Jori is just the best! I was absolutely blown away with her work at my wedding. I met with her once in person and we had a couple of phone calls, and she knew exactly what look I was going for. She uses a lot of different vases, candles, and decor to make really unique and beautiful looks. She was extremely flexible and kind during all of the changes with the pandemic. I love that she is concerned with sustainability and low waste, and she donated my flowers to a hospice the day after the wedding. One of my friends told me my wedding flowers were the prettiest she had ever seen, and I have to agree. They brought tears to my eyes. Jori was absolutely lovely to work with, from start to finish. We met with several florists, and Jori was by far our favorite and also most reasonable in terms of cost. We only met with Jori once, but from that one meeting we knew we were in great hands, and she was very easy to communicate with by phone and email, which was helpful since we were planning from out of state. We loved that during our consultation, after looking at photos and discussing our vision, she designed our centerpieces right then and there, trying out her different vases, vessels, and candles. We were ECSTATIC with the flower arrangements Fab Flora did for our early October wedding party at the J. Parker! As the flowers were brought in before the party, my anxieties about the day were already much reduced as the flowers were gorgeous. Jori did an amazing job as the florist for my wedding. Since the wedding was in a library, we gave our guests books as wedding favors but also wanted to use the books as a centerpiece decoration. The result was so beautiful. I had been worried that the tables would end up looking messy with so many books, but instead they looked classy and cool. She also made the most adorable flower crown for my niece. All the bridal party flowers were stunning and she included some flowers for my hair as well. My mom and I were SO impressed with Jori. We met Jori through our amazing wedding planner, Carlene Smith of Naturally Yours. True to form, Jori was likewise amazing. To give you the background - I am allergic to flowers. I have been all my life, which means that I have never really paid attention to them or really thought they were anything special. My initial reaction to the question of flowers was "Do we really need flowers? We probably don't, right?" Everyone laughed, then realized I was serious, and then told me I was silly. Well, I can say that I am do happy that no one took me seriously. The flowers at my wedding were gorgeous, and I loved them. But I am jumping ahead of myself. Jori immediately set me at ease in our first meeting. When she realized I did not have a clue, she asked my husband and I questions to get some notes on our style and she took a look at the pinterest board I had been working on. From that, she was able to start making suggestions, showing us images of sample flowers, and putting together notes on what we were leaning towards. She hit it out of the park the first time around. When she sent us our first pass at the proposal, everything we had mentioned we liked was incorporated. My husband had specific thoughts on colors, and Jori managed to design a look that fit our personalities while matching the colors he wanted to see. All the while, she was wonderful to work with - such a sweetheart. Any changes we wanted to make, any additions - Jori handled it all so seamlessly that it looked easy. I thought we had a great plan for the flowers, but I honestly was not thinking about them must until the wedding because, as I mentioned above, flowers are not really my thing. But I can say truthfully, that all changed. The day of the wedding, I was overwhelmed with how beautiful the flowers were. Something that was such a background item to me stood out. They were really gorgeous - from the bouquets to the table flowers to the flowers cascading over our chuppah. I was so impressed that I could not stop talking about the flowers the whole night. Jori did a phenomenal job. The other thing I wanted to mention is Jori's commitment to being eco-friendly. I work in building sustainability, and it was very important to me that we try to be as eco-friendly as possible. Jori was a great choice for this, and I felt better knowing that the flowers were local and in season. I would highly recommend working with Jori and Fab Flora. Jori was fantastic to work with for our wedding day! When I was initially emailing and calling florists to see who may be available for our big day, Jori responded within a few hours and was as pleasant as could be. The hope I held for my wedding was that I could find a florist who understood what I really wanted in terms of look, textures, and emotional impact, and that on my wedding day I wouldn't be disappointed to find that the reality didn't live up to the dream.
