First.. their website is the easiest and most user friendly site for an Arabic bakery I've seen to date. They use the "toast" pay system. Only negative is the site doesn't let you enter a future pickup date, only gives the "asap" option. You'll have to call in future pickup orders... there might be a language barrier over the phone so be warned. Now to the important part... EVERYTHING was warm and delicious. I ordered a medium sized order. I ordered Fatayer (appetizer size finger food). A few dozen meet, cheese, pizza, spinach pies. I have done a disservice to myself by not spending time in Dearborn; the owner was such a kind man and I got to try the bbq chicken pizza and it was nothing short of spectacular. I love NY style pizza and this was a giant slice with perfect crust. Jets bbq chicken is good, this was special! The pizza was light and even after that giant slice you don't feel stuffed. Wow! It was so good we went back twice during our short visit to Dearborn. In my hunt for the best NY style pizza in the metro area I came across Roma and they are the winners. We have ordered from them a couple times and every time has been great. My only complaint is that I wished they were open later and closer to me. Fantastic pizza. The cheese is perfect. I plan on ordering a calzone next time. Writing this as I finish devouring this slice of pizza deliciousness. I came here to get their cheese pizza - by the slice - New York style and I can safely say that it was worth it. Crispy edges, nice well done crust, not too oily or floppy, high quality cheese and marinara sauce. This is how a New York pizza ought to be. By far..... the most underrated pizza place in Dearborn! Best part is they also serve halal toppings. Now I'm not much of a halal pepperoni gal or a lover of it, but from Roma's, I'll take it any day. I went for the classic cheese/margherita pizza and let me tell, I was blown away! Today was my donut day at work. Instead of donuts, I wanted to get meat, cheese and spinach pies. My drive to work from Roma Bakery was about 15 minutes. Because the pies were so fresh and right out of the oven, when everyone tried them at work, they were all like "whys it hot." Which is a really good thing because no one likes hot food. Their service was so welcoming and quick, there was a quick delay in their machine but the man behind the counter was nice and apologetic knowing I was in hurry but I didn't mind at all, the baker also asked me if he wanted them in halves..saved me the time of doing that at work! Everyone LOVED them, especially the cheese ones, "like a pancake with cheese." In a matter of 5 minutes, everyone was grabbing more. This is LITERALLY the best pizza I've ever had no joke. I get the veggie and it is LOADED with roasted vegetables. Everything's fresh and so consistent. I usually avoid gluten because it really bothers my stomach but this dough doesn't bother me AT ALL. After getting the veggie pizza here, I tried getting it at other places closer by our house but nothing compared to Roma. The name may be confusing for some people because as far as I have seen, Roma specializes in Arab breads and pastry not Italian. I LOVE Roma Bakery. I probably go here once a week for cheese and basil pastries. It is always hopping on Sundays with people waiting for their baked Zataar to-order but they always have a selection of pre-made items in the deli counter. I prefer Roma's Arab savory pastry over Shatilia or anywhere else because the bread is soft. They're also pretty cheap; I get 2 dozen cheese pastries for 10 dollars. I've seen some places charge a dollar and above per pastry! They have a few tables and chairs if you want to hang out and eat in but it is usually a carry-out joint. They also have some cold cases with various sodas, juices and teas. There is also a small grocery case for yogurt and labneh (usually eaten with the zataar or whatever you want!) Sundays and Holidays are always PACKED but unless you're ordering the zataar the wait is not usually long. read more

There must be new owners because the food is AH-MAZING! Batata Harra (cilantro, pepper and garlic potatoes) are the best in dearborn. Their brick oven pizza is in my top 5 of Detroit pizzas. Crispy, thin, just the right hint of sour in the dough and the best made from scratch pizza sauce. And no part skim milk cheese here. Now, let me get to my favorite. The zaatar. The only other bakeries I'd go to in dearborn for zaatar is Zeit wa Zaatar and that place on greenfield next to Dairy Queen. Roma's is probably better. I have a longstanding relationship with Roma Bakery. We'd go there for fresh baked pepperoni rolls at 50 cents a pop after bowling at Holiday Lanes across the street. Heck, my Dad used to work nearby back in the late 50's so it's been around forever, and has seen dramatic change in the neighborhood. Holiday Lanes is now a Muslim community center, but Roma is still putting out pepperoni rolls and a variety of other baked goods on a daily basis. They're more expensive (obviously, damn inflation...) and the style is different than in the past. I liked the old ones better, which was more of a small loaf of Italian bread with pepperoni. The current version is much flatter, with some sauce (sauce?!) inside. There's a variety of styles, like a spicy potato that was really good. Roma probably earned three stars, but the owner loaded up our bag with freebies since it was late in the day and they wouldn't be open the next day, Christmas. Not a fan. If you are expecting the original family's Pepperoni rolls you will be disappointed. The new rolls are more like a loaf of bread . The pepperoni lacks the zing of the original. Also, sauce does NOT belong in a pepperoni roll ! these things would be better described as a $2.50 Hallal Calzone. I am certain the rest of their product is more than fine. This is the worst service bakery I ever experience in my entire life. They have no respect for customers, rude in dealing with customer order. but today something even more horrible happened at this bakery with a customer who's order was rejected indicating no balance in her ebt card . speaking out loud everyone heard her conversation when she said to her customer" we are not free food industry". who saying you are giving free food for people with ebt. those are your valuable customers. if those don't exist you will not as a bakery exist. one time I made my order on the phone when i got there my order was sold to someone else, and ask me if I want to wait, of course I said no. after a pattern of certain behavior on there behalf I stopped shopping there.
