Had my first order today. I got a small double dough pizza with extra sauce, light on the cheese, green peppers and white onions. OMG!!! The best pizza I've had in at least a decade. The dough was crispy on the outside, airy on the inside. The sauce had a perfect balance with a hint of sweetness. The toppings were fresh and and plentiful. I can't say more about it. It is my new go-to pizzaria. Oh... and their menu has so many different kinds of meals, sandwiches, appetizers etc. Guaranteed to satisfy anyones hunger. You need to try it! read more

What's for dinner tonight? Ronny's? No, we went to Jim's Market. I thought you wanted to try Ronny's? Yes, we did. We ordered and were very impressed by the calzone and look of the chicken. Feasting away, the kid stands up and spits up into the barrel? What's the matter? The chicken is wicked chewy. You know. Once in a while, you get a bad piece. Try another. Repeat. I have an idea. Let's call Jim's market. They never let you down. A 99? Yes. That sounds great. Let me call the restaurant and let them know that their fryer is under temp so that they don't make anybody else sick. Ring ring Hi, I'm calling to provide some feedback on a meal that we received. The chicken is undercooked. Well, I'm sorry, but you're gonna need to bring us the chicken back for us to look at. I'm simply calling for public service. You provide food to the public. Food that's undercooked and you want me to bring it back to you? You know what I will not waste my time. Let's go to Jim's market read more

Every time I'm in Boston we stop here! This is the absolute best pizza I've ever had. It's still the same as last time! It's the ingredients and the love of what they do. My wife ordered the meatballs that are to die for and we also ordered 2 Large cheese pies. I challenge everyone who reads this to stop at Ronny's Place and tell me what you think. I travel from coast to coast and after eating pizza since the last time I was here....this is still the absolute best in the United States . The service is amazing and the people are like family. This place is small and just on a corner but I promise it is the best corner you'll ever want to hang out on. read more

Great little pick-up place. Happened by in honor of National Hamburger Day. Meat Lover's Burger shouldn't be legal north of Tijuana, Mexico. Fantastic. Pastrami, bacon, ham, and pepperoni. No lettuce or tomato, forget that, but owner did suggest mayo with ketchup, good call. Friendly service, positive people. read more

Ronny's claims to make "world famous" wings, and I'm happy to say the wings do live up to the hype! Both the bone-in and boneless wings are insanely good no matter what sauce you choose! I can also confirm they make amazing paninis and calzones! One of the best takeout spots in Medford! read more

I picked up a chicken parm sub for my son to have after football last night. Teenagers can sometimes be short on words and have a lot of "I don't knows" as answers, but his reaction to the sub was definitive: "this is REALLY good." You could tell that thought and care went into making every element of the sub just right. We will be back for more! read more

Ronnies is a Haines Sq institution. You will quickly find out why they have continued to stay in business where lots of others in the area fail. Great food, and always enjoy shooting the breeze with Ronny when picking up my order. read more

Ordered food at 12:00 for a 2:00 delivery. It's now 2:43 and I still don't have it. I called and was told that delivery takes 45 minutes. I said that I ordered at noon. I was told "we got slammed." So apparently it takes more than 45 minutes if they get slammed. Why give the option to schedule a delivery time if you can't handle it? I am about to go into a meeting, so I can't eat the food when it arrives. In fact, I will have to leave the meeting to receive the order, AND I'll have to reheat it later instead of eating it fresh. Done with this place. read more

To the young lady who works there in the evenings: don't call me 'hunny'. You are not my mother, you are not my wife, and you do not work at Mel's Diner. Stay classy. The food: It's hit or miss depending on who is making the pizzas. read more

The pizza was great and even better the 2nd day. People were nice but we did take out

To follow up on my review and discuss the food, again below average quality and lack of flavor. I ordered a chicken cutlet sub with mozzarella cheese tomatoes basil and balsamic and the quality of all ingredients were poor and the flavor was bland. read more

This little hole in the wall is a great take out spot. There's a reason they are so busy. It's all good. Recommending the buffalo chic salad. Large, meaty portions. Always fresh salad. Hubby likes the super steak. Flavor sensation. Both fond of the meatballs & sausage sub. So many more good things to choose from. Brother in law just told us about this place 2 months ago. read more

A go to. My kids love it. The wing flavors are plentiful. We always get the broccoli bites and chips too.

Ronny's has been our beloved Friday night ritual for years, and they always deliver (pun intended). Pizza, subs, salads, wraps, chicken wings, it's all great and always reliable, and the staff are all absolutely delightful. My husband and I are so sad to be leaving the area this spring and losing our favorite delivery spot, but we're going to patronize the crap out of Ronny's until the very last day. read more

I want to be specific, Ronny's food is amazing. A+. 5 Stars. We had been ordering from them through GrubHub, and they have been down for a few days because their printer is broken. Okay, fine. We called, placed an order, it arrived, delicious as usual, and we moved on. Today my girlfriend called and were informed that we were out of their range for deliver. We are 1.6 miles away. I've walked there in warm weather. I called back and they finally relented that we weren't out of range, they were just really busy and it was going to be 1.5 hours for delivery. 1) Don't lie. Just tell me you're busy, let me decide. 2) Even if you're really busy, I don't believe the 1.5 hours. Grubhub tells me an hour fifteen all the time, you're often here in 20 minutes. 3) Be polite. The woman who spoke to me on the phone was rude, condescending, and when I questioned her obvious lie, she didn't even apologize. 4) If your printer is down, and you aren't taking orders from Grubhub, I hesitate to believe you're really busy either. This is pretty embarrassing and sad. I assume something else is up. Maybe the driver is mad because we didn't tip him enough ($3-4 for a 6 minute drive) and told them not to serve us well? I honestly don't know. If they have a problem and don't want our business, I'd rather be told that then have someone lie to me and be rude to me over the phone. Honestly, I'm disappointed. Their food is great, and we'd been ordering from them once or twice a week since we found them. I guess it's back to looking for a better option in town and giving my dollar to a business that wants it. If I have a day I can spare the time to walk down I'll probably do so, but this experience is both mysterious and off-putting. TL;DR - good food, dishonesty and discourtesy. Buyer beware. read more

i live in rhode and when I'm in the area I have to go to Ronnys. Their tuna sub is hands down the best I've had. i don't usually leave reviews, they're just too delicious! chicken parm is AMAZING too! read more

I placed an order for pickup and the person on the phone seemed confused, so I repeated what I wanted twice. I was charged 28 dollars. My son went to pick up the order and all they gave him was a small calzone. I had also ordered a chicken finger combo which is supposed to come with fries and onion rings and the bacon and cheese fries. I have placed a lot of orders at this place and I even have tried to ignore the lack of costumer service on the phone. This time is no different. I called back to let them know what happened at first the female who likes to cut you off when you are talking was a little hesitant but I guess she checked and came back to the phone asking that my son go back. I repeated what was missing and again in that dismissive tone she said it's all set. When my son got home all I got was like three tiny strips of chicken fries and another bag of fries. I have to go to work tonight because I am a First Responder and had to deal with this crap. They may or may not read these reviews, but I know that they are not the last Coca Cola in the desert. I will continue to tell every and anyone that this place sucks. This female that works there is Horrible and they will lose more costumers!!! read more

I dont usually write reviews but tbh im having a terrible day and all I wanted was a pizza to cure the blues. Looks like it wont be from ronnys nor will it be ever again. I would like to say that my Family and I have been ordering from ronny's for over 30 years. My mother worked for ronny a very long time ago. My father even went to school with the owner. I have the outmost respect for ronny. At least I did until recently, now i see him as nothing but a cold, egotistical greedy man who cares nothing about his customers and has no value for anyone aside from his money. Here is my experience; I had ordered a single large pizza a week ago. I ordered around 8:30pm and was told to arrive in 30 minutes to pick up my pizza. I had forgotten that they close at 9pm, not 10:00 like most restaurants in the area. When i arrived I saw they were closed (it was 9:08 when I checked my phone). Not a big problem. I had paid card over the phone and as a person who is known for bringing business there regularly, most would at least give a store credit. It was priced higher than most pizza places but i valued the business and like to support the local mom and pop places. I had been calling the store every couple of days when my family would normally order pizza, asking for the store credit. Every time i called I was given excuses. Nobody was willing to help. Not even a manager was able to help. I was told to call when ronny was in and nobody knew when that would be so "just keep trying". After 4 calls on different days ronny finally talked to me. I was respectful but then he gave me an attitude saying he knows "exactly who you are, youre the guy who shows up an hour late for your pizza" and he was absolutely unwilling to help. Then he hungup on my face. I now have to go through the long process of disputing with my bank who will take the money back from the business anyway. Mistakes happen and when you own a small business in a great community such as ours, you should be courteous to your customers. We have now been getting out pizza from another restaurant close by and its even better. It also nice not to call in and get rushed off the phone like I'm inconveniencing them for even ordering. Thats the type of service you find here, rushed in and out the door at outrageous prices, pizza with a strong scent of dirty dish water and not a single deal to be found. I hope the night crew enjoyed my family's pizza that we purchased for them. They must be hungry working for such a cheap guy. I've been a pizza cook myself and have the utmost respect for all in food service. One tip from my personal experience: customer service has a value higher than even the quality of food you serve. A meal is forgotten shortly after its eaten but How you treat your customers? That lasts forever. I hope to see them learn, make a change and thrive from it. read more

I have a couple of friends in town and we wanted to do wings and beers night - we were excited about all the sauces Ronny have on their menu. I ordered 2 XL platter and requested it plain and the sauces to be on the side. When we got the order - I understand why their are so many sauces - the wings were dry and not fall off the bones. I was looking for juicy & plump wings. I will not ordering anymore wings from Ronny's place read more

Every time I go to this restaurant I leave with a full belly of tasty food. The most frustrating thing about this place is trying to decide if you want stick with a favorite, or try any of their other items which are easily as good or better. Try the mozzarella sticks for sure! read more

I'm actually shaking mad as I'm writing this. First off, this isn't a review for food or the lovely ladies who were at the front desk. They were nice and respectful. This is for the rude guy who kept asking my ethnicity. "Are you Chinese? No, Vietnamese right? You must be Vietnamese. Oh, why are you shy? Tell me. Oh! You must be Korean!" F$&@ you douchebag. I don't have to tell you anything, that's my right. And when I look down, it's not an invitation for you to check out my face and tell me that I have a shy pretty face. Plus, if I tell you I don't want to answer, usually people in business would understand social skills enough to know not to press it. The ladies at the front called it: "Just tell him he's harassing you." read more

First the good: their buffalo chicken is pretty tasty, and their pizza is decent. The bad: the girls that answer the phone and work the register. Every experience I've had with them has actually been worst than that last, to the extent that I won't go there anymore. They treat you as if your calling to place an order is an imposition, and more than once charged me for a large when clearly I received a small. Once is an accident, twice is a pattern of behavior. The food isn't so good as to justify their surly, obnoxious behavior. read more

This is my second time giving Ronny's a chance. First time was horrendous, second time worse. All I can tell you is, don't order delivery from this place unless it's 7pm and you're ordering delivery for lunch TOMORROW. I've never heard of a place taking an hour and a half to deliver 2 salads on a Tuesday night at 7pm?? Don't bother. I could have grown my dinner by the time it took them to get here. read more

Dear Yelpers, If you're reading this, then it's too late - I have entered into a food coma of epic proportions. Speaking of portions, this coma was induced by giant floppy slices of delicious pizza, heavy with mozzarella and a sauce that is just sweet enough to not be tangy without being "sweet". This sad case of foodicide was pushed over the edge by buttery parm garlic balls which are not garlic knots like one (me) may assume, but fried dough balls minus the sugar plus garlic and parm. So good, so lethal. The condition was brought on quickly -- I merely entered Ronnie's and placed a takeout order and in mere minutes! (about fifteen) it was hot and ready to exact its wrath upon me. Hot and delicious, I was victimized by three ruthless slices before slipping into a confused daze of fresh mozzarella, crispy crust, and a strong need for napkins. Please give my car to my sister, my furniture to my boyfriend, and my last slice of pizza to Wait, there's another slice left? TOUCH MY PIZZA & LOSE A HAND! That thing better be waiting for me when I come to. Yours Truly, Ellen read more

In a nutshell - awful; and they offer menu items which are virtually impossible to mess up. Pricey, and the delivery took almost an hour and a half - and the delivery guy forgot some of or dinner! Even a Chilean miner wouldn't want to eat here. read more

Recently moved to the area looking for a go-to sub shop. Conveniently enough I found Ronny's which is a 5 minute walk from my place. I have been 5+ times so I think I have a good idea of the food thus far. Their pizza is pretty good, but they seem to pound the dough really thin which I'm not the biggest fan of, but that's just my opinion. However, I must compliment them on their subs - solid portion size and they're all very delicious, especially the chicken parm and meatball. I've also ordered mozzarella sticks and the mac-n-cheese squares which I found quite delicious. One thing I would recommend is improving the customer service. Every time I call I feel like the person on the other end is trying to get off the phone, and when I go in they don't seem any happier. Also, their side dressings are pretty minimal, and I always have to ask for an extra which they like to charge. Overall, I recommend the food, but of course there are always areas of improvement. read more
