We ordered carpet through Home Depot and Pedro and his team did a great job installing it yesterday. They installed the new carpet in our 3,000 square ft house and did it in one day which was amazing! They worked so hard and arrived at 8am and stayed till 8pm to make sure the job got done which we appreciated. They were friendly and wore masks the whole time. I would definitely use Romanoff Renovations again in the future for carpet install. read more

If I can give these people zero stars I would. We have been treated horribly by them. They refuse to do the work they were paid to do. We have been living without floors for three weeks because they keep making excuses. This morning was suppose to be the day AGAIN and we received a call an hour and half before they were suppose to be here. Worst customer service i have experienced in years! Both from this company and from Home Depot! I would strongly urge that people do not purchase carpet from Home Depot or use this company for anything. They walked into the house with a strong desire to not do the job. They looked for every excuse possible to get out of it and eventually did. The house was completely torn up and they left saying they could not do the job. The free installation from Home Depot ended up costing us $650 and a terrible day. And now reading the other reviews on this company i feel like i should have expected this to happen, and why does Home Depot continue to contract with these people? LOOK ELSEWHERE!! Beware! If I could leave zero stars, I would! These punks are absolute pigs, sh*t all over the toilet, wall and baseboards in my son's bathroom while installing new carpeting that was purchased through Home Depot. They trashed our baseboards, our walls and didn't pull the carpets straight. The carpeting tacks puncture our feet and make them bleed. Closet doors don't close after their horrible install. They installed the carpet on the stairs first and then tromped up and down the stairs all day in the rain with their nasty boots. Tiles cracked, scratched and ruined. It was supposed to be a two day job, they ruined our home in less than 3 hours. What a damn joke. We should have gone with the competition DO. NOT. USE. THEM! We Have filed a claim with both Romanoff and Home Depot. HORRIBLE and FOUL people!! I would like to do to their home what they did to ours but I can't imagine being that nasty and disgusting. SH*T ALL OVER IN YOUR OWN HOMES! TRASH AND RUIN YOUR OWN HOMES! They claim to be "contractors" but I doubt they are even licensed. The previous review was entirely about the companies customer service and lack of involvement. Today the guys came over to install the new floor and did an amazing job. I am happy with the way it looks and they were pretty thorough. Cleaned up after themselves and there wasn't a problem with me checking the work. Very friendly and approachable. So thank you to the 2 gents! I am definitely sending a positive survey about them. Id give negative stars if I could! Scheduled my flooring installation months in advance. Today was the installation day and the window for the installer to show up was 9am to 11am. 11am rolls around and noone. So I call the help line and they tell me they will send him a message and see where he's at. An hour later, no word, no phone call to me, telling me what's going on. Noon rolls around and I call back to get an update.  They still haven't heard anything and they will let the manager know. A little after 1pm I call again to see what's going on. Manager is unavailable and they say he will call me back,  but the rep on the phone says the installer is no longer with the company. I'm not sure why they didn't let me, as a customer know that and kept me waiting all morning. No phone calls,  no emails, nothing.  I reach out again at 3pm waiting to see when the reschedule will be, leaving the previous call with someone that said they will call me soon with a for sure update on a schedule for installation tomorrow. At 3pm, no one called me back,  so I call then. The rep on the phone tells me the manager leaves at 3pm, and she sent him a message asking him to call me back. Mind you, I've called several times by now and no manager response. The woman on the phone told me it was rescheduled for tomorrow but she doesn't have a time.  I asked to file a formal complaint.  No information given, except to do the survey after the installation! So I have to call all day to get any information,  with no manager support and no way to file a complaint and no time frame for the next day installation. I've taken a day off for this,  having to do it again the day after is frustrating because I lose money waiting on someone all day. read more

I would not recommend doing any business with the Romanoff Renovations office out of Tacoma, WA which receives most if not all their contracts through Home Depot. It started with the leadership sending one man to do a job of tiling 1200 square feet in five days. By midway point, you could see the deterioration of the quality of work. I sent pictures and a letter to Romanoff and Home Depot with my concerns and received no response after five days and once I sent another email to follow up I finally received a response. Romanoff scheduled an inspection in which Jeff, the field operations manager showed up and appeared to be disrupted by coming out and acted very unprofessional and did not even bring any tools with him. I was under the impression it would be a complete inspection of the job lasting up to two hours as described by their person who scheduled the appointment. I walked him through the house and his words were "What you got?" or "What else you got?" so we didn't get a warm feeling our concerns would be properly addressed or resolved. I stressed several times on the disbelief of only having one person do such a large job and there was no quality control from neither Romanoff Renovations nor Home Depot during or after the project was complete. I also mentioned that none even bothered to call me to address my concerns to resolve the issues at hand and asked that someone in management call me with the outcome of the inspection. Jeff looked me in the eye and said "I will be calling you with the update myself." Two days later a receptionist calls to schedule an appoint to fix one tile and I responded that Jeff was supposed to be calling me with the update and I'm waiting on him to contact me. The receptionist relayed I refused to schedule an appointment so I went back to Home Depot to resolve this issue. I called back to Romanoff Renovations and requested to speak to Jeff's supervisor twice and was told Jerry was out of the office and he is very responsive and will call back soon, I never received a call from him. Jeff called me to conduct a reinspection with a Home Depot manager which I had to cancel last minute due to a delay in my daughter's flight arrival due to the Canadian fires and rescheduled the inspection for August 25th 2017 as I thought. On Wednesday August 23, 2017 I called Romanoff Renovations to confirm the time of the inspection and they had submitted it as an install and I corrected them saying it was supposed to be an inspection done by Jeff and a manger from Home Depot and the receptionist said she would have to pass this to Jeff and he would call me the next day due to being gone for the day. I received no call from them on Thursday and was expecting Jeff and the Manager from Home Depot to show up for the inspection on Friday August 25th, 2017 to have an installer come and say he was here to install one tile. We explained to him that we weren't prepared for that work and had company over and were expecting an inspection. I called back to Home Depot and continue to work with them to resolve our issue but without this Company. Save yourself the headache and hire professionals that will do it right the first time! Not a good company. I had to have two installs as the carpet for two rooms had holes in them. They took off my closet doors and did not put them back on at the end, even losing some hardware to reinstall the closet doors. Second, it was like pulling teeth to get a second appointment for install as they kept calling a number that was not mine, even though both the person who had that other number and myself kept telling them it was the wrong number. read more

This company kept us informed from the beginning. They sent e-mails and called to make sure we were ready for our big day. I got a call the day before from the company making sure we understood the prep work. They sent a video on it. I had a few questions about exactly what was covered and when that person couldn't answer he immediately got his boss who came on the phone and assured me all the closets were covered. They arrived as scheduled, worked hard the entire time and did a GREAT job. The two technicians were friendly and eager to do the job. Very professional. They cleaned up and took every bit of debris with them and then some! We had a bag of trash from a prior project that I told them they could use and they took it away whether they used it or not. I saw no sign of any damage to anything like baseboards or walls and all the seams are completely invisible. The joinings at other rooms are very nice and professionally done as well. And, this was all at no charge my friends through Home Depot. Home Depot picked a good partner on this one! read more

They called the day before to confirm the time, and showed up on time. The installers were pleasant, neat and masked. Unfortunately, they hadn't allowed enough time to complete the installation that day, but another team showed up first thing the next morning. We got off to a rocky start thanks to Home Depot sending torn ripped carpet to our home for installation. Our first installation crew from Romanoff did an OK job but they could only install the pad due to the damaged carpet. There were a few ripples and bubbles in the pad but they were corrected by the second crew today. Because we just had a pad and no carpet we could not move our furniture back into our three bedrooms and a hallway, so our lives have been in disarray for many weeks. But today after waiting 71 DAYS, breaking one toe on displaced furniture and having several nervous breakdowns we got our carpet installed!! Today's crew did an excellent job, cleaned-up after installation and helped us move the heaviest pieces of furniture back into our rooms. Our recommendation to Romanoff is to open and check all carpet when received so damaged carpet is not delivered to your customers. Thank you Romanoff, Pepe and William we love our new carpet. An update that I worked with Claudia at Romanoff to correct the initial installation. The first problem was that the original installers destroyed my baseboards. Claudia worked with me to get new baseboards ordered and new installers to come out and install them. The new installers were Taras and Yuriy and, as they installed the new baseboards, I discovered many places where the original installers had done a subpar job. The vinyl planks (which were only about 2 months old at the time) were breaking and coming unlocked all over the house. Claudia again worked with me to get new planks ordered (at no cost to me). Almost the whole job had to be redone. Taras and Yuriy came out again to do the reinstall. They did an amazing job, they were quick, reliable and on time. The work seems to be of much higher quality, there is a huge difference in the way it feels as I walk around on it, and I am hopeful that I'll have no further problems. Unfortunately the whole process took over 3 months. Some of that delay was because I had chosen a flooring that had to be special ordered but a lot of it was due to the staff I was working with at Home Depot. I was very frustrated at times but Claudia was patient and empathetic and Taras and Yuriy were friendly and easy to work with. Ordered new carpet and sheet vinyl from Home Depot who subbed to Romanoff Renovations. Carpet installation was very satisfactory. The vinyl installer was a different story. He put a gouge in the vinyl, left big piles of trash, broke some quarter round and installed the wrong size in the empty spots. He did not rehookup the water to the toilet, washing machine and refrigerator. They agreed to fix these problems. So far, 3 appointments have been missed. No calls, no explanations. It's been 3 months so far. To make matters stupider, the installer called wanting to pick up his shop vac that he had left. He had not been informed of any problems. I'm keeping his shop vac hostage. Do not go to Home Depot for this work. I am boycotting them. read more

We purchased hardwood flooring from Home Depot for four rooms in our home. We also purchased carpeting for our living room area. The first two rooms were done by an installer from Romanoff, who worked really hard and did a great job. I would give him a 9/10. This was last November. My only complaint was the transition between the new floor and the tile in the water closet. We have a pocket sliding door there, and the transition piece provided by Home Depot was too thick, so it couldn't be installed. As a result, we have had a gap between the wood and the tile about an inch wide and 3/4" deep for 10 months. Another issue with Romanoff is the lack of communication. We had two more rooms put into wood floors, and the installers were fantastic! 10/10 for them. They came when they said they would and worked hard to give us a great product. Then we had the living room carpet installed. The carpet was fine, but there was a very noticeable seam line where the carpet pieces were joined together. We noticed it after the installers left (they were an hour late with no call to let us know they would be late). One of them spoke no English and the other was barely understandable. Anyway, we called the Oregon HQ of Romanoff and complained about it. The very nice lady said she would contact our local Romanoff management in Everett, Wa and they should call me the next day. We waited 3 hours for a call that never came. We called the Everett office and requested a service manager come out to check out our concerns the following Wednesday between 12 - 3 pm. No service manager arrived, no phone call to explain why or to apologize. At 4 pm, the same installers showed up and wanted to see what our issue was. I let them look at it, and the lead guy started using a pair of flat scissors to cut the pile. I told him to stop what he was doing, that I wanted the service manager to come here and give us an idea of how to fix the problems. Today, I called the Everett office and spoke to the service manager, and explained why we were upset. I felt they had been disrespectful when they did not call us as promised. And then we waited through lunch fully expecting him to arrive. I asked him why he hadn't shown up and he said he didn't have it on his schedule and didn't even know he was supposed to be here. He also said the installers were subcontracted and usually they are given the opportunity to fix any issues they may have created, which explains why they showed up at our door, instead of the service manager. But again, the specter of lack of communication about who was to arrive and when is at the forefront of our dissatisfaction. read more

We were scheduled through Home Depot's installers (Romonoff) our hardwood floors. Initially communication stated not all product to install was available per Home Depot's ordering. However I let them know that I believed all was available and ready and that we had the hardwood acclimated a week prior to arrival. This communication was the day before installation of Thursday, July 16th. Romanoff and Home Depot re-communicated and installation went off as planned. There was a lot of texts, emails and phone calls prior to installation. The two installers wore masks, were prompt, responded positively to our condo security requirements and cleaned up reasonably. During the installation the installers were pleasant and communicated any concerns for decision making to our satisfaction. The installers lead by Mr. Taras P. and worked efficiently. I was impressed by their work ethic and results, I would be pleased to recommend Romanoff Renovations. read more

I'm not going to write my 3 day horror story out on here other than to say we stayed at home for 3 days for appointments the installer kept setting and not showing up for with NO phone calls to tell us anything, NO installers, NO carpet, and since my husband and I are disabled we had our furniture outside for over a week waiting for this carpet. Then you get stuck in CLUELESS customer limbo hell because Home Depot gives you the, "well were not the installers, call the installers" even though we have called the installers over and over again, and if they happen to pick up the phone you get the run around. After waiting several months to even get our turn for Home D carpet and after 3 days of living hell and untold stress we went to Abby Carpets, ordered nicer carpet for only a little more money and they installed 2 DAYS later!! We've had no response to emails, scheduling challenges, the carpet installation has many issues and it was a nightmare to get someone back to fix even a little of it. Michael Meck the manager, guarantees 100% satisfaction but does not respond to your phone calls or emails. We are not satisfied with our carpet instillation but will deal with it because it's more of a headache to get help at this place. I'd read some really horrible reviews and was very tentative about Romanoff installing my carpet. Could not be more pleasantly surprised! Was given plenty of confirmations, emails and texts, confirming the installation date and a window of 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Installers Martin and Carlos arrived at 8:15 a.m. and set to work. They were organized, courteous and efficient - and the finished product was perfect. Took the old carpet away, did a super clean up job and left at 10:00 a.m. Martin and Carlos are tops in my book and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them! read more

Terrible company. People should be warned. Home Depot must not care what happens to their customers who buy flooring from them with guaranteed installment. Waited several weeks and paid extra to have furniture moved then they didn't show up in the morning as they had scheduled. Waited til almost 4 when someone shows up in a,dilapidated school bus then instead of apologizing says "so..you want me to leave?" I admittedly was scared when I read the reviews after being assigned our contractor through Home Depot. However, setting up our appointment was easy, the carpet came in early so they called us and asked if we wanted to move our install date up and we happily said yes! We got a call 30 min before they arrived that they were on their way. Our installers were quick, efficient (took a short lunch break and worked hard from beginning to end) and friendly. They were sweet to our dog, worked with my husband to figure out how to meet the carpet with the vinyl plank he was laying, and installed flawlessly! They cleaned up after themselves (swept and vacuumed) and were in and out in a day! Thanks again. (We live in the Tacoma area) read more

Wish there was a choice of zero or negative star(s) because this branch of Romanoff Renovations, out of Everett, is absolutely horrible. First, wait 5-6 weeks for install of Pergo XP in a single, small room. I call to confirm the morning before and was told installer would be at my house between 8-11 a.m. the next day. At 4:30 pm, the same day of the confirmation, I get a call saying the installer would not be able to do job, caught up on another job he started on Monday (my job to start on Thurs.). Well, maybe the one star is appropriate because at least I received the call ( I feel so very sorry for the poor employee having to pass on bad news ). Asked for and received call next day from a manager, named Marcus, telling me that the earliest the installer could be at my house was on Sunday, or possibly later in the following week. After 5-6 weeks of waiting, I was willing to take the Sunday install; room already stripped and clean, ready for install. Installer arrived at 9 a.m. on Sunday, nice enough man. Then the proverbial snow job of "the little Mrs."... floor is not level enough for install, vinyl will have to be removed first to level subfloor, vinyl might have asbestos, will take a week or so to get the test results back, etc. Can you say $$$??? Like another reviewer stated, it's not like we couldn't do the job, but we just didn't want to. We did the research on DIY install from Pergo, talked to many employees at our local Home Depot concerning do's/don'ts, etc. Long story short, we began install that afternoon and had the room done in no time! HUGE KUDOS to our local Home Depot! No questions asked or excuses made and we received ALL of our install money back. DO NOT USE Romanoff Renovations! Home Depot should be ashamed of themselves for partnering with this company. First they cancelled the day before our carpet installation and I had to miss a day of work for nothing. Then on the actual day of install the three installers showed up and all smelt like they had been smoking weed on the way to my house. During their lunch break they all went and ate in their work van on my property and smoked more weed. I noticed when I went outside to go get more firewood. They made my house smell terrible the rest of the day. Then when they were finished they said they couldn't vacuum up all the looses threads of carpet because their vacuum broke. Of course this was after they moved all my furniture back inside from being in the garage. This meant that I had to go and move all the furniture myself so I could vacuum up all the carpet and staple pieces they left everywhere. Do not use Home Depot or this company for any carpet purchases. read more

Horrible service!!! I had a great experience buying or laminate flooring from Home Depot and this is the company that is hired to install the flooring. First of all I had to wait for 6 weeks before they could schedule installation but they INSISTED that the flooring be deliver ASAP and just take up space in our house. Then when the installation date finally arrived (we had an 8am-11am window) I get a call at 7:50am stating that they have to cancel! We had spent hours the night before clearing out the rooms per their request in the installation confirmation for them to just cancel last minute. Not professional at all. Read the reviews of these guys beforehand and honestly I was terrified. Overall, the experience was sub-par so take it how you will. The carpet was installed well except for one spot where a carpet strip spike sticks out. I get that that happens from time to time so I didn't blame them. Overall i'm happy with the finished product. What drove me absolutely insane was that they went in and out of the house multiple times in their shoes and stomped all over the new carpet with their dirty boots. PUT ON SHOE COVERS PLEASE!! I paid $1,500 for this carpet and when the own workers are trucking in mud and dirt I couldn't help but get angry. That should not be optional. Another thing was they took of my trim and put it on all wonky. They also gave me a window of 12-4 and showed up at 4 so they were at my house until very late. So their customer service is lacking. I purchased carpet from my local Home Depot on September 14. An employee came and measured and gave me an estimate. I paid for the installation and carpet on September 19 to be installed on October 3-4. I received several emails with confirmation and tips to clear my house before the installers came. On October 3rd, I cleared my schedule, took off work and waited for installers who never showed up. They called and said they were running behind and over scheduled for the day. They would be at my house on the 4th. 1 day wasted! The next morning, I again cleared my schedule, took off work and waited. When the installers did not show up, I called my local Home Depot, who sent me to another department, who directed me to call Romanoff Flooring directly. This started my day of making several phone calls, with random employees who all had different excuses for why my installers were not at my house doing the job. Finally at 2 pm, one installer came, looked around my house and said there was no way he could do this job himself. He left to find help, and returned at 7pm to tell me he could not. Day 2 wasted! I was called at 8pm by Ginger from Romanoff Flooring, who stated that 2 installers would be at my house at 8am and they would get the job completed. On October 5, my house is still completely torn apart, beds disassembled, shelves cleared, items boxed up, etc. I cleared my families schedule for Saturday and we waited. At 10:15, 2 installers finally showed up and finally began working. Around 2pm a 3rd installer joined them and they all worked until 7. They finished 2 bedrooms and a hallway and placed the furniture back in the kid's bedrooms, so that they at least had a place to sleep. They promised to come back Monday morning, October 7 to complete the job. It is now October 7 at 9:30am and I am still waiting. I have once again cleared my schedule and taken a day off of work. M This was supposed to be a 2 day inconvenience and now it has turned into a 5 day nightmare! read more

I'd give this company zero stars but it won't let me. I Set up this install through Home Depot Bothell about 7 weeks ago. It's been a nightmare ever since. We planned to be out of town for the install so that it would be quick and easy. My phone number was listed as the point of contact for entry to the home. Each bedroom was completely empty, except for our mattress and box springs that were stood up on the wall (per the website), a crib that was stripped down (per the website), and a Day bed that was stripped down (per the website). Install was supposed to occur yesterday with Jaime (leaving off his last name for privacy). He showed up to a vacant home and called a number that wasn't mine (Romanoff confirmed he did not call me). He then left. I then get an email notification saying that they showed up and couldn't get access. I called the company (Romanoff) who wasn't sure how the number he called was on my profile that they had for me. After several calls later, they rescheduled the install for this morning between 8-10am. I called at 11:30am to say that no one has shown up. The operator told me that they had a miscommunication with the scheduler and installed and that the installer would arrive between 1-2pm. Jamie showed up at 1:30pm as promised, but says he can't install because of the mattress, crib and Day bed. I also have painters at the house who gladly lend a helping hand and move the furniture for him. However, Jamie says he is still going to leave because he doesn't have help! So once again, I call Romanoff who give me the runaround saying that they will come sometime next week when they have an opening. I explain that this isn't acceptable as I have an infant (remember the crib?) and if everything is taken apart, where are we supposed to sleep? The only remedy I can think of is to have them pay for a hotel for the night or reimburse me for the price of the hotel through a credit off of the total carpet install price. I ask to speak with the manager (you only ever speak with the scheduler) but the scheduler tells me that we (the customer) aren't allowed to speak with the manager (apparently his name is Michael). So here I am, calling another carpet installer to send out help for Jaime. It's going to cost me roughly an additional $1000 to send Jaime help for the job. The best part? When Jaime told me over the phone that he was going to leave, he said that him leaving without finishing the job "wasn't his problem". This has been a terrible experience. I would steer clear of this company and The Home Depot for carpet install. No effort has been made to fix any of the issues. read more

I called the second day starting at 10am and no one could tell me want was happening. I asked to talk to a manager and no manager would talk to me. We had Home Depot carpet installed in our bedroom. Waited the 2 mos. for install. 2 guys came who barely spoke English. No fuss/no muss, they were out of there in 4 hours. As soon as the taillights were out of the driveway and I was vacuuming up, stepped on something hard and crusty at a seam. It was also yellow. Immediately called and the installers couldn't be reached. Screwed around with the no call backs but after a couple days got an appointment to have somebody come back. It was the same installers, who never told me what was on the carpet, but cut it off with some little scissors. The biggest gripe is that they gouged the crap out of all the baseboards in the bedroom and closet. This is stained wood so I can't exactly touch it up, only replace it. I ordered new carpet service from Home Depot, but Home Depot contract with Romanoff Renovation installer. After they done my carpet and left I look around and saw they Gouged, chip out almost every inch of all the baseboards, also doors frame too. Took me 2 days to sand and touch up all. I should have checked the reviews! The people at this company could care less about their jobs, let alone the customers that they are supposed be working for. After waiting for two months for "free" installation of our carpet, Romanoff called at 4:56 pm the evening before the install. They left some rambling message saying that they didn't have a crew to do the work, and could not keep the appointment. BUT , they were "working" on it and to call tomorrow and speak with any of their representatives. After a few unanswered messages left with their voicemail, I finally spoke to someone. Nobody seemed to know anything about missing our appointment at first, much less rescheduling the work. Then it was "oh, the installer had an emergency come up". So I ask, so you don't have any other installers available? "I don't know". When can you reschedule our installation? "I don't know". So you can't tell me when we can be rescheduled? "I will have to check into it and get back to you". " I will let you know by 5pm today". Keep in mind it is 9am at this time and I have already left messages before someone picked up the phone. After waiting until 2pm or so I decided to just have Home Depot refund my money. In the mean time Romanoff calls and says the earliest they can schedule me is over a week and change out. Really? after your screw up? Really? Home Depot refunded my money with no problems. ANYTHING that Home Depot uses Romanoff for in home services avoid like the plague!! read more

We bought carpet for our home at Home Depot in Bothell WA. They contracted the installation to Romanoff Renovations. This company removed the old carpet and then chucked it in bundles out the 2nd floor windows where it apparently rolled down the roof, crushing and dislodging the gutters. So we now have a bent gutter disconnected from the downspout and its been like that for 5 weeks. Romanoff Renovations came out to assess the damage, do not deny responsibility but insist that I need to find a contractor to fix the issue myself. Actually they require that I obtain multiple bids and then submit those to them, allowing selection presumably of the cheapest bid. I am astonished that Romanoff Renovations would seek to place the onus on their aggrieved customer to manage the process. Terrible customer service. I'd strongly suggest avoiding Home Depot for flooring needs since the installation will be contracted out to Romanoff Renovations. read more

ALERT TO EVERYONE !!! I purchased tiles from Home Depot in Everett and Romanoff Renovations was assigned for installation. The first schedule was on Jan 2nd 20018 then I received a cancellation phone call. They have cancelled 3 times since the first installing schedule on Jan 2nd 2018. Until now Feb 8th 2018 the manager Michael still doesn't have a solid installing schedule for us. This company can't keep their people to work for them. It's very frustrated when they called 1 day before to cancel your schedule. Home Depot should stop using this company as their installation contractor. read more
