Heather totally blew me off with the appointment it was set up two weeks ago and texted me a few hours before the appointment saying they're out through July of 24 and their minimum bathroom is $28,000minimum contract order never asked any details of bathroom size or anything else. I want to give credit where credit is due. My husband and I had a really great experience working with Kaz, or more specifically our contractor Kenny. Despite the fact that my ancient bathroom was probably a contractor's worst nightmare, Kenny faced it head on and reassured us throughout the entire process that we would come out the other side much better off. He was right. Our new bathroom looks beautiful. You can see the care that everyone involved put into the project. We love it and every friend and family member we have showed the pictures to has loved it as well. I would work with Kenny and Kaz again anytime (and we probably will, our home is in dire need of some TLC). I called Kaz for a estimate (free) and they promptly scheduled a time for the representative to come and evaluate the damage. The price was very reasonable and they did the work in a timely manner. Better term, FANTASTIC!. I write about this company constantly. Whenever I use them. Their work/product is exceptional. They are not cheap - remember, you get what you pay for. This review pertains to the door that I had installed in February of this year. My beautiful, mid century door finished in a lovely red color. I loved this door so much that I ordered an identical twin, except in Bahama Blue, to be installed as my back door. My house has been rather peckish in the last few years. It shifts. Locks won't close. I'm not overly concerned however with highly optimistic plans of going away for a bit, I would like a door that locks tight. I called KAZ because my front door was becoming a bit of a hassle to lock. Kaz came, assessed the problem and fixed it. New dead bolt. Newly ground out hole for the dead bolt to go into - I know, technical term. Anyhow, no charge. This was not their problem. I told them about the "shifting" problem when I called. Customer satisfaction is their number one priority. Hopefully I have no new home projects other than the new back door. If I do, KAZ is on speed dial. read more

Six of my interior doors either didn't close properly or there were issues with the knobs. I requested a quote online. Someone called me within 24 hours to let me know someone else would call back to schedule an onsite estimate. I received that call shortly after and the estimate was on. The handy man showed up right on time and gave me a very reasonable quote. I scheduled him on the spot. He arrived for the appointment the following week on time, worked fast and got the job done exactly how I asked. He even thoroughly cleaned up after himself. Very satisfied. Minor complaints - One of the doors can be pushed open even when its locked. I'm going to fix this myself by drilling a deeper hole into the door frame. We had 9 windows installed in our 100+ year old house and are not satisfied with the sloppy job. We were not aware that the job was contracted out to a different company. It was overwhelming to have so many men working in our house at the same time. The job was scheduled for 2 days but was "completed" in less that 4 hours. We had not taken down curtains and blinds (so they proceeded to work on windows with curtains in place) in all of our rooms thinking that they could just start in different rooms. One window does not seem to fit well at all so we can't even rehang the blinds in a bedroom. There are many lost brass screws from the window trim and some gouges. I am not happy with the windows themselves either. We called Kaz and were told since the windows are under warranty, they are sending out a repairman to look at the job but they will not be here for another week (almost 2 weeks after the instillation). I had hoped they would look at $18,000 worth of windows sooner (we still owe them money at least). We have a contract with them for siding and storm doors, so I hope that goes better. read more

We had Tom from the KAZ Companies install some safety bars and railings recently and he did a wonderful job. He matched all the wood perfectly and painted and stained all the new railings. He cleaned up after himself and was a joy to work with. We've had KAZ for many projects over the years and they never disappoint. read more

My wife hired Kaz to remodel our second floor bathroom. It was a big job. We used to have an apartment there, and wanted to add a laundry room and turn the old kitchen into the new master bath. add a closet and removing another one. We paid a lot for sub par work that was not complete. The carpenter did not know how to make the pocket doors flush with the jam when they were opened. The drywall work done over old plaster was so bad that after inspection and redone I can still easily see the seams. In the shower the tile was cut and the cut edges are exposed. Where walls that were moved, the sub floor was left exposed. The project manager lied to my wife saying that he never comes to a job site. He finally did to inspect the poor work done to make excuses. read more

We hired Kaz Bros. to replace our old 1959 garage door with a new door and opener. The old opener was a working but noisy as hell Genie from the mid 70's. The result is wonderful. Insulated garage door goes up and down almost silently with belt drive faster than before. Keeps attached garage noticeably warmer in winter and looks way better. The price was right too for such a good door and service. The door still fits and works great after two years and keeping several feet of Snowvember out of the garage. Looking back we got a new garage door just in time! I feel comfortable recommending Kaz Bros. which is something I don't often do. read more

Had a shower re-tiled by them a few years back and I couldn't believe how incompetent their employee was. He had refused to remove rotted wood in the wall until I complained, he left a 1" gap in the wall board before tiling and never applied a sealant or membrane as is the currently accepted method, he installed cracked tile, he never waterproofed the grout so that even today, it still runs grey whenever you wash it. And worst of all, after leaving for the day, he left bottles and cans of toxic chemicals out and open where my infant daughter could get into them. In addition, as this took place in the winter, when the snow thawed in spring I discovered he had dumped the old pipes and all of his mortar and grout waste out back on our patio which is now permanently stained. Lastly, after he had finished, he realized he had left a pair of shoes and a radio at our house which KAZ demanded that we return all the way out at their offices off Transit. Would NEVER use them again or recommend them to anyone. read more
