channel was installed bowed, wavy or crooked, the vented soffit panels which I specified were installed both inside and on top of the fascia boards when they should have been installed inside consistently. Aluminum cladding was improperly and inconsistently trimmed on my many windows and doors. Cladding under the door sills was missing, outside lighting fixtures were loose on re-installation, flood light mounting means were not reestablished, ladders placed on the roof were dragged damaging the asphalt shingles, scaffolding jacks screwed to the roof were not caulked after removal, new gutters were pitched in the wrong direction away from the downspouts, gutter joints that should have been caulked with proper assembly leaked severely... thank god it rained before I paid $45K dollars for this job! ...and the repairs continue as I find them... read more

Expert contracting is by far the best there is around. This is the third time we have contracted Andy and his crew to do work for us. Several years ago, we had them put a tear off roof on one house, and siding and a tear off roof on another house. They finished both houses in a little over a week total. The workmanship was wonderful, and the professionalism and courtesy of his employees was exceptional. When we decided to put a vinyl deck and awning on the back of our house, we knew exactly who we wanted for the job. Andy's crew, (Andy and Joe) were there every day between 8:00 and 8:30 am, and worked till dusk every day. They left the work area spotless every day before they left.
