Bad customer service and uber pretentious. I came here a couple of weeks ago, I was looking for suits for my groomsmen and I spoke to Gul, who introduced me to who I assume is a manager, I do not remember her name, brunette, brown eyes, accent. I'm actually getting my Tux from a bespoke tailor shop Klein Epstein & Parker of Beverly Hills, highly recommend them. Excellent people, treat you with respect, no matter what you look like. But I digress.
On my initial visit I asked about suits and pricing, after all I have to keep my friends budgets in mind. I was quoted a number and the "manager" said we could work something out when I returned with the guys. She said no problem, we have lots of suits, we will have this suit when you come back. Not my first time being part of a wedding so I knew all the questions to ask. I was given an item number. When I returned today she gave me number that was $100 over what we had discussed. She said she didn't have any left, a large retailer bought all of them but they were supposed to get back to her before the weekend, didn't know if she had more suits. What about the warehouse I asked? Oh yeah, we can get them. Why wouldn't a retailer just order direct I thought and have these suits for the public? And they didn't even pick up the order as they agreed upon, I had 9 dudes there ready to buy. Whatever, small potatoes I guess get excited when a big fish comes around. Again I mentioned her previously quoted price. The suits are not made in China she said, high quality. These suits are $800 retail, yeah I highly doubt that. She said I would never quote that for this suit, you're thinking of the polyblend, why would I have the item number for the wool suit though? We left to talk about it and saw other suits but we did like their suit and went back.
She saw us walk in, didn't say anything to us. After a few minutes she said we will be with you in bit. I again reminded her that I had met her before and I showed her the item number her sales Person wrote down and that she quoted me a specific number and she kept denying it. Why didn't you write it down she said. Uh you're the salesperson. She said I don't remember you, you say two weeks ago you were here but I've been in Italy and Paris and blah blah she kept on going. She proceeded to disagree with me, all she needed to do was call me liar in front of people. I told her I was there on a Wednesday and she said oh yeah, you were wearing scrubs. Didn't even apologize. She said wait a second I'll be with you. My friends and I were talking and she walked towards us and told us in a rude tone to keep our voices down and not discuss the prices of suits in front of people, which we were not doing at all. Very rude.
I felt embarrassed in front of friends and the other guests. And all that time I was patient and professional. I told my friends that we should go somewhere else and they agreed. When she came back I told her, I'm sorry for wasting your time we are leaving. She smirked and said okey, like saying, we don't want you here anyway. It's the "Fashion District" not Rodeo Drive, not JLM where my fiancé bought her wedding dress or KEP where I'm buying my Tux. Don't judge a book by its cover please. Treat everyone with respect and have some tact when dealing with customers. Yes your suit was better quality but what's that mean when you treat your clients like shit, like you're better than them and that your clothing is better than them, a little respect can go a long way. read more
