I'm only writing a review in hopes that they improve their customer service because we do love their donuts. Took my special education class there this summer and since we had a group of 7-8 very high needs students, it took me a bit to get to the window and order but there was no other customers behind me so I wasn't exactly holding up the line. The lady helping me kept yelling at me "what do you want to order?!" At the window while i asked her for a moment so I can confirm the number of donuts i was ordering with my students. She kept yelling at me to come to the window too when i wanted to show her through the display what my students wanted. All in all it left a very bitter experience for me and my students. read more

Let me just say, this place is WORTH. We're from out of town and heard about this place from a friend and decided to stop by on our way to Monterey. They're close for a few hours during the afternoon and reopen again around 6pm. We got to Camarillo area around 4pm but we were iffy about whether we should wait until they opened or if we were being too ridiculous to do so. We really wanted to try it and we're never in this area so we just decided to go strawberry picking for a bit and come back later. And like I mentioned, it was definitely worth the wait! Got the cinnamon sugar cronut which was amazing. Light& flaky yet still somehow so soft when you eat it. Now the blueberry donut and/or the blueberry crumble donut was sooo good. It pretty much melts in your mouth when you eat it. Very moist, warm, and had a notable blueberry flavor. Even better than the one I had at a well known blueberry donut place in Anaheim in my opinion. Sight unseen, we took a chance on this place! They are good at what they do! Having Rolling Pin right down in Camarillo is such a great thing. I had a craving for donuts on Tuesday night, and convinced my family (easily, not much of a fight) that we needed a little sweetness in this land of pandemic. Husband and I drove down and picked up six donuts. I had been researching reviews, so branched out and explored two I hadn't tried (inventory was thin when we arrived because of it being a Tuesday night - not their fault.) Crumb - Husband's pick Cronut (w/Bavarian Cream - Husband's pick Chocolate Chip Bar - Child Frosted glazed - Child Blueberry Crumb - My pick Apple Cronut - My pick My go tos with donuts are usually glazed (Krispy Kreme is the gold standard - try them heated for 8 seconds), Apple fritters (sheer perfection) and cake with frosting. I grew up in Irvine, the home of Mag's Donuts (try the maple/bacon, Apple fritter and white icing with sprinkles), so I do have a deep and abiding love for these things (which I balance out with kale, etc.) I wouldn't do the blueberry crumb again. The crumb texture was very dense and satisfying, but the blueberry flavor bordered on fake and it just wasn't for me. I would try the crumb, instead. The apple cronut was light, flaky and filled with apple pie filling; it wasn't bad, but I missed my typical Apple fritter. Husband was happy with both donuts, and so was the child. We'll be back. Fresh and yummy! This was my first time here. My coworkers loved the donuts. The service is fast and friendly. Ambiance; It's a walk up to the window establishment, you stand outside. It's by an auto shop, second to the corner. Easy to miss, if you don't know what to expect. I got the basic 12 dozen variety for $20.00. You can pay more for the fancier and bigger donuts. Well.. my cousin ordered a donut number for her daughter's birthday. When she arrived it was not made and they couldn't make it because the bakers left and they must have forgotten. Surely we were disappointed. Mainly because her daughter just turned 6 and her father just passed away suddenly right before this. this is the donut "cake" she really wanted and we felt awful her already sad birthday was starting off with this. Things happen so instead she asked for them to make up for mistake with donuts for her party. The donuts cost more than the original so they asked for the difference. My brother had been talking about this place for a while since he moved to Camarillo, we finally made it! There was a little bit of a line but not too bad and you can watch them make donuts in the meantime! So I tried the glaze twist donut and it tasted super fresh and was nice and fluffy.
