Roma is my new go to place..I go on a whim in fact twice this week and I havent had to make a reservation but since I am alone its not been a problem. I had a beautiful salad with bolognese the first night and today I had the lasagna. Both so delicious.. The lasagna is soft and very creamy and baked to perfection. The same for the bolognese. I drink a lot of iced tea and i love that they keep my glass filled up the entire time I visit. I love Angelo, the very creative chef! I always feel welcome when I dine alone and they see to my every need..Service is excellent and now I know the valet parker and i really like him. I missed Anthony today my server from the other night. I highly recommend Roma to anyone who likes authentic italian foods and desserts also great prices! read more

We decided to try this place but boy were in for a nasty welcome. I had made reservations a day earlier requesting outside seating. First of all when we came in I noticed none of the patio seating was spaced apart at all. Then the host tried to seat us close to the staircase even though there were other tables open. When we asked him if we could switch he was rude and said "I'm doing you a favor and trying to accommodate you". My husband and I were in for a shock especially with his tone. Went to Roma with my family on a weeknight, there happened to be a big group which was tasting wine and having dinner. This then led to a very long wait time for us to order, for us to receive our appetizers, and for us to receive the main course. I got the carbonara, it was a solid 4/10, I do not recommend it. I was there for about two hours, I'm not complaining about that though. The space was very good, it gave us good time to talk about whatever we wanted and to enjoy each others company. Although, when you go to a restaurant you expect the service to be good, quick, and for your food to taste good. The menu is very small, and I believe that if a restaurant has a small menu, every choice should be at least a 9/10. I give it two stars, since the space was good. This is an update from our previous review. I'd like to start by saying how gracious Shanon was to invite us back to wow us this time around. When we first came in, the charming hostess told us we had a spot reserved, which we were not expecting, very courteous of Roma. Our service throughout the entire evening was delightful, the server was very attentive to our needs and made nice recommendations. This time around I ordered the squid ink seafood pasta, which I would highly recommend! Very nice. My guest had the lasagna which she enjoyed much more than what we had last visit. Was really looking forward to eating here. Took the family on Friday night at last minute and had no problem getting a table. Nice decor but the restaurant was so loud that I gave up trying to converse with our family. I even got a headache from the noise. I'm not an old man who hates hip places with noise but it really was loud due to the brick wall and hardwood floor. The meatballs were great as were the salad. I loved my cioppino (Italian seafood stew) which was packed full of shrimp, mussels, clams, calamari and delicious. I would go back for that. My daughter had the octopus which she loved and was very tender and well done. My wife was not that happy with her smoked gnocchi dish which was covered with smoked Gouda cheese and totally overpowered the gnocchi. Nor did I like the carbonara which had a funky flavor likely from the pork belly which may have been old. How you mess up carbonara I don't know. Also the deserts were uninspired. They raved about their homemade tiramisu which was meh. I may have a hard time getting my family of women to go back with just ok desserts and the ear piercing loud noise but on the other hand that cioppino was good enough to return soon read more

The atmosphere was very inviting as I set high expectations for the restaurant. I became a little upset at the fact i wanted a glass of wine, but never got offered at the table only my sister in law and her husband. As they took my wife and I's glasses away. Then poured wine for my sister in law in which hadn't asked for a glass so she slid it over to me because i was the one actually wanting it. As well as in the middle of our meal a gentleman came passed and took our glasses away leaving us very confused as we had got a bottle. They brought bread to the table in which was cold.. I expected it to be warm and fresh , but instead got cold and crumbly. The olive oil with garlic they brought for dipping was delicious though. My house salad i received was good as well and plated nicely. As the main course came out is when i became a little more disappointed as i got the fettuccine bolognese and it was not what i expected. It smelled like spaghetti o's as well as tasted like it. I will give them credit for the pasta as they seemed fresh and homemade, but the sauce was very disappointing. Overall, I would say being new they have some kinks to work out. Personally i will not be back from my experience. read more

This is a neighborhood gem. The pasta is amazing. My favorite is the bolognese. The arancini are big and yummy. Everyone who works there is just so lovely. We're in there at least ever couple weeks. The Veal Scaloppine SaltImbocca was tasty but lacked presentation, the asparagus served with it was withered and dried out! My Chicken Parmigiana appeared it had a swim in the deep fat fryer! Tasted oily! Not good! Hardly any tomato sauce! Not your typical Chicken Parmigiana! No flavor! I had to wait Ten minutes for Parmesan cheese! Plus ask the Hostess to get some black pepper! She was not sure which mill was pepper or salt? The servers need better training! It's not their fault! But the Owner needs to pay more attention! My husband asked for a side of roast potatoes, but arrived when he had finished his meal! We were seated in a back room, as the first seating was a small table in the middle of the restaurant! This restaurant lacks Italian ambiance! The walls are practically bare! Honestly the owner needs to take a trip to Rome! And experience a true gourmet Italian experience! We decided to let it go! as we had read some good reviews! My gut told me as we walked through the restaurant, there was something quite not right!
