If you're thinking of getting a new roof -- go with someone else!! This place has caused my home…read moreand family more trouble than our ancient garbage roof ever did. We were quoted for a new roof on our home in April 2025 and work began soon after. The workers had total disregard for our property. They stomped across our front garden, left their empty cans in our children's sandbox, and left nails just all over. They also smashed and snapped a huge limb off of our lilac bush (I watched them do this carelessly). They left extra pieces of roofing on the roof that blew off into the yard as well as a significant amount of nails on top of the roof of our porch. I understand the work can be messy, but this seemed outrageous. I was picking nails off our driveway for months afterward. The real issues started this winter. We live in Colden, NY and are used to harsh winters with an old roof. However, you'd think after almost $30k for a brand new roof you wouldn't have to worry about leaking/ insane ice issues on it. We have had leaking in the past that we were told would be remedied with the new roof. Instead, the leaking has been significantly worse this year causing more damage through our walls and ceilings. The first time they sent a repairman out to address the issue I was not asked if we were home or if they could come on the property. They called and told me (again, not asked) they'd be at our house in 20 minutes. While I appreciate the quick response, I am a SAHM with two littles and really did not feel comfortable receiving a call that someone would be coming into my home while I was home by myself. In addition to this, they gave the repairman the wrong address and he ended up stuck in my neighbor's driveway which was completely torn up when they pulled him out. The repairman did nothing but take photos of the house and shrug. He told me he couldn't do anything because the amount of ice on the roof would further damage it. The second time this happened, he took a ladder up to look at the issue and told us it was because of the siding. Our siding is old, however we are not convinced the siding is the issue. He found more pieces of roof that'd blown off in our yard and told us he was going to leave to reshape them and come back later that day to reattach them. He never came back, and we never heard from anyone again.

Buffalo's Best Roofing review by Mary Corio…read more On Monday, October 20th, 2025 - I was abruptly awoken to the pinging of water drops bouncing off the pots and pans in my living room. They were there for issues I had been having when it rained, and on this particular morning, I hadn't seen it was raining - but I heard! I thought someone was breaking in, but it was the damn roof again!! Raining in my living room - not good! I was crying as much as it was dripping! I was getting more and more frustrated, had many people coming to help and give me prices, but as the old saying goes: "Action speaks louder than words", and they just never really followed through or showed up. I was desperate. It just so happened, by some random stroke of luck, I had scheduled an appointment that very morning with Joe White, salesman for Buffalo's Best. I was simply curious about them. Joe came in to see exactly what and where my issue was and knew it needed to be fixed sooner than later. Everyone told me to get more estimates on the job, but I felt Joe's price was fair for what I needed and the reviews I read were encouraging. Joe gave me hope and I trusted him, and so I said "Let's please just Git-R-Done" .... On Monday, October 27th, an amazing 'team' showed up, under the supervision of Domenic D'Angelo, and worked diligently from 8 AM to 5:30 PM. I needed a complete roof tear off and reinstallation. I was certain there was no way it could be done so quickly, but it was almost like magic! By dinner time, I had a beautiful new roof, everything was cleaned up and put back nicely, and to anyone who wasn't around on my street that day - they would never have known so much activity had taken place here. I was and still am in awe! The peace of mind alone is priceless. I cannot put a price tag on the feeling of security, after decades upon decades, that my roof is intact and leaks are a thing of the past, at least for the duration of my lifetime. I have a warranty transferable when I sell my house, and the assurance that if there are any problems whatsoever, Buffalo's Best Roofing will come to my aid and assistance immediately. It's not like doing business with a business, it's like making a new friend who I can trust and build a lasting relationship with. It all started with a new roof! I'm so appreciative to Buffalo's Best Roofing that I'm definitely going to get prices for new windows and doors come spring. Why not? Any company that treats their customers with such dignity and respect - from the office staff to the field laborers - has my repeated business. I will encourage all of my friends who need work done to call 'my friends' at Buffalo's Best! They have earned their title and I am forever thankful that I found them!!! Don't nickel and dime with band aid remedies - bite the bullet like I did and put a new brain on your home.... You deserve it and so does your house! Buffalo's Best - I am forever grateful to have found you! To all the staff who came to my aid and did a fast and expert job on my home - best wishes for a Happy Holiday Season 2025 and continued success and blessings in 2026. Sincerely yours, Mary Corio Town of Niagara, New York

Braendel Painting & Services, Inc. quoted me $3,500 to paint my kitchen. I signed a contract with…read moreBraendel on June 5, 2021, and they began the work shortly thereafter. However, the project was not completed until nine months later. I had expected the job to be finished within a few days. Throughout the project, I repeatedly contacted Braendel to address areas that had been left unpainted and sections where the paint had peeled from the cabinets. Braendel painted over cabinets that were more than 50 years old without sanding or priming them beforehand. I can personally attest to this because I was present throughout the entire project and observed the work being performed. As a result, the paint began peeling. I called several times requesting that the cabinets be repainted. Although Braendel later used a more expensive paint, the peeling problem continued. At no point did the owner or project manager contact me to ask whether I was satisfied with the work. Instead, a different painter was sent each time I reported problems. During one visit, I overheard a phone conversation between the company and the painter they had sent. Someone from the Company asked, "Is she for real?" The painter replied, "Yes. I am now painting the ceiling that was not completed." Even after these issues were addressed, the project manager never contacted me to discuss the quality of the work or my satisfaction with the project. Eventually, the last painter assigned to my job, Eric Godlewski, took the cabinet doors home and repainted them. I was pleased with the quality of his work. Before he left, I asked whether he knew anyone who installed replacement windows. Mr. Godlewski offered to do the work himself. Based on my positive experience with his cabinet work, I agreed. Mr. Godlewski measured the windows, purchased them, and stacked them on my back porch. On March 31, 2022, I gave him $4,300, and he provided me with a receipt. After that, I never heard from him again. I was out $4,300. To make matters worse, the windows that were purchased were all the wrong size and did not fit any of my window openings. Because they could not be returned, I donated them to Habitat for Humanity. I chose to work with Braendel because the company had a good reputation. Since then, I have learned that Mr. Godlewski has an extensive criminal record. In my opinion, Braendel should have exercised greater care in selecting and supervising individuals representing the company. I contacted Dan Bishop, the project manager for Braendel, several times regarding these issues. He returned only one call and informed me that Braendel was not responsible. He never responded to any of my subsequent calls. Would I do business with Braendel again? Absolutely not. Shelley Ruh
