Wifey loves a Pork Tenderloin sam when she can find it, and theirs was a pretty big patty. I grabbed one of their signature burgers, to go along with a silly order of Clam Strips on impulse, and the clams were as you'd imagine this far inland, haha. We are new to the area and tried Ron's on a whim recently. I was simply blown away by the "bucket of fries". We ordered it because it was more affordable than buying each of our kiddos their own fries - needless to say between our family of 6 we still had leftovers the following day or so! I can't eat much here due to allergies, but my family enjoyed their burgers and corn dogs and I tasted a couple fries and they were very tasty. It's been a long time since I last went to Ron's. I used to go there all the time, but after this recent visit, it might be a long time--if ever--before I go back. I ordered my usual: a 1/2 pounder with cheese and a side of french fries. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. The burger patties were overcooked and dry, and the cheese was a melted mess--nothing like the usual quality. The fries were lukewarm and tasted like they had been sitting under a heat lamp for far too long. To make matters worse, the floor was sticky in multiple areas, which gave the place a generally unclean feel. I ended up throwing the burger away after just a couple of bites and only ate about half the fries. The quality of the food has deteriorated terribly. I won't be going back. read more

Every neighborhood has an independent operator cranking out burgers, fries, etc. It's close to the house and the food is familiar, the staff friendly and the service prompt. The past three time have been here may have been my last for awhile. Had a question about the menu at the drive thru. I have a menu question, reply: WHAT? Female staff. Order some seafood combo owners favorite. The listing says come with tartar and cocktail sauce. Super tall male with super curly hair hands the bat with our order out the window with a "here!". We drove off and made the mistake of checking on the sauce after leaving the D/T. No sauce. Pulled around to the doors, went in, informed the same male that there was no sauce. He looked at me like...and? I said and we would like the sauce tarter, cocktail, and ranch like we ordered. He went toward the D/T window and returned with six tubs of sauce stacked between his right thumb and index finger impressive pet trick. He tried them hand them to me that way. I asked for.a bag.lit was just stupid. No sorry, no acknowledgement. Zero f*** given. We decided to eat in the parking lot. We were there 10 minutes ago saw two other cars come out of the D/T , check their bags and saw the driver pull around to the doors, get out, and come out with.l sauces. I am not sure if this place sold, the next generation took overs, or COVID messed the stuff up but zero attention, care, courtesy from Ron's now. Was never that way except the past few months. Judging by the weeds in the parking stalls right against the building pretty clear no one cares enough to pull a giant 24" weed that has been growing for weeks if not months . Quality food, quality service at a quality price. The biggest issue was the bathroom was disgustingly dirty. I don't think it has ever been cleaned properly. I don't know who taught the people to clean that bathroom because it was super gross. Sandpaper, vinegar, and window cleaner should make it sparkle. I recommend 100 grit to remove the scum from the toilet, sink, and floor. Powered Laundry soap should also be used. Bathrooms need to be one inch clean. This bathroom was a 20 footer clean job. I could be 20 feet away, and it would still be filthy. It was that bad. read more

I stopped in at Ron's just by chance after driving all day in Montana and Idaho. The classic, 50s era, vintage sign is what caught my attention not to mention the restaurant building. So, being an out of towner from the Chicago (IL) area, I thought I'd give it a shot for dinner. I decided to try their fish chips along with their clam strips. The fish chips, made from Pacific caught cod, were amongst the best I've ever had. Really tasty with not a hint of a fishy taste. The fries were good. Nothing special, but still very acceptable for the meal. The fried clams were ok. I'm not saying they're bad but in comparison to fried clams from the New England east coast, which I've had quite a bit, these don't quite measure up to my taste buds. I was up visiting some friends in Spokane and they hyped up Ron's Drive-In to me the entire time. Spokane gets the fresh Idaho potatoes since it's so close to the border, and apparently all the fries are exceptionally good everywhere you go. So we pull up to Ron's, get our food, and park to eat it. The service was fairly quick and we got all of our food out at a nice speed. I decided to get an order of fries, a cheese burger, and some chicken strips with barbeque sauce. The fries were definitely a highlight. They were perfectly cooked, had great flavor, and were just a solid fry overall. My chicken strips were super juicy, had great flavor, and were definitely even better with that delicious barbeque sauce they give you. My burger was solid too, but after trying a bite of my friends Big R, I wish I had gotten that instead. The sauce they put on the Big R was terrific. If you remember having Dairy Queen years ago when they would do the 5 Buck Lunch, it tasted exactly like Dairy Queen when it was in it's prime. So I would definitely recommend coming back here. Now remember, it's a fast food place. I give it 5 stars because it has very tasty and well cooked food, they're quick, it's affordable, and it's a single location as apposed to a big chain fast food. I stopped into Ron's today craving a 9 piece prawns and fries dinner. I most always have this for a special treat to myself. In past orders I have received the prawns over done. When I placed my order today I asked the person taking my order if she would ask the cook to not overcook the prawns because it has been an issue in the past. I was promptly confronted with an unpleasant, "of course." I was the only patron in the restraint at the time. Leaving my order as the only order being prepared. After a short wait I received a cold attitude, "your orders ready." After approaching the counter I was surprised to see 9 very well done prawns over what I would consider a small order of fries. I stood there looking at the meal contemplating how to complain. The person walked up and said, "Is there a problem?" I asked, "did you ask the cook not to overcook the prawns for me?" She glared at me and said, "Yes, I asked!" I looked at the very dark blown overcooked prawns and started to get angry because of the way I was being treated and the condition of my meal. I left the prawns and fries on the counter. I felt my anger building so I chose to promptly leave the Drive-in before subjecting myself to any further negative customer service and disrespectful attitude. I drove to Taco Bell and had dinner. I had a very interesting experience at Rons. First, I chose to eat here because I wanted something quick but not a chain. When I walked in, the restaurant was dirty and outdated and it seemed like every customer was retired, however the service was fairly good. Things went downhill when I received my food however. The milkshake was so bad it was an embarrassment to cows. The chicken tenders were almost $12 for six tenders and fries. Extremely overpriced and the tenders had virtually no redeeming qualities. The fish sandwich was dry and plain. The fries were average I would say. And the Big R burger was actually pretty decent, although nothing too special. Went through the drive-through only person there he couldn't get my order right asked three times about my pop so when I got my package, I looked no fries hamburgers missing I paid $56. The fish sandwich, which claimed "Icelandic Cod," was tasty and definitely filling, plus a great price at under $3. The bun was also soft. My first experience with this place was actually pretty good. I had a shake and order of fries. All tasted good and fresh. I left happy. Oh what a difference a week makes. I went back yesterday, Sunday the 23rd at 1:00. There were no customers at the counter and only 1 table of 5 sitting in the restaurant. I walked in unsure of what I wanted this time. No one, not one of the 3 teeny boppers at the counter acknowledged me let alone look at me. They were huddled in a corner doing ?? Anyway, I finally walked to the register and the teen walked to the register as well. He never said anything, not hello, not can I help you . Nothing. I waited for him to acknowledge me in some way but he never did so I just ordered. A crispy chicken sandwich and fries. That was it. He told me the price and took my card. No thank you. Again nothing. I placed my order at 1:06. No other orders in the restaurant. I saw the person cooking put up a pack of fries immediately upon my ordering. I thought great my order will be up any minute. However I waited and waited and waited. At 1:21 the girl teen put the order in a bag and dropped it on the counter in front of me and said "here you go" and walked away. Unfortunately the fries I had seen go up at 1:06 were given to me at 1:21 and they were cold. I did not say anything and will not be back.
