A true gem in Owosso! Roma's has a long history as a classic Italian family restaurant and pizzeria, and new owners are building on that history and tradition with well conceived updates. The wine list offers unique yet affordable options and is curated well. Numerous craft beers are available on draught as well. We started with their signature appetizer -- the roasted garlic platter. Outstanding! Two whole garlic cloves, slow roasted for hours and accompanied by roasted red peppers and Boursin cheese, served with crostinis. We then built our own Chicago-style pizza. The key to any pizza is the crust, and the crust is even more important with Chicago-style pizzas. They have it nailed at Roma's. It was the first time I can remember that I actually ate the crust-ends on a Chicago-style pizza! Ask for a side of their meat sauce for dipping -- decades old recipe that is truly delicious. The mozzarella in the pizza was also quite memorable -- It's stretchiness was an 11 on a scale of 1-10! The facility feels cozy but actually has a large capacity, including a large banquet room. A recently improved and expanded patio offers a tremendous al fresco dining experience in the summer - including live music. The new bar top and tables are reclaimed Shiawassee County barn wood and are gorgeous. Definitely a great night out! read more

Took 20-25 minutes for drink orders...another 20+ minutes to get them...then had to go find the server 20 minutes later to ask her to please take our orders...got our food 45 minutes after that...had to go find server to request to-go boxes after previously asking 2 times. So disappointing...wife and I aren't planning on going back. One shouldn't have to wait an 60+ minutes to order their food after sitting down (and that was only because I went and found the server) and another 45 minutes till it arrives. read more

Came here for lunch and it is not as good as it once was. The buffet is more limited and there was no pizza option on the buffet. Yep lunch at a place that specializes in pizza and no pizza option. Hmmm... the food on there was good but nothing to write home about. Not sure if it was worth the price. First time there and won't be back! Worst chicken parmesan ever! They did not even use real chicken. It was a frozen prepattied chicken on top of non homemade sauce! So disappointing! Two words: Great service. OK three: Great Effen Service. We held a family function here with 22 of us ages 2-75. And no, I wasn't the oldest. They set us up in their private room and one fantastic waitress ran the entire show. Yep, for 22 ppl. One of my relatives said she saw a busboy type come in once or twice to remove some dirty dishes, but other than the rare occasion this lady was way on top of it. Why oh why in a small town in the middle of Michigan do we get service this great but a party of 4 in most places in Orange County Ca can't get a check in less than 10 minutes? IDK either. The restaurant itself has an almost upscale ambiance, esp for small town America. Everyone was happy with their menu choices and my manicotti was one of the best I have had in any resto. And super steaming hot. My nephew and I split a bottle of Chianti, and me not being a huge fan thought it perfect for Italian food. If you do find yourself in Owosso this must be one of the better choices in the area. And if you live nearby I'm sure you already know that. read more

Nothing but great Italian food. Sunday, out of church early and before Romas were open... walking away from the door and they INVITED us in.. like 45 minutes before they opened. Where else in this world would a business take the time and effort to invite you in 45 minutes before they open on a Sunday? The buffet was GREAT! The pizza rolls (real pizza in a roll form), the cheesy potatoes... salad bar was great... always worth going. We don't eat garbage food so I am used to paying more.... but the buffet route... great food and it was less than I would have paid at applebees for a tv dinner. First, it's not the well known Roma's that we thought it was. It was bought and not renamed so it's kind of deceiving. Second, the food is extremely overpriced for what it is. The flavors are not that great. We got the calzones and it was 90% bread. The sauce was bland and the ingredients were cheap. For two large calzones and bread it was $40. Extremely overpriced and not that good. We will drive to flint for the real Roma's next time. So disappointed. read more

Recently visited on a Friday night because I was looking for some pizza & beer while in Owosso and knew of the restaurant from 40 years ago ... Roma's is better than ever. An inviting decor, friendly & knowledgeable server, and live entertainment set the stage for an enjoyable dining experience. From a large selection of options, I chose the lasagna (rather than the pizza) & salad bar. The salad bar was fine with a variety of topping for the iceberg lettuce & optional fresh spinach as the base. The best part of the salad bar were the mini-portions of Italian bread which were shaped like donut holes. So good and a perfect side for the lasagna. The full portion of lasagna was more than plenty and the taste, temperature, and cheesiness were perfect. I will definitely be back to try the pizza. read more

Love the pizza buffet comes with salad bar. All you can eat fish is wonderful also. They use tasty cheese that actually has flavor. New draft beers are offered on a regular basis and at a fair price. I think I'm the only one who thinks this place is gross! Bathrooms are way too small for a family restaurant & no baby changer! We had the buffet, gross! I was told it was an amazing buffet, it was a salad bar with a couple of sides! I got the "light" chicken cordon bleu.... Roma's is one of the best restaurants in the Owosso-Corunna area. Most of their dishes are very good and their pizza is great! Staff is friendly and efficient, too. They have a very decent wine selection with reasonable prices. We've never been unhappy with a meal we've had there. read more

I wasn't completely sure what to expect before I walked through the door or that I would be even somewhat impressed. But I was enjoyably surprised as soon as I walked inside. Greeted with a friendly smile and led to a clean and even somewhat comfortable booth. My server was both prompt and polite. The salad bar wasn't what I had expected. It was, well, it was a simple salad bar that contained pretty much only salad. The options for things to add to my salad however, we're not only fresh, but rather expansive. At first glance I wasn't impressed, but by the time I made it back to my booth, I wasn't disappointed. On to the main course. With the slight help and recommendations of my server, who was very helpful, I ordered the prime rib. It made its way to the table pretty quickly, it's presentation was very nice, and for taste... Phenom. It was most definitely melt in your mouth. Worth every penny. I must admit, I think this place earned the best tip I have left just about anywhere in quite a while. I am without a doubt, looking forward to returning and exploring many other items on their menu... And even that was not super great, more like what you would get in the school cafeteria. The flavors are a bit too strong, I don't know how to explain it, but the sauce on the pizza was so rich I could barely eat 2 pieces, took the rest home and no one in my house would eat it and they love pizza!
