5 stars all day. On 10/04/22 my garage door suddenly stopped working and I called Precision for service. First of all, a REAL person answered the phone and scheduled me for the next day. In todays day in age it's nice to know local businesses still care enough to take phone calls from customers and are willing to get the job done punctually. So the next day the technician made it to my house, diagnosed the issue, and offered several options to remedy the situation. All solved, that day. No mumbo jumbo contractor talk of "this many weeks away, thousands of $$$ later, or pushing my issue off to another time". An uncommon experience in todays world if you ask me. I would recommend Precision Overhead to anyone looking for a quality experience. To the tech who came out, Jason Hanley. My garage door had run off the tracks. I called Precision and they had someone out almost immediately, gave me my options and we decided to keep the door but change out the springs, pulleys and automatic opener. Nick did a great job. He was fast, clean and made sure the door would still work, checked that everything was in place and working. Could I have gotten these done cheaper? Maybe. But this company provided great customer service and the tech was efficient, honest and helpful. I know if I have any issues they will be right here - however I am also confident I made the right choices and will not have to worry about my garage door anymore. read more

It was lowered to 149.00 after I complained and he was talking to a supervisor over his ear phone device who was listening to us the entire time we were talking without my knowledge. . (creepy) Rep went deep into everything wrong with my system and tried to push me to make changes to the assembly springs and such. Phone scheduler did not listen to what we were trying to tell her the problem was with our garage door. It's not a new door. The service person came here and quoted us hundreds of dollars for the repair. We are senior citizens on a fixed income who just paid $85 for nothing. Would not recommend. read more

They were very nice and fast. That being said, they did leave some screws, nuts and the light cover from my old opener on my garage floor after installing my new opener. I saw the cover, but not the nails (it was night) didn't see them and got a flat tire in my garage. However, I would still be likely to use them again. read more

Phone scheduler was fine and accommodating. Tech called and arrived promptly, on day one. This original door opener was installed in early July 2019...but now 2yrs later opener was not working and door could not be opened manually. Had to argue with tech because he said the door opener motor was NOT covered because I " operated the door opener when door was broken". I tried to open the door 3X. .... He practically accused me of lying... very insulting. Already paid 700 for installation of new opener in 2019... now trying to get me to pay for motor which was clearly stated in owners manual that it had a LIFETIME guarantee. Tech Said I abused the door so therefore not covered. He never said that to my face, but told the phone receptionist that as verified when I called to speak with manager... manager never called back but tech said manager said would cover the door motorhead At no Cost- finally. We offered tech water out of fridge in garage on day one, however, on day two ( did not have the WiFi door opener motor on his truck had to come back on day 2) helped himself to water out of my fridge. Also, on day 2 he was supposed to arrive between 12- 2 pm .. I was told he would call when he was on his way... he never called to say he was on his way... arrived around 11:20 ish opened my garage door manually as opener was not attached and entered and then knocked on my door to the house from garage and asked if he could start early. I agreed but was not happy he entered garage without a call. I paid to replace the garage door bolts rollers and door Spring $799. and 3 hinges for $25 each... as they were broken. Total with tax came to $950.48. After paying $700 two years ago for opener, I was not happy. Did not like him coming into my garage without permission or NOT getting a call about his day arrival, let alone early arrival, on day two. I agreed to price of bolt replacements and Spring , but now thinking about it .. probably a rip off. Oh... and when he came back to house and pulled into driveway... the screen on Ring camera was blacked out. Everything before he arrived recorded and after he left recorded but the recording of his arrival early was a blacked out on RING screen.... Very suspicious... Could it be a WIFI jammer? ( totally illegal)... or a glitch?... don't know. Bad vibe for tech. I would not recommend. read more

I called to get an estimate on them installing a garage door opener and possibly a new garage door. I currently don't have an opener. The person that took my call said there was a $79 fee for them to come out and if I didn't have the work done they would charge me the $79. I asked her again just to be clear " I don't have an opener and I'm calling to get an estimate on you installing one. The good: they answered the phone and took my information professionally. The tech was in contact me about arrival time for the appointment and showed up on time. The bad: within one minute I was quoted $550 to replace springs, etc. and $500 to replace garage door opener as both were probably broken. I paid $69 to receive an estimate and virtually no labor. He did lube my garage door tracks but that's it. I called another garage door company and it was determined that somehow my garage door opener had been accidentally disengaged. The tech engaged it and door and opener have been working just fine and i was not charged for the service call. I now wonder if the techs at precision work on commission. Won't be calling them again and do not recommend them. read more

We saw a commercial for this company for sale by Wedesday for full door for $999 or full door with Windows insulated $1495. I called early on Monday for appointment and was offered several for Tuesday. We took the 3 to 5pm slot. At 3:30pm Tuesday, Mark their estimate person calls with the line oh I'm running several hours behind. Can I come later. I already had an appointment at 6pm. I called the main number to rescudule for Wednesday morning. They could not accommodate me for a 9-11am appointment. I'm so tired of bate and switch promises not keeped from contractors. These companies want to know why they get a bad name. This is why. I wouldn't recommend them if they are not reliable for an estimate what are they going to be like once you do business. Further more they called back to rescudule so we took a chance. Their employee Mark came out with a unprofessional conduct. He gave us the price and of coarse not their advertise special. Our door was to big. That was ok however the color choices did not meet our needs. I said to him no thank you and under his breath his says "Thanks for Wasting my time". Really the three hours he wasted yesterday didn't seem to matter and than he tried to say it wasn't him and yet when he called yesterday he stated his name was Mark. I called their head office and spoke with Bob the Manager his words. That not like Mark omg cause I want to waste my time calling about a rude employee. I had them come out to fix a broken spring back in April. Sean came out and did a great overview of the garage door system. It is only about 4 years old so I told him just to repair the spring on one side. He said he should both, but I said only the 1 side. He was fine with that. Well last night the other spring broke. Again, I called the company that installed the door, 1-2 weeks!! Called Precision at about 7:30 PM, and scheduled a service tech today. Well Sean came back with a smile and replaced the other spring. Same great service. They are now our go-to for garage doors. I would recommend them. read more

I had never heard of this company - found by accident while googling "Gutter Repair/Replacements". I had an issue with the lack of a downspout and some shifting with the gutter on the rear of my house. After receiving a "no can do" response from my favorite go to company, I gave them a call. Estimators were out and at my house within two hours. There is a minimum amount of gutter necessary for them to do a job and they did inform me of this. 80 feet. I made the cut. The price given to me was reasonable for the amount of work to be done. Deposit handed over, deal sealed and I was told approximately two weeks. Not two weeks have past and an install crew arrived at my home this afternoon. The job was done efficiently and neatly and per my request they avoided trampling certain garden greenery. I'm happy! The owner/manager was prompt to get back to me with an emailed invoice/job description the same day as the initial contact. Everything went as planned which seldom happens, in my opinion, when dealing with a new contractor. read more

I had a good experience with Precision. Everyone I talked to was helpful and polite. Either the company has contracted great customer service teachers or those in charge of interviewing prospective employees are experts in detecting great staff, it's probably both. I was promptly scheduled for repair by a polite professional. Got me an appointment in one day. Rob was the tech that arrived to do the repair, he was very knowledgeable (an encyclopedia for Garage doors, he seriously knows his stuff). He took his time to explain everything. My hubby broke the door with a ladder. We called Friday night Memorial Day weekend they were out the next morning. We ended up needing a new door, reasonable. Ryan came out and he was so meticulous, really just incredible. He realized our opener was tilting so he reset it and secured it with wood. We needed a new garage door badly and finally it gave out so we needed one quickly. We had the old wood type. We called Precision Door for an estimate and one other company which never called us back so they lost a sale. Precision Door came out that same week. Ron the owner met with my husband and gave us a great price on a new door. The installer Dave came within a few days and installed new rails a new insulated aluminum door , keypad, switch, door opener motor with light and 2 openers for our cars. He did a beautiful job and the new door makes our house look so much nicer and you can barely hear it when it opens and closes . It was very affordable and we couldn't be happier with the customer service we received and the product. I was not told I needed to present at the time I made the appointment. I returned the call from the repair person and he said he would be back in an hour and that I needed to be there . I left work and was home for 7 hours without a return call after repeated calls to the repair person . Not recommended. read more

Went very smooth - came out - picked out door, easy install. Professional.

Although the service technician can complete the repair, it appears that inferior parts are used - which are prone to breakage. In 12/2012 I had service done (spring replacement) by Precision and at that time it was recommended that the cables be replaced on my 22 year old garage door. The replacement cables were $99 for the set of 2 "aircraft grade" cables. Today, one of the cables broke at the point of attachment at the door - frayed and rusted through the loop attachment point, only 3 years past the repair. This break also bent the door track since the garage door was unbalanced and crooked during its lowering. This breakage simply should not have happen. Additionally - after their repair in 2012, the door was not balanced correctly (one side was slightly higher than the other). I called Precision to have this corrected but they declined claiming that a new door was needed instead. I ended up correcting the imbalance myself. I do not recommend Precision Door due to their use of poor quality material, lack of customer service, and they do not stand behind their work. I feel they acquire cheap materials and then charge full price for it. Although they offer a lifetime warranty, the warranty requires the consumer to still pay a service or labor charge for any warranty work. Disappointing! Stay away from this outfit. read more
