Rolling Smoke BBQ - Store front of Rolling Smoke BBQ - Barbeque Near Me - Aurora, Colorado

We spent almost $100 yesterday afternoon on Burnt Ends. While VERY TASTY, the gentleman chopping up the meat was very condescending and rude. If you want to be treated with disrespect, by all means, visit this establishment. read more

Stopped by for a quick dinner after reading through yelp recommendations. I ordered the burnt ends, honey bourbon sausage, macaroni and cheese, and cole slaw. I chose to slather it in spicy bbq sauce. I will say that the sauce and meats were absolutely delicious - I loved them! The sides not so much. The Mac and cheese was a bit dry for my taste and the coleslaw was heavily seasoned with fennel or something. I am not a fan of fennel and if the slaw had been advertised as anything other than traditional slaw I wouldn't have ordered it. I ended up just throwing it away. I ordered a lemonade to drink and it was standard Minute Maid fare. I'd come back again to try different sides. read more

I'm a native Texan, and thus a bit of a BBQ snob. Rolling Smoke was delicious and very much worth a visit. The burnt ends brisket platter was juicy and tender. Sides were delicious (I wasn't as crazy about the potato salad but really liked the green bean casserole). read more

Love Rolling Smoke! Also love hanging out at Stanley Marketplace so its a win-win. This is a counter, not a sit-down joint, but there are lots of tables right outside their counter. You can also get it to go. Really great authentic barbecue. Have had it all - brisket, burnt ends, pulled pork, sausages (Colorado made - try the hot ones!); everything was excellent. And the traditional sides are great too - collards, cole slaw, mac and cheese. Good customer service - staff is really nice. Have sometimes arrived just as they were closing up, and they have stayed late to take my order. If you like 'cue, add Rolling Smoke to your queue! read more

Pretty good bbq. Love the sausage, burnt ends and Mac n cheese. It's really pricey for what you get though. The beans and coleslaw are very disappointing. read more

Food was very dry and overcooked. Needed a steak knife to cut the brisket. Slaw look like it was two days old and green beans were not cooked enough. Macaroni and cheese was very very dry and impossible to eat. Chicken seem like it was cooked two days ago and it's so dry you cannot eat it. Very very disappointed. Manager was very rude and try to rush the order. Literally, the worst restaurant I've eaten at in 30 years in Las Vegas. I am originally from Tennessee where they make outstanding barbecue in this place would not make it one week there. Wish I had read the reviews before I went. read more

Located in Stanley Marketplace, Rolling Smoke is bringing traditional bbq to Denver. Their mac & cheese is made with shell pasta and is delightfully cheese, plus they serve traditional baked beans -- where there is almost more molasses than bean. The meats were smoked well and I was shocked at how good it all was on a Sunday afternoon only a few hours before closing. read more

Rolling Smoke BBQ - Barbeque Near Me - Aurora, Colorado

Good BBQ, especially if you are looking for take out and comfort food. I highly recommend the burnt ends and baked beans. The pulled pork was extremely dry. The potato salad and coleslaw tasted the same, neither being very enjoyable. The coleslaw tasted bitter. The potato salad was watery and lacking in potatoes. Smoked turkey and brisket were pretty good, and my boyfriend liked his mac n cheese. The barbecue sauces were delicious, and the baked beans were probably the best part! Prices are reasonable for the portions, and we had leftovers! Would try again when a BBQ craving hits. read more

I really struggled with this review, because I would've given their food a 4 out of 5 stars. However, if I can't eat the food that I order for pick-up, then there's just no use. I expect wrong orders from McDonalds or Buger King, but I had THREE items on my take-out order, and I only received two of them. How is this possible? Just to confirm, this is the Dry Creek and University location. read more

Food was under cooked. Staff refused to refund me when I gave it back. Don't go unless you want food poisoning and to be abused by the cook who had a beard. Had to cause a scene to get my money back was threatened with security and the police just because the food was undercooked. read more

What a let down!!! Can't believe this is in The Stanley Markrtplace. Super dry smoked turkey sandwich, even the bbq sauce couldn't help the dryness. I took about 2 more bites and tried to see if it got better, gave a piece to someone with me. They saud wow thats bone dry! I just walked up to the trash and chucked it. Finished my lemonade, mins later heard sorry were out of lemonade. When for the sweet tea and barely got a 1/4 cup drizzled in my cup. The burnt ends were moist and not bad. Horrible 1st impression, the main reason i came was for this BBQ place. Will not return, just got the bad news they will be serving food at Red Rocks Amphitheatre this summer during events....ummm I'll stick with Biker Jims food when we go there!!! read more

I was out here from California I've had bbq in Missouri but I can say honestly best brisket I've ever had was here at rollin smoke

Brisket was on point and very tender. The smoked mac and cheese was simply out of this world. Really great BBQ and if I find myself back in the area of Stanley Marketplace I will certainly stop by and take home some more of this delicious smoked brisket and try a few more things on the menu. read more

In this new world we are living it's nice to know there are still places that have great food from before our new normal. I has the pulled pork and burnt ends plate with coleslaw and collared greens. All were very good. Discounts for cash. read more

Way over-priced for mediocre BBQ. Yet another eatery in Stanley Marketplace over-estimating the incomes of the average family in Stapleton. It's ridiculous and shameful. All the shops at Stanley Marketplace are so expensive that they have essentially shut out the low-income neighborhoods that directly abut the facility to east and the south. read more

When I ate at Rolling Smoke at Dry Creek and University, I loved the food and service. I decided to use them to cater my backyard wedding celebration. Katrina was very helpful in taking my catering order. I then worked closely with Kara and Maile to pick out food choices. They are very personable and friendly. They offer a wide selection and many different side dishes. The portion sizes are large and all choice are amazing. When I went into finalize my order, Kara walked me through the delivery and set up. The food arrived on time and ready to go. Everybody loved it!!! I would definitely recommend Rolling Smoke for catering or eating out. Thank you Kara and Maile for helping to make my special day great! Robyn W. read more

Best bbq of my life!! The brisket with Carolina vinegar was out of this world. I literally had to be stopped from calling them on the phone old (pre yelp days) just to say BRAVO guys. Going back..possibly for dinner tonight. Incredible! read more

There's a reason why this stand ran out of forks when they released their pulled pork and beef to the world at the Oh Hey! Yelp Summer Party. Because the damn meat was soooooooo bangin'. + their mild BBQ sauce was the key to my heart. The guy there was super nice. Sucks I can't get their names. Too many names to remember. Either way, they know who represented this booth. So go ahead and give him the shout out he very much deserves. I loved this. Some of the softest, breaded pulled pork ever. The sharp, yet delicate taste was seasoned with some mild garlic and salt. The mild BBQ was zesty on top. It was the most tender meat ever. I think I got like 5 samples. It was soooo good. I'm so happy I came to try them read more

Rolling Smoke BBQ - So I wouldn't forget who they were - Barbeque Near Me - Aurora, Colorado

There is a reason this place won best BBQ in Denver! I went to their grand opening at the Stanley Marketplace and WOW. Their pulled pork is so juicy and tender. I also enjoyed the smoked mac and cheese and baked beans as the sides. I think they are priced affordable and they offer a great service. Be sure to check out their food truck if you see them around town. I will need to check out the brisket on my next trip. read more

Oh.my.lanta. I am not even that much of a BBQ fan, but this stuff I could eat every day. I got the burnt ends with the smoked mac and cheese. First of all, THANK YOU for having a good mac and cheese. I don't know why, but the mac seems to suck at most places around here. Also, the burnt ends made me want to use them in a bath product. Yes, I could bathe in them. Wow, I want them again right now. So crispy on the outside, but so amazingly tender on the inside, and popping with pig flavor. Drooooool. read more

Rolling Smoke BBQ - Burnt ends with smoked mac and cheese - Barbeque Near Me - Aurora, Colorado

It's Denver. So BBQ expectations aren't a mile high. This place has Ok burnt ends, and the brisket is a little bit dry. It will give you a fix, but meh. Meh. Ahhhhhhhhh where is there bbq out here?!?! read more

I was happy to try this option out at Stanley Marketplace! We ordered the three meat plate - brisket, pulled pork, and ribs and added the smoked mac & cheese and coleslaw. It was a solid meal and all of the individual items were great. The brisket is nice and moist but the pulled pork was probably my favorite. The smoked mac and cheese has a nice smoky flavor to it but it's not overwhelming. I would recommend the coleslaw since it's very crispy and the refreshing taste cuts through the heaviness of the other foods. read more

When I think of bbq in Colorado I think of franchise chains such as Famous Dave's and Jim and Nicks, that was until I happened to stumble upon Rolling Smoke during The Big Wonderful event and thought it was absolutely delicious. Since then I have ordered here quite a few times and it hasn't disappoint one bit. Their pulled pork is my favorite along with their smoked Mac and cheese. read more

I was really looking forward to this, but ended up being disappointed. We ordered the 3 meat plate with burnt ends, brisket, honey bourbon sausage, collard greens and green bean side of the day, and a side order of smoked mac and cheese. The employee was nice and friendly, but the brisket was honestly kind of dry and tough to eat. The sausage was fine, and i think the burnt ends were not bad. Without the bbq sauce, i don't think i would have made it through all the meat. The collards greens were OK, but i disliked the green bean casserole sidedish. Not much taste in it at all. The mac and cheese i thought for sure would be OK, but neither my kids nor my wife enjoyed that experience much. We have had smoked mac and cheese before, but something was off in this. It might just be personal preference with this being too smoky? Not sure, but it is the first time my kids passed on mac and cheese. My family did not like this, and thought 1-star. I'm giving 2 because i thought the burnt ends were pretty good. read more

Was in the mood for bbq and found this place on my way home. The pulled pork was very good and the brisket was just about perfect. There were some really tempting options for sides, but I'm trying to control my carbs, so I got the smoked collard greens and baked beans. The beans were meh, but the greens were divine. Definitely looking forward to going back on indulgence day and trying the smoked Mac & cheese. read more

I checked these guys out for the first time at the Stanley Marketplace in Aurora. The setup is a counter you order from but they have tables just outside of it. We took our food to Cheluna and enjoyed some great fresh beers to go with our meals. I had a 2 meal combo with Burnt Ends and Pulled Pork. The two sides I got were the mac & cheese and baked beans. I really liked the Burnt Ends; I have been to Kansas City and had the real deal there and these held up pretty nicely to what I have had in the past. Also, not a lot of BBQ places in town do Burnt Ends, so if you are a Burnt Ends fan and they aren't out of them, get them. I also liked the sides as well; the mac and cheese was smoky, and the baked beans were solid. The pulled pork disappointed me a little bit. They were kind of mushy, like they had been sitting in liquid while being held. I am all for juicy meats but this seemed more kind of like mush than juicy. My wife got the Brisket and I was fortunate to sample! Wow, it was sooo good! It was really meaty and juicy. I was impressed with how tender and juicy it was considering it was the lean side of the brisket (as they use the fatty side to do Burnt Ends I would assume). The other thing that kind of is knocking my review down is the BBQ sauce. I just didn't like it. I wasn't able to try the spicy, but the regular was way too sweet and to me kind of overpowered the flavor of the meats. I tend to like BBQ sauce that is a little more tangy than sweet and I think this was a lot more sweet than tangy. Just a preference thing. Next time I go, I am going to skip the pork and the BBQ sauce and I am sure I will like that. But that's kind of the problem too because I shouldn't have to avoid anything. read more

BBQ was very good! Got the three meat combo of pork ribs, brisket, and hot links. The ribs were fall of the bone and perfectly smokey. The brisket was the perfect balance between meat and fat. The hot links were the best part. Had a nice snap to the casing and a good hear, not too much, but noticeable. Only reason for minus one star is because of the sides. Got the smoked bacon green bean casserole and the brisket chili. Both were just okay. read more

EASILY the BEST BBQ i have had in Colorado!!! I grew up in Missouri where BBQ is religion and living in Colorado its been truly difficult to find any decent BBQ. If youre from the South or anywhere Midwest thats known for BBQ and you are currently residing in CO you need this in your life! My ONLY constructive critism is that their coleslaw leaves a lot to be desired. Has all the right veggie bits just has no flavor or spice like youre use to if youre use to good BBQ. But the meat is on point!!! XD Roling Stone you guys rock and have filled a void in my lofe, spice up your coleslaw and your really be hoppin! :D read more

On our way from the Denver airport toward downtown we did a Yelp search for BBQ and found this place- I'm so glad we did! It's a stall in a pretty cool marketplace. This is super delicious BBQ. We had pulled pork sandwiches and ribs and both were some of the most tender BBQ meats we've ever had. I loved the slaw and the mac n cheese was delicious too. Great portions for the price and friendly service. I definitely recommend checking out the other stalls in the marketplace too, especially Miette et Chocolate for gourmet pastries! read more

Rolling Smoke BBQ - Pulled pork sandwich with coleslaw on top, smoked mac n cheese, and dill pickles. - Barbeque Near Me - Aurora, Colorado

Rolling Smoke recently catered a work event for us and we can't wait to hire them again.I would have taken a picture but I ate it too fast. Delicious pulled pork and my first experience with burnt ends - both extremely tender and flavorful. I was so stuffed from trying these two choices that I barely had room to try the sides. My co-workers were quite pleased with the Mac and cheese and the bite of potato salad I had was spot on. My co-worker even mentioned she had no idea she even liked smoked collard greens - until now! The sweet tea was sweet without being overwhelming. Speaking of sweet - the gentlemen working this truck are the real deal nice guys. They were extremely accommodating to food allergies and menu requests, were super friendly and provided excellent and speedy customer service. Pricing was very reasonable and the portions were generous - no one left hungry... read more

These guys were out for a Bluegrass Brunch event at Station 26 this past weekend. BBQ for brunch? I dunno... but I digress. The guys inside the truck were super friendly, smiling, and quick. I liked the smoker on the truck, that looked pretty cool, and the wrap they had on it looked nice. Onto the food. $12 for a burnt ends sandwich and some mac and cheese. The mac and cheese was pretty darn good: cheesy, hot, and tasty. The burnt ends were another story. They were pretty fatty, a bit tough, and basically 3 small pieces of meat on a bun. The meat I did scrounge up was tasty though. My friend's fiancee had a sandwich that was literally 50% fat. She was disappointed. Their sauces are great at least: I liked the mustard BBQ, and the hot BBQ. Very good. All in all, a reasonably tasty meal from what I could eat, but on the smaller side of things, with too much extra fat. read more

We usually buy food here every time we come to the Stanley to have beer at Cheluna. If I was to write this review a year ago, it would have been a 3 or 4 star. The food is excellent, but I was out of luck, always having the cuts I wanted be out of stock. I have been lucky or things are getting more organized as now I always get everything I ask for. They seem to have more employees and service is really friendly and nice. Now, let's talk about food. The burnt ends. The burnt ends! No words to describe how delicious these are. I am also a fan of pulled pork and their collared greens. I like that all these meets taste smoked and have no sauce, so I can add what I want and how much I want or none at all. They have a "help-yourself" sauce counter and I always get all their sauces. I am very impressed by their vinegar sauce. I am glad they survived Covid and it seems like they are thriving. Keep it up. Please, please, always have meat on hand until the last minute. I promise I will come and order it! read more
