I would like to tell you my experience, and hopefully, this review will help you to choose a…read morecompetent and ethical surgeon. I consulted Dr.Patel in Aug 2022, I was not happy with the appearance of my implant and I wanted to improve it, I had an implant on tooth # 8, and his recommendation was to redo the whole process again, meaning take my implant out, and perform a bone graft after the gum healed he then would install a new implant, providing me with a better results. These procedures take time and are very costly. I decided to trust his judgment and do the procedures. He took my implant out and did a bone graft, I paid for a retainer, $300+ retainer, and they told me that they would fix it if the retainer broke during my treatment. Unfortunately, my retainer broke, I called and told them, and they said that they would get back to me, I called again because it was hurting my gum and it was my front tooth, and they ended up telling me that they couldn't replace it, I was confused and I told them they would not fix or provide me with a new one, to seek another provider because the person who made mine was no longer working with them. I was disappointed with how they dealt with this matter, I paid them for a retainer and because they did not have a person to make retainers, they told me to seek elsewhere. The second thing I needed to deal with was insurance, they submitted the wrong code and I had to go through an intense process with the insurance for them to pay for my bone graft. I went in for my implant, I paid the balance due that day before going inside, and they applied anesthesia, I was waiting and the secretary went in and told me a balance was due from the previous bone graft, I was confused and I said the insurance should cover, they said I need to pay or they could not proceed, this person already applied anesthesia and they just now telling me about a balance I had, I ended up paying around $2000k more that day. Later on, the insurance paid me after I found out it was their fault for submitting the wrong code. The third and final horrifying experience was the result of the bone graft, this surgeon permanently damaged my gum tissues leaving me looking like a monster, I am beyond traumatized by the results, I consulted two other gum specialists paying out of pocket and they told me my gum tissue was gone permanently. Dr. Patel initially said he would cover any cost to repair and offered to refund me what I paid out of pocket, I provided him with the estimate and this Dr. ghosted me, yes you read this right, ghosted me, when I called the office, they said to have a lawyer contact him. Please seek another provider, Dr. Patel ruined my smile and now I have to seek other treatments to repair the damage he caused, and on top of that, he is a liar who lacks ethical standards.

When I came back there was zero judgement, everyone was so kind and explained everything with great detail. Dr. Garcia removed my wisdom teeth along with the help of a nurse, both were very supportive, kind and knowledgeable. I definitely would recommend this dentist if you're looking for a friendly, kind and judgement free zone!

My Experience With This Practice…read more Dr. Amir was the surgeon who performed my wisdom tooth procedure. I had all four of my wisdom teeth scheduled to be removed at this practice. I paid for all four extractions, and my insurance was also billed for all four. I also paid the required copay for each tooth. I underwent general anesthesia and went through the recovery and pain believing that all four teeth had been removed. After the procedure, I was told by Dr. Amir and the staff that the procedure had been completed. At my follow-up appointment, I was again led to believe that everything had been taken care of. Later, I visited my general dentist, who took X-rays and informed me that one of my wisdom teeth was still present and had not been removed. I returned to the practice and brought this to Dr. Amir's attention. He apologized and asked me to contact the staff regarding a resolution. After contacting the staff, I was reimbursed only the $136 copay associated with the tooth that had not been removed. What makes this even more frustrating is that because of this mishap, I now have to go through another extraction and another round of recovery, pain, and inconvenience--something I should not have had to go through if the procedure had been completed correctly the first time. My concern is that I was charged for a procedure that was not fully performed, my insurance was billed for all four teeth, and I was not informed that one tooth remained until my general dentist discovered it through X-rays. I am extremely disappointed with how this was handled, particularly because I underwent general anesthesia and the risks and recovery associated with the procedure based on the understanding that all four teeth were being removed

I told her, "I apologize, my handwriting is a little..." as I paused, she proceeded to tell me "Illegible?", grabbed the form from my hand and turned around without even a glance to file it somewhere. I swear I about lost my shit right then and there but I held out and everything was fine after that. Gutmann himself is awesome. Very down to earth old guy that wore pink all stars. I thought that was a great touch. My mouth hurts, and I can't vouch for the quality of work because it's not every day I get teeth extracted.. Seems ok though. Weirdly, I did have a cut in my lip when I got home, seemingly from my jaw collapsing at some point during the surgery and my tooth seemed to have impacted my lower lip. Can't say for sure what happened as I was out cold, but it healed fine. I'm guessing my bite plate was removed incorrectly and my jaw just clamped shut on my lip.. Possible nurse inexperience? Dunno.. Equipment is up to date and the place is a little run down looking, but you know.. There are worse places and I'm sure he needs to pay the rent, too. Expensive? Eh, dunno. How much mouth surgery are you really gonna have in life? I'll pay a little more for an eccentric Doctor, they always seem a little OCD which in this case may be a good thing. Edit: mouth turned out nice, maybe even "dashing" could describe it.
