Dr. Jackson is the kind of person I would totally hang out with. He's really geeky about dentistry which is cool. He's into it and his enthusiasm emanates throughout the entire practice. He is gentle and sensitive to my tendency to completely freak out. My first visit was an emergency. I was in serious pain and really scared. It had been a while since I'd been to a dentist, I think out of fear. Loads of bad experiences in my past. He told me, "This is the last time you will cry in my office." He gave me a real Sony Walkman with Dark Side of the Moon on cassette to listen to. Legit. Following each of my first few visits, Dr. Jackson or the person who'd worked with me called me at home at night to check on me. At the office, they went above and beyond to help me feel relaxed, comfortable and safe. In terms of his work: I defy anyone to find which of my teeth is my own and which is the state-of-the-art, no-exposed-metal crown Dr. Jackson just made for me. Exquisite. Everything about Dr. Jackson and his practice is absolutely fantastic. Brilliant dentistry and sincere kindness with personality to spare. Seriously. Run. Don't walk. The level of care I recived was truly top notch and I really felt relaxed and calm during the process. She also told me that I was not particularly cavity-prone, which was the complete opposite of what the dentist here told me. Just a terrible experience here all around.

After he retired a few years back Dr. Reina Garcia took over. Typically I would shy away from a new dentist due to poor previous experiences as a kid, but I am glad I decided to give Dr. Garcia a chance. She is just as friendly, gentle and approachable. Best of all the staff (Anne, Tracie & Evelyn) never changed and are still very friendly and receptive to questions. As of this review I have been coming here for the past 6 years for my bi-annual cleanings and check- ups. During this time, I have moved further and further away but still come back here every six months because I feel comfortable which is very important to me.

A couple of years later I tried again, but this 2nd doctor told me that its root has fractured, so nothing can be done but to extract (which wasn't true as Dr. Johnston told me it's not at first glance...). Although it gave me a constant anxiety for about a year I'm so glad that I kept it and decided to see Dr. Johnston one last time. 3rd time's a charm and it's saved! Hooray!!!!
