Food: amazing so far. Everything we've tried has been freshly made (at least it taste like it) and delicious! The place itself could use some renovations. Service is not so great. Although they try their best.. we always end up waiting at least 40 mins for our appetizers and between 1 hr 30 mins to 2 hours for our main dish. They really need more people in the kitchen because one person back there all the time isn't going to cut it. once or twice we have seen a second person but 95% of the time it's just the owner I believe. If only the had more people in the kitchen for faster service, I'd come more often! read more

Call before to make sure they are still open and what time they close. Cheese bread good. Fresh, soft, good size of loaf. Sauce hits the spot Mozzarella sticks .. Low carb chicken plate... really love the fact that this was on the menu. Light but fulfilling Chicken Marcela it was ok to much wine on the sauce . Spaghetti and meat sauce.. home made sauce their speciality . Really good love this. Salad ..fresh however ranch was watered down. Ambiance... simple nothing to flashy. The outside of this place isn't the nicest and lacks some upkeep. The inside isn't too thrilling either. Some of the booths have large rips. Besides the dining atmosphere, the food was hit or miss. The complimentary bread was yummy, the stuffed mushrooms were just perfect, but my actual entree (the Ham and Spinach tortellini) was very underwhelming and lacked some serious flavor. The tomato sauce from my moms spaghetti was very acidic and wasn't seasoned. Almost like just a can of tomato sauce. I hope to maybe order something else next time I visit and give this place a second chance. read more

I did not like the experience with the pasta. I wasn't amazed by the fettuccine alfredo that everyone in town recommended. It was a little too al dente but I suppose you could request softer noodles. Pasta was swimming in a in a pool of thin white sauce with minimal flavor. It had a shrimp-y smell. Could just be the type of cheese or seasoning. I paid to add chicken and this made all the difference. Adding the well seasoned breaded chicken is recommended. The chicken was the salt the pasta needed. I've eaten here a few times and I've come to a conclusion that I'm not a fan of this restaurant. I love Italian restaurants! I know they TRY very hard to provide a good service but seem to miss the mark. How so? Was greeted and sat promptly. After 10 minutes or so the waitress can back to take my order (she was chatting with people she kinda knew at another table). Once order was in my salad came out but didn't have the dressing I expected on it so I was going to ask for something different. BUT she disappeared to chat more with her friends. After about 15 minutes she cane back to check on me. I just let the salad stay and ask for parmigiano cheese to sprinkle on it. My food/order eventually came out in a small bowl. I order the Trio dish. It didn't look like much but was plentiful from being smashed together. I wasn't impressed as the three dishes normally taste different when separate as I expected them to come out like at OG. I think on a previous visit the dish was separated. The temp throughout the whole meal was uncomfortable the whole time. It felt like I was sitting outside. There are a couple Italian restaurants in Lubbock that are amazing that will be where I go when I have a taste for Italian food. I can't recommend this place but will say to read reviews to see how to possibly better your visit if you decide to go. read more

My husband and I have been in Clovis for 2 years and just now got around to trying Roma's! It was soooo good and so much better than we expected. We had garlic bread and Italian sausage to start, then I had tortellini and he had chicken parmesan. Everything was delicious and came out pretty quickly. I have been to Roma's several times over the past year. The first few times I went I ordered the spinach ravioli. It was really tasty (homemade ravs), but the portion was pretty small. About the third time I visited I asked the waitress what her favorite meal was. Without hesitating she said "Chicken Roma or anything with the pink sauce". I could not agree more. I order the Chicken Roma every time I go now. There are some things I am not a fan of on the menu (hence the missing star), but overall if you stick the the yummy pink sauce you are set. The service has been very good and the chef is very kind and welcoming. After many visits here we will continue to go back often. read more

When I went inside, there was only one other table of people... a little concerning but I decided to give it a try anyway. I order the chicken Parmesan. It came out in a reasonable amount of time and the price wasn't bad. The chicken was really good, far better than I had expected. The only downside to the meal was that the tomato sauce they used on the pasta was slightly bland. If I had it to do over, I think I'd get some alfredo to add some more flavor to the pasta. Also, if you really do enjoy canned great value chicken then Roma's on Mabry is the place for you! With so few choices in Clovis (perhaps because it is 'under-Yelped'), I took the wife and kids to Roma's based on Yelp reviews. Although we were quickly seated and service was attentive, I think the quality and value were just not there for me. I mean the Kids meals were $5.99 - which is pricey in any town in the Southwestern US. My wife and I both had house salads which had had no spring mix or romaine lettuce - it was all iceberg lettuce (yuck...but in fairness, it did include 2 banana peppers and one slice of tomato). The Spinach ravioli ($9.99) was good, but contained only 4 raviolis. The only thing noteworthy for me was that the their pesto sauce on this dish was very good - but is was just not enough to offset the undersized portion. :-( My son Grant has the Fettuccine Alfredo and the sauce was nice and creamy with a noticeable garlic component. At least for this visit, they earned a solid 3 stars...but when I am passing through Clovis again, I'll probably check out other dining options before I'd return to Roma's. Seems like few Italian restaurants out West make their own pasta. Even Albuquerque had only two restaurants that made their own pasta! ( one closed because of the pandemic).
