I was gifted this Mother's Day arrangement and could not be more delighted by the mix of exotic and familiar flowers. Looking forward to the iris opening. read more

I called and ordered flowers for Mother's Day and said how much should I spend to get a nice bouquet. They said between $50 to $100. Ok. So I spent $75 and they charged additional $25 for delivery, and it was only a few miles away. I called them at 6:25 pm and said why weren't flowers delivered? And she said "we are still doing deliveries". My mother got her flowers at 9:15 pm. Mother's Day was over!! And to top it off, the bouquet was such a disappointment. Two roses and the rest fillers. For $75!!! Buyer Beware! read more

I can't believe I have never check in or write a review about this place. My kids and I are a regular at this place. We usually come around 7.30 am, before school time. We have a tradition where we give the teachers a flower as a birthday present. And we come here so my kids can pick their own flowers to give to their teachers. My kids are always excited to come here as the owner is always nice and really take care of my kids special order. The price is really the same if you buy at a big chain grocery store. But honestly, you will not get the same service if you buy the flowers at othet place. read more

I've always had a great experience with Henry Hampton. I've known them long enough to work with them through busy times and slow times. They've always been helpful and creative. I just ask for designer's choice knowing that I'll get the best of what's available. I highly recommend Henry Hampton Floral and Ilda to anyone in need of flowers. read more

You contacted me (the next day..day of event...3 hours before the event), and you offered a "discount" --not complimentary. Given the circumstances, you should have offered it complimentary, but that is not what happened. By that point, your lack of responsiveness had angered me to a point that I felt compelled to share the details of my experience so that others can weight their options. I do recognize that my order for a corsage and boutonnière were not as important as an event like a wedding, however I do expect professional courtesy. Again, it was less about your failure to deliver as promised (things happen, i get it...), and more about your not communicating with me. A simple text or one-minute, apologetic message. I suspect the average florist shop customer is only interested in receiving their correct order on time and/or to be notified as quickly as possible should there be a problem with the order. There is nothing inaccurate in my comments--nothing. Had you offered it complimentary, i would have picked it up just to make a comparison (i actually found the "half-price" offer a little insulting under the circumstances). I use Yelp to help me decide among businesses, and any comments I make are to help others make informed decisions. One honest, negative experience does not greatly impact my decisions. There are many wonderful reviews of your business. Remember, i was referred to you. But i had a bad experience, and i chose to share it because I think that is helpful to users. I have no other motivations. I wish you well. I just think potential customers should be aware of problems one or some customer(s) have had, and I would hope you would consider handling the situation differently, should it happen again. read more

This place sucks and they do not care about their customer's legitimate complaints. My mother was trying to do something nice for my husband and I and surprise use with a basket in our hotel when we arrived. They delivered it late, not what she ordered (which they didn't even inform her they were out of until she called and asked about the delivery since it had not shown up. Guess they weren't going to bother, hoping to get away with stealing someone's money). The cake was a dry, stale week old piece of cardboard from Mariano's (probably their dumpster out back) and when I left a Google review they didn't apologize for their late delivery or the terrible quality of the items. My mom is the sweetest and we appreciated her gesture but they need to refund her because this was truly terrible. Use anyone else for your gifting needs. read more

A wonderful store filled w/talented florists! Recently I asked for a bouquet with a max of $45 (tax incl). Not only did the team deliver a beautiful display, the total cost was only $35 (tax incl)! I deeply appreciate their willingness to work w/my budget. Perhaps not the cheapest, but by far the best service with creative artists who turn your words and your vision into gorgeous display of colorful and head-turning flowers. I am more than pleased and will frequent them again. I recommend them highly. Patrick Shaughnessy Chicago, IL read more

I'm so glad to be able to write a positive review. Henry Hampton florist is fantastic. Not only are the flowers super fresh, and they last a long time. But the Florists are amazing, so nice, so knowledgeable. I can't say enough about Henry Hampton floral. Please, if you're looking for flowers give them a call or stop in. They're wonderful to work with. read more

Catfish and unprofessional business alert! Stay away from this florist if you want to avoid: 1. Receiving flowers two days later than your scheduled delivery date with no notice of it being late even though you ordered a couple days in advance and received an order confirmation with your delivery date. You'll also receive a deceptive delivery slip attached to your flowers that shows your scheduled delivery date on it. Good thing my building tracks deliveries by date, so you can't pull your fraudulent business practices on me. 2. Having one of your loved ones not receive their flowers at all due to not meeting some "minimum" that their website doesn't disclose in a delivery area they accepted and sent you an order confirmation email for. 3. Being catfished by a florist that uses photos of more elegant bouquets online to lure you into buying them only to deliver a bouquet that looks nothing close to what you ordered and isn't worth nearly the price you would have paid at any other florist. 4. Receiving a rambling, rude message from someone at their store who never mentions her name. Then, when you call back and you happen to get a hold of the rude lady, she hangs up on you after nonsensically saying "Is this you? Is this you? Never mind! Bye."...only to call you back a few minutes later to interrupt one of your work meetings and claim she isn't rude. Um, yes you are. Bye! Avoid this place to save yourself money and heartbreak. Your loved ones will thank you for it. See photos for catfish evidence. read more

I needed a next day funeral arrangement. I wanted to use an actual local business rather than a 1-800... I called several Nearby places, but this is the business that made it happen. Thank you for the good service!! read more

This place should not be open for business if they are unable to take customer calls in a timely manner. It appears their mailbox is full, and I have been trying to reach them for the entire morning to get an update on the status of my order. Being that it has not been going well, I would like to get a refund. I have had to place another flower order with Kelly's Flower (175 W. Jackson), who were responsive, prompt, and ensured me my flowers would be delivered to the recipient in time. I wish I would have read the reviews prior to ordering, because even judging by their response to reviews/customers, which are rude, it appears the people who work here are barely managing the amount of requests. If that is the case, they should reconsider their business model. This is unfortunate for them and the customers. I hope they can turn things around soon. read more

I ordered a gift for my friend on Valentine day. Until now, my friend still didn't get it. The service is terrible, they are no helpful at all, even though my friend's house is really close to the store. Also, it is hard to reach someone here for help. NOT RECOMMENDED AT ALL! read more

DISAPPOINTED!!!! The arrangement sent to a friend was mediocre at best. What was more disturbing was the conversation that took place once I received the charges. A picture was sent of the arrangement and I immediately replied and stated it was just ok and I did not like the choice of flowers. I thought they would remove the flowers I did not like and replace. They delivered it anyway. $64 for two roses, two gerber daisies and fillers( carnations & pompoms). Not much thought nor creativity. I'm embarrassed that she received this arrangement from me. I hope it's the thought that counts. read more

I called at 9am to see if Henry Hampton Floral offered same day delivery as I wanted to surprise my wife the day before Valentine's Day. Was told that delivery time could take up to 4 hours, which was perfect. After calling my wife throughout the day to see if see had any "missed calls" , I finally called Henry Hampton Floral back 5.5 hours after placing the order only to be told that the flowers were still sitting at the store. I ordered from this store specifically because they are 0.5 miles from my wife's office building. Not giving 1 star because the individual I spoke with was sorry and was able to cancel and refund me my order. Just very disappointed that I was not able to send same-day flowers to my wife. Do not recommend this location if you are looking for same-day delivery. read more

I used Henry Hampton Floral for my June 2015 wedding and the team there was incredible! The centerpieces were stunning, my bouquet and bridesmaids bouquets were better than I could have even imagined and the customer service was outstanding. I first discovered Henry Hampton when I stopped in one day to pick up a bouquet for a friend's bridal shower and casually asked about their services and prices. I mentioned my budget (which according to other florists was "very low") and a rough idea of what I was looking for and instead of hearing "unfortunately, our minimum price range is...." or "For that amount your only going to get..." I was told they could most certainly work with me. After an in-person meeting with David to go over what I wanted, we then scheduled a time to look at three samples--yes! They put together 1. exactly what I asked for 2. what they thought would look best 3. something in the middle. I can't tell you what a wonderful perk this is! Not surprising, what they put together is what I selected and I left feeling 100% confident as to what I could expect on my wedding day. And when I had last minute changes, because I did, Denise was wonderful and would send me an updated outline reflecting all changes. Speaking of the wedding day, everything was delivered on time and both my cocktail and reception venues looked exceptional. I will upload photos once I receive them from my photographer. I absolutely recommend Henry Hampton Floral--they were a joy to work with! read more

Save yourself head ache order from another place. I ordered flowers for my wife who gave birth to our son last month for mothers day. Decided to get some nice flowers and forget about cost. First they call me saturday (day before) to say they ran out of the vase so if ok to put it in something else- read something "cheaper". Ok fine. Then they call me saturday at 8pm saying they cant deliver flowers for mothers day. I placed this orders way way in advance. Horrible service and quality. read more

The bouquet itself was beautiful. However, the delivery person left it with the building instead of delivering it to my door, so I got my flowers one day after my birthday. My husband looked so disappointed when he called from his business trip and realized I hadn't received anything. Also, many of the stems were short (reaching halfway down the vase) with ragged edges. I trimmed them again with sharp shears but the short stems left little wiggle room. It seems many people don't get great service when ordering online, so I would try calling instead. Then again, there are many other florists to try in the area. read more

My husband and I have rarely used an actual florist before Henry Hampton. He moved in about a year ago, and we couldn't be happier that he did! I have honestly NEVER been disappointed by anything that David creates He is absolutely brilliant and I will NEVER go anywhere else, no matter how many bad reviews he gets. I know in my heart that he truly cares and the whole staff cares as well, or he wouldn't have them working for him. I understand that there are very busy times of the year, such as Valentine's Day or Mother's Day and can be extremely busy for any florist. So with that said don't wait until the last minute to order your flowers. I will always be a loyal customer to Henry Hampton Floral and I am so happy my husband is as well!!! If you had a bad experience, give him another chance "you won't be sorry you did" read more

He did not deliver flowers to the business listed, asked my wife to come to the street when she is busy at work in addition shes pregnant. I am definitely dissapointed and i didnt pay for such service. I used Marcel flowers in past and never had issues. Driver also said to come downstairs because he is running late, well i dont honestly care - he should be on time! It dissppinting to spend almost 100$ for flowers and get such service! On top of that flowers ordered looked nothing like the flowers that were delivered. read more

I called Henry Hampton Floral with a request related to upcoming holiday parties that we are hosting at our home. I literally gave them one days notice and provided them with some pictures of what I had in mind. I was told that they had some ideas and that they would try to put something together that we would be pleased with. I even called and requested that the pick up time be a little bit earlier to fit in with my schedule due to multiple errands that needed to be run. I can't tell you how pleased we are with the various arrangements that we picked up. They are absolutely lovely. I have used HHF for small things before. For this larger order, I was so pleased with the results. I can't wait to hear the compliments that we are sure to get as we invite guests into our home. I will be recommending HHF at every opportunity. read more

Ilda did beautiful floral arrangements for our event in August! They made the room come alive. This is one of a few flower businesses I really love on the south side of Chicago. read more

I had an event near the McCormick Center. I called in to place an order and gave my information to a woman. However, this process of ordering was so stressful I could barely handle it. They ended up taking my credit card number down wrong. Some man, I think the owner, had the audacity to be incredibly rude to me as if it was my fault. The flowers looked like they came from the grocery store. It's sad because I'm the south loop there aren't too many options. Very sad at this experience. read more

I decided to propose, and a friend recommended this joint for the flowers. I walked in and I'm like, "hey. I have no idea what I'm doing. Help me out." This goes on, and my stupidity excels, and the gentleman helping me never loses his patience, and he talked me out of several very bad ideas, which led to a very simple, beautiful red and white rose bouquet with a Christmas touch. The man was very informative, gave me a good deal, and made me look way less dumb and nervous than I really am. Good experience, good joint, great arrangements, great service, good prices. Definitely returning. read more

I'm very lucky to have a thoughtful boyfriend who sends me flowers. With little guidance other than a color scheme (i.e. purple and white when I graduated from NU, pinks and greens in the springtime, red and green for the holidays, etc.), Henry Hampton has created and delivered over a dozen bouquets to me, and every single one has been beautiful. The florists are extremely talented and they only use the freshest of flowers. I change the water once in the morning and once at night and it isn't unusual for my bouquets to last 10 days. The one time my bf didn't use them there was a noticeable difference. The quality wasn't the same and the arrangement was sparse. So I'd highly recommend Henry Hampton if you're looking for beautiful, quality flowers. read more
