Fish Sandwich
Eric C.

Came here twice while on a fishing trip. When you pull up they have the smoker outside going and your mouth will start to water, because who doesn't love the smell of BBQ smoke going when you pull up to a BBQ joint! Had breakfast one day. I didn't get any pictures. But I had the chilaquiles with steak. There wasn't a lot of steak and the spicy potatoes were average. Also for me there was too much of the sprinkled cheese. Came back before leaving around lunch time and I had the grilled fish sandwich. It was ok. Not a ton of fish on the sandwich. For the area I'm sure the local probably love it. But for me it was a place to eat while I was in town. I won't be too hard on it, because if I was to go back I'd probably come again if I didn't feel like cooking.

Great menu!!!

So my job was to find a great lunch spot and Romi's (now Lakeview?) did not disappoint. Warning - there is no view of the lake but the good was amazing! Mom and I went w the Blu Bonnet Burger - never had blue cheese and sliced apples on a burger but trust me, it works. Definitely worth trying! My wife had the tri tip and brisket sandwich- perfect! The garlic fries were twice fried to perfection and the homemade potato salad was one of the best I've ever had - not too much mayo, potato in fresh chunks cooked exactly right. This was a fantastic stop. Service was very good. There was only one woman manning the bar AND the tables. It was quiet when we arrived and packed when we left. She was......working!

Great happy hour

Nice little barbecue place with great pricing good happy hour from 3 to 6 PM and a huge selection on meat options for tacos

Strawberry Margarita with tajin

Party of 2, 1st time here. My strawberry Margarita was delicious, I requested chamoy & tajin on the rim my hubby ordered the IPA . For dinner I ordered the fish tacos & hubby ordered the crunchy steak tacos, both just yummy . My fish tacos were perfectly seasoned, cooked & crunchy. Pretty filling since the tortillas are homemade. Service was fast & friendly, Good prices! We will definitely stop by this place next time we visit Clear Lake

Half smoked chicken

Food: 4/5 I tried the Cajun chicken pasta and the half-smoked chicken. I felt these were both delicious but slightly on the salty side. The chicken was excellent. Smoked to perfection. With the pasta, I love the diy salad bar, you can add which veggies you want to eat, and sprinkle them on the pasta if you feel like you need it. Service: I order to go, but the lady helping me was very kind and overall only 15-20 min wait. Ambiance: Inside I've seen it be busy here before, first time inside. This time I came close to closing and was the only guest.

Eggs and bacon, ooohhh yum 4 slices and hubby got the best chilaquiles he has ever had! Kudos to the chef! He complimented him personally.

Breakfast foods Chilaquiles &Crispi Hash Browns were amazing, best I ever had. I made sure to speak to the chef & complimented him on the great food. They were very busy the waitress was all over the place & did a great job. Coffee was bold & strong just to my liking. Went back for the Happy Hour, brisket slidders were soft & moist & very Tasty. The wine Margaritas were ok for wine, needs TEQUILA. Bartender could have been more attentive as her tips depend on it. She's young, she will learn as she goes. I will come back for Breakfast & Have my Happy Hour at the Resort. Great food do not be in a hurry, but is worth the wait. Meet the Cheft from Mexico City.

The food was good! Lots of options. My boyfriend got the chocolate pancakes and they had Nutella in them which he thought was a great add. Everything comes pre buttered which is a great white glove service. The service was great - love the people there and that was the best part! The ambiance fits the area and if you sit outside you can see lake views!

Always delicious ,fresh and tasty. Easy local and good parking. I recommend a beer on tap.

2 meat platter with soup and fries

Stopped in for dinner at 5pm and it was empty. Places filled up by 6pm. We got the pulled pork fries which were delicious - thick cut fries, cheese and pulled pork, delicious! The sodas were large in size and they had Pliny on tap for $5 for happy hour! The BBQ ribs and chicken were good, Mexican platter was good, and the service was great! Only one server working and she was working really hard serving 8 sets of guests. She had a great attitude and very attentive. The lack of stars is for cleanliness. The dust on the fan blades was a 1/2 inch thick and the restrooms were not awesome. Great parking, patio option and a fully stocked salad bar (we didn't get it but it looked plentiful).

As a total food snob who spent 6 years in LA and now living in San Diego, I'm used to big city…read morerestaurants with Michelin stars, designer interiors, and fancy menus. We spent the week up in Clear Lake at a family member's lake house, and went out to dinner for our final night. We heard this area was an old gold rush settlement town, so I was expecting a super simple and honestly mediocre dining experience. From the second we turned down Main St., my mind was changed for the better. The street is certainly quaint, but super cute. Blue Wing Saloon in particular has been modernized while still keeping that old town charm. We walked in the front door and were immediately greeted by both gals working the bar + outdoor seating. We were told we could sit wherever we wanted, and opted for a patio seat that had the great outdoor feel, but also a view to check in on Thursday Night Football ;) Kameron our waitress might've made my entire week. She was instantly SO bubbly, sweet, funny, and cool, while also being professional, gave great meal recommendations, and was so quick to refill waters, check in on us, etc. 100000/10 server experience. Now the food!! Again, me, food snob. Italian. Why do I keep ordering pasta in public? It's my favorite but half of the time it lets me down... not here!!! I ordered the jambalaya on special which was served in a tomato cream sauce and it was chef's freaking kiss. Flavorful sauce, great consistency, tons of fresh meat. The sauce tasted seriously homemade! My fiance got the fish and chips, which was recommended by Kameron as one of her faves, and he absolutely agreed. A lot of fish and chips have way too much breading in comparison to the fish meat, and this did not skimp out at all. I'm not even a huge fish and chips fan and I loved this meal paired with the tartar sauce! Oh she also happily let me order a lemon drop martini despite not explicitly being on the menu. We love a flexible drink order! We got appropriately (and easily) tempted into dessert and a rose liquor, mostly because I just loved the ambiance so much and kept wanting to hangout with Kameron! We were totally full but decided, why not.. We ordered the pound cake with fresh berries, and Kameron helped us workshop what we wanted the rose liquor to be served with, and she nailed it in hot toddy form. It was all around the most amazing post dinner treat I could've asked for. Every single aspect of this dining experience made my freaking week. Cannot wait to come back!!!!

They offer a small house drink menu with classics and not too classics, as well as aperitive (lower alcohol style) drinks if your doing an early cocktail hour. My Negroni was real tasty (especially after it sat with its BIG square cube for a few min) and served in a nice bodega style glass. The beer list is small, but well curated, and the wine list hits all the marks for a light smattering of local and international (French) wines. The interior was perfect and welcoming. Music was at a nice level so you can relax and talk....and thank god no TV. Four of us took our drinks into the library which was comfy and beautiful (a smidge bright) and sat on gorgeous leather couches, surrounded by a solid collection of folio books on art, mid century design, and...well I didn't get further than that 'cause that's my happy place. Don't forget to get some cheese and charcuterie too!! The bartender was super sweet and definitely learning his craft, but he was measuring his pours, following recipes for the drinks and cared about what he served you. That's a big plus because I know I will get the same great drink time and time again...with a kind smile. So awesome!! Thank you Bar Thatcher for giving us a fun night with friends and for your presence in an area (ukiah, Cloverdale, Hopland). Can't wait to come back!

But when asked the server was extremely vague about any food being available. He mentioned "to go" items next door in Poppy Cafe. But it had closed three hours earlier. So we went across the torn up sketchy street to eat at Golden Pig. Disappointing since we live very close by.

I don't know what kind of sorcery is happening with that thing, but it is PHENOMENAL. Like, "I'm going to think about this burger at random times for the foreseeable future" good. If you've looked at it on the menu and thought, ehhh, I don't know... -- this is your sign. Get it. Jeffrey got the jalapeño burger, the kids got chicken strips and a corn dog, and everything was delicious. It's definitely a little spendy, but this is one of those places where I can actually say the food is worth the price. Also have to shout out the guy behind the counter! He actually remembered Jeffrey and me from our last visit, was super kind and friendly with us and the kids, and when he accidentally gave one of our orders of chicken strips to another table, he immediately owned it and got another order out to us as soon as he realized. No weird excuses, no fuss--just "oops, my bad" and fixed it. Honestly, mistakes happen. How you handle them matters way more. Good food, friendly people, happy kids, and a sushi burger that has absolutely no business being THAT good. We'll be back. Probably embarrassingly soon.
