Just moved to the South Loop and wanted to get "something" for the wife as a condo-warming. I'm an idiot when it comes to knowing what to order when dealing with flowers and plants. David answered the phone and I told him the scenario and he suggested a low maintenance plant. Delivery showed up and the wife loved it. Great job at a great price. Fast forward a month and I called Dave back to get some beautiful spring flowers for the onemonthaversary. Absolutely amazing arrangement. Again delivered at a great price. Strongly recommend and I can assure you I'll be a regular customer. read more

Henry Hampton is the best florist we have ever used. We walked past his shop on a Saturday saw his flowers came back to condo called him with our order and they are the most beautiful flowers we have ever sent. Called him at around 11:30 AM they were delivered by 2:30. We highly recommend this florist to everyone. Thank you for the beautiful flowers and faster than expected delivery. My husband loves to support our local flower shop HHF. HHF does have a beautiful flower selection and lovely arrangements. They are very close to our home and orders are always ready on time. However, they never put flower food in their bouquets! My husband always comes home with arrangements costing anywhere from $50-$150 and they die in 3 days because he wasn't given flower food! It makes me so mad and is a total waste of money to me. I just feel like the shop should give a few flower food packs to all their customers, no matter what, and especially men, who just don't know to ask. I know they have the packs so just stuff it in the bouquet!!! read more

I love Henry Hampton Florist!! They created arrangements for both my wedding and my daughter's Christening, and I could not have been more pleased!!! The individual I worked with definitely had a bit of sass to him, but he was funny and good to work with. He even suggested that I could buy my own vases to save money! What florist does that!?!? For my wedding, I provided a few pictures of potential bouquets I would be interested in, and when the bouquets arrived at our hotel -- they were better than I expected!!! Gorgeous! For my daughter's Christening, all I told him was "Springy and girly" and he set up some time for me to see a sample of what he was thinking. When I went in for the sample, I wanted to mix some of the colors around and he was totally helpful in getting more, as he called it "ummppfffh" in the centerpieces! It was great! They turned out beautifully!! Highly recommend! read more

Gorgeous arrangement! Fresh and artistic. My recipient was not answering her door and they went out of their way to call us both to be able to deliver. Thoughtful and efficient customer service. I highly recommend this shop. read more

Called at 9am to pick up 6 wrist corsages at 2pm. Good service, lovely product and well priced. Great neighborhood store :)

Mr. Hampton, Thank you for helping me choose the right flowers for my wedding bouquet and my bridesmaid. Everything that you done was very professional, the designs, the colors, the right sizes, everything was just the way, my husband and I wanted it. The flowers were deliver before time, even to our cake decorator" Amy Beck Cakes." Thank you again for your business and promptness. And I would highly recommend anyone to visit your florist shop, because you know, your work and you are about business. (sorry for the late post) thank you, again Diane W. read more

I thought I would give them a chance again this year for valentine's day. Apparently I should have gone elsewhere. Last year, they screwed up my order and didn't even know who I was when I came to pick up my flowers. After waiting for almost 45 minutes, they finally found my order. However, they had no record of me having already paid and would not let me leave without giving them a credit card number. And of course they did exactly what I knew they would and charged me twice. I spent the next 3 weeks getting them to take the double charge off. Now today the roses I picked up were wrapped in plastic and I couldn't see the detail until I got home. I almost didn't even give them to my wife because they were so bad. Every single rose either had dead spots and was wilting or was torn. Prices are already sky high during valentine's day, but when I spend that much money on roses, they had better be perfect. Their flowers are far from that. I'll definitely be shopping for a new florist next year during this time. read more

Horrible service... After my grandma passed away, a good friend tried to send me flowers from this florist. The guy who called to inform me of the delivery, David, was very unpleasant to speak with. Very rude and inconsiderate. After the flowers did not come within the designated delivery time frame (and after waiting at home for that long), I called to ask about them. He claimed they were already delivered, and implied that I must have been lying. After finally convincing him there were no flowers delivered, he did not even apologize and just asked when I wanted them re-delivered. Even while knowing the flowers were for my late grandmother, he did not even do so. Perhaps this florist is good, and David is the problem. In that case, try to avoid working with David at all costs. read more

I had never been to a florist before this and I had a wonderful experience. I came in stressed out because I needed a bouquet for my city hall marriage the next day and the man who helped me was so calm and helpful. He created the most beautiful bouquet for only $20 and also surprised me with a boutonniere for my husband. Overall, a great experience and I would highly recommend. read more

I was in Chicago on business (staying in the South Loop at the Hyatt McCormick Place) and needed a floral arrangement as a gift. Found Henry Hampton Florist via Yelp and made the trip. Touchdown. David could not have been more helpful! He figured out exactly what I needed, pulled it all together, and made a beautiful arrangement that cost less than I thought it would. This is a terrific shop, and in its new location, he could use the word getting out. Please give Henry Hampton Florist a try. I'm so glad I did. read more

I went to Henry Hampton Floral on a referral for my wedding flowers. Thank God I did!! I had a very particular vision when it came to my bouquet as well as my centerpieces and was terrified that I would not find someone who could pull it off. My bouquet was something I saw out of a bridal magazine - long, cascading, and elegant. My centerpieces were manzanita branches with bright flowers and hanging votives that were tied in together. Again, not the norm - and not easy to pull off! I was left absolutely breathless when I saw the finished product. Not only did they pull it off - it was even BETTER than what I saw in magazines. I received endless compliments the day of the wedding and my bouquet was featured on Style Me Pretty. I could go on forever about how wonderful they are - but you get the picture. My wedding would not have been as gorgeous as it was were it not for the talented people who work here (David)! I am officially a lifelong customer. My boyfriend and I have been getting flowers from Henry Hampton Florist for three years and have always been impressed by the quality of the flowers and the customer service that we have received. David, the owner, can whip up an amazing arrangement to meet our vague and varied requests. He never fails to deliver flowers that have our friends oooooh and aaaaah. He is very conscious of cost and can work with any budget. Trust him and he will not let you down. read more

I heard so many great things about Henry Hampton Floral so on a whim I decided to stop in for flowers for a friend's birthday. I had an idea of what I wanted and chatted with David. My request was a black box with a dozen roses needed the next day. David, custom made my box, and placed 12 long stemmed roses with Eucalyptus in the box. I was BEYOND impressed by the class and elegance he created in so little time. Moving forward keeping it masculine. I can honestly say friends (men and women) were raving about my flowers for days! Thank you David for your creativity, excellent work ethic, and putting my vision to reality. You are amazing!!!!!!!!! read more

This florist had an issue with my order and, in my opinion, was very unpleasant to deal with trying to get it resolved. I do not recommend this florist. I've never had problems like this from FTD or 1800Flowers. read more

I bought a center piece here for thanksgiving. It was gorgeous and super reasonably priced, people actually thought it was made of fake flowers it looked so nice. I told the woman we were driving to Wisconsin with it and she packaged it extra carefully. I've also gone in there for flower arrangement ideas. They'll arrange flowers that you bring in (real or faux) for a small fee. Such a friendly neighborhood spot. I wish I needed flowers more often! read more

Terrible..ordered a long low table arrangement for Mother's Day..The lady who took the order told be to look online, she asked my CC info 5 times, Quoted me $35.00 dollars then added tax and told me it was $56.00 and ended up writing up a tall spring arrangement. I called back to insure my ordered was place correctly just to double check. I spoke to Dorothy she corrected my order and changed my ticket . I arrived on Mother's day. They brought out my arrangement and it was a tall cheap spring arrangement. The ticket had been changed to long low table arrangement. by Dorothy. No one bothered to read the ticket I talked to the owner and he didn't have anything to Say. Last time I use Henry Hampton. Buyer beware!!!!!!! read more

I placed an order for an arrangement at 9 am this past Saturday and it was delivered by 10:30 am. The recipient sent me a photo and it was absolutely beautiful. No matter the occasion, David is always able to provide me with a fresh and beautiful arrangement. From my high school prom, many family funerals, or even just an "I'm thinking of you" arrangements to my mom and sister, I am never disappointed. Even without providing much insight to what I want, I am treated with patience, and kindness despite my being indecisive. All he needs is a color scheme and he gets right to it! My family's go to for all things floral. Never a disappointment. read more

I was looking for a local florist to send flowers to a friend. After reading the posts on Henry Hampton Floral, I decided to give them a try. I called my order in after looking at the website (Telaflora based). I referenced an arrangement that I saw on the website, but gave them free reign to do something similar in cost. My friend sent me a picture and it is spectacular!!!! It was an assortment of colored roses with baby's breath and some kind of tiny pink flower and it looked so beautiful. It was in a clear vase with a beautiful sheer bow around the neck of the vase. My friend felt special and honored. I would definitely order from them again! Also, he gave a two hour window for the delivery on this day and got it to her within the hour! I'm sure that depends on how busy the day is, but it sure was a nice and prompt delivery from when the thought hit me to do this to when my friend got it! I also thought the price was in a good! read more

I worked with Denise and David for our wedding 2 years ago- they are the best florists I've worked with. They are quick to respond, creative and experts in their recommendations and very accommodating to my needs/vision. I had to communicate for several months from CA. When we came to Chicago to finalize the flowers, they had several options during our meeting and I loved everything they suggested. For the big day, I LOVED all the bouquets- mine, the bridesmaids' bouquets, corsages, etc. EVERYTHING looked so perfect. The cost was super reasonable as well. I returned to Chicago for my son's 1st birthday and wanted flowers for our party in the suburbs. They honored their initial quote for me (there was some last-minute changes and we almost had to abort the whole thing) and helped make the delivery/party so easy for us. Everyone wanted to take the flowers home. I HIGHLY recommend Henry Hampton Floral to be your florist for any/everything. I plan to work with Denise and David for any events we have in Chicago!!! Thank you for making 2 of our biggest days so beautiful! read more

Best florist in the city of Chicago. I've been a frequent customer since his days on Wabash and 8th. I've never been disappointed in the aesthetics and longevity of the bouquets. Henry Hampton did our wedding flowers in early September. We were students on a budget, and this florist worked with us and did not disappoint. My bouquet looked wild and fresh and lasted for days once I plopped it in a vase at home. My maid of honor's bouquet was so gorgeous that I almost stole it when I first saw it. The color and texture were so lush! Most remarkably of all, when I told David that for the centerpieces I had bottles and wanted to order bulk flowers to fill them, he said, "It will be cheaper and more fun to just go to the farmer's market." He even recommended a favorite grower that sells there. I so appreciate that he gave us the best advice instead making a somewhat larger sale. What a pro! We will definitely use Henry Hampton again. read more

Just got 2 houseplants (fake ones) for a great deal during their 50% off sale. I walked into Henry Hampton Floral exactly one week before my wedding, in mid July, looking for a wildflower bouquet and worried I had not given myself enough time... I must have looked stressed because the first thing the owner said, without prompting from me, was "Are you getting married today or tomorrow?". When I told him it wasn't until the following Saturday he told me I had all the time in the world! He was extremely friendly and amazing to work with. I didn't know what I wanted, but I knew I wanted wildflowers, after looking very briefly at only one photo on my phone he made me the PERFECT bouquet, that was exactly what I envisioned. I had also ordered hops online to make boutonnieres but David made the groom's boutonniere with a couple of pieces of hops that I gave him and and the same wildflowers from my bouquet, and it was also perfect! While we only purchased my bouquet and boutonnieres from Henry Hampton Floral, their prices were reasonable and the outcome was perfect and beautiful! read more

Just received a small arrangement. It is simply beautiful. I've used a lot of florists but HH's arrangement is definitely a class above. Not only the flowers are fresh and pretty but the vase is also very nice - not like clear plastic vase we often see. Very tasteful, very creative. They called me to make sure I was home to receive it. Good service. I will definitely use them again. read more
