I placed an online order that was scheduled to be ready at 12:45 PM, but I didn't receive my food until 1:30 PM. The biggest issue seemed to be staffing there was only one employee in the kitchen trying to prepare all of the orders. Ordered takeout. The Pepperoni Lover's came with a very small amount of pepperonis. Some pieces had zero pepperonis. The other pizza was supposed to be a pan crust. Got home and realized it was thin. They delivered another but made the same mistake with the crust. At this point it's almost 9pm, so we requested a refund. They offered an $8 refund and a $10 credit. Normally don't really write reviews for these chain type of restaurants, but since there aren't too many restaurants in Portales - the food choices are kind of limited. Also, apparently most of the Pizza Huts in NM were sit-down restaurants with buffet options - something I haven't seen in LA as those Pizza Huts are usually carry-out only. We were craving Pizza Hut on a weeknight, so of course ... gotta see if there are any good deals to get your money's worth. Ordered a large pizza on-line complete with pretty much every topping we could think of before we headed out the door to pick up the pizza several minutes later. Even though we had ordered the pizza fairly late, there was still a good number of customers eating inside the store. Pizza smelled good and the restaurant seemed to be fairly clean. Picked up my pizza with no hassle. Coupon code was already applied, so we paid - got some napkins and cheese & pepper packets and were out the door within minutes. The lady who helped us seemed friendly enough. We dug into the pizza as soon as we got home. It was really good despite the fact that we had packed on toppings. Warm, doughy, cheesy with a good amount of sauce while toppings were spread all throughout the pizza. Not too salty, although it was pretty heavy. I was done after two slices giving us enough to eat the next day. tl;dr - If you're craving pizza and want it fairly quickly, you can always count on Pizza Hut to deliver. Called in order at 6 pm. Order came 40 min later but without my wings. Contacted local Pizza Hut. They said I can give you a refund or get the wings delivered in 30 min. I said delivery in 30 min is fine. At 8 pm no wings. Contacted store again spoke to general manager. She said I can give you a refund but you have to come in. What's the point in that. I ordered delivery for a reason. So I didn't have to go out. Not only did I pay for delivery service and didn't get my correct order...now I can't get a refund unless I go to the store. What a joke. I will never go back here again!!!!! I went here to enjoy some time with the wife and get some dinner. I was seated very swiftly and now that I think of it, it was to get my money. We ordered our drinks and needed some more time to decide what to eat. Enough time went by that my beer (tall) had one sip left In it by the time the waitress came back. Shoulda taken the hint but I ignored it. I ordered a calzone and the wife ordered a salad, we also got an appetizer. The wife's salad came out, she finished her salad. At this point I had been out of a refreshment for 10 minutes. My calzone finally came out and finally was able to get another refreshment. Still no appetizer!!!!! Nacho fries of all things, something that takes two minutes in a deep fryer and a minute tops for the toppings on them. I finished my calzone and what would you know those nacho fries showed up. And yes I had to ask if I had to pay for the fries, by then I'm super FRUSTRATED and didn't want them. Never got an update if I had to pay for them. I finished my beer and walk up front to pay the ticket. Mind you I had to ask for my ticket before they swiped my card. Our waitress was too busy checking the schedule to even talk to us or tell us the fries had been taken off. I also noticed while I waiting on my calzone the waitress was on her phone while pretending to wrap forks up except for when sum1 else came over to help. My perspective is from dine in, buffet only. My only problem is with waiter attentiveness and wait time. Pros: average prices, seating is sufficient. Cons: buffet really suffers from lack of maintenance. I can't count the times I have gone, and waited a significant amount of time for the buffet to be stocked again. If you come here in any amount of rush, you might leave hungry! Customer service is lacking. 50% of the time I have been left waiting to have my drink order taken and have left a few times. Once you do get your drink ordered, waiting on the buffet is a big downside as well as ever getting a refill or having your additions remembered such as salad or side of dipping sauce. Without fail, you can expect at least 1 if not 2 of these things to occur is a single visit to this location. I have attended at least 8 birthday parties or events which used the available space in the back. They usually keep drinks stocked and have pizza available fast. No real complaints there. read more

You dont want me to write a review here--would hate for this Pizza Hut to go out of biz... It is the only one in ummm like 3.5 hours drive.

This Pizza Hut tends to treat my friends and I well. We like the cheap pitchers of beer and the food always tastes great for us.

Consistently bad service every time we go here. And if you ask for extra toppings they don't do it. I pay for extra for you to give them to me! Most of the time any complaint is blown off and I'm not a picky customer. I rarely write reviews, but this particular Pizza Hut sucks. Hope they pull it together soon. read more
