    Ham egg and cheese croissant

Really good donuts and super fresh breakfast sandwich The foodie in me smiled and I smelled the baking on my way up to the door. Only con is the way my sandwich was made - it was a mess but it was so good ... not sure if it was because it was too hot or if it was just thrown together but I had to eat it by pieces.

Stopped by this morning. Service was great. Unfortunately, I gotta be honest. I ordered a medium coffee and it was watered down. Didn't taste like coffee at all. I was too far to turn back. My chocolate twist donut also wasn't that good. Had a burnt taste and very oily. Not sure what happened from the first time I was here. I definitely had a better experience the first time.

It seems as though there have been a lot of changes here, not sure if the ownership has changed or just the staff, but the quality has declined significantly at this location. I like that they are open 24 hours and parking is relatively easy (tight separated lot) , but the last couple times I came we had to toss the donuts. The glaze had an overwhelming burnt taste, like they burned the sugar batch and continued to use it for multiple batches, and the donuts were very tough. I've never had a tough donut. They charge $4 for donut holes, and that would be fine if they are actually good but they are very hard and small. The regular sized donuts are a mixed bag, as if they serve fresh made donuts mixed in with yesterday's leftovers. But they all had that burnt glaze so it didn't matter which donut you got, it just tasted burnt. The breakfast burritos are small but overall not bad - they could benefit from using a smaller tortilla instead of having so much excess tortilla on both ends. Service is slow and indifferent. I prefer to go up the street for better donuts and service.

Knew I found a gem when there was a line at 9am on a Sunday morning. I got the jalapeño ham and cheese croissant. The croissant was soft and buttery I just wish there was a bit more ham!

Donuts are good, clean place, but rude cashier/poor customer service. Would probably not visit again.

Best donuts and coffee in the Oxnard area. A fine addition to Oxnard and Ventura county. These are new owners.

A few years ago when I first discovered this place I noticed how popular the Jalapeño Cheese bagels were. I thought they looked weird and I was very reluctant to try one. I was happy with my standard order: an Everything Bagel. Then one day, I don't know what possessed me, I decided to find out what was up with those Jalapeño Cheese bagels. Holy hell those sons of bitches are good! It's astonishing how good really. Sure am sorry it took me so long to try them. And there are so many variations with jalapeno! Just to name the ones I remember: Jalapeno 1 Cheese, Jalapeno 4 Cheese, Everything Jalapeno 1 Cheese, Everything Jalapeno 4 Cheese Everything seasoning on top of a Jalapeno 4 Cheese. You know, like Jalapeño' 4 Cheese wasn't already mind-blowingly delicious enough. No, Bagel Rock Cafe is like, hold my cream cheese. Then they do that thing they do, with Everything. I really don't know why I'm telling you all this. I know you probably already knew. Seems like I'm the last person in the world to discover how great Jalapeno 4 Cheese bagels are. But who knows, maybe there's someone else out there that hasn't discovered how fire those bad boys are. Bagel Rock Cafe is the perfect place to try one Mikey C says: Highly recommended!

Staff was nice as we were greeted when we walked in. Ordered their Chorizo Avocado Sunrise bagel. Came with a jalapeno cheese bagel with avocado, chorizo patty and sauce. The bagel portion was a bit smaller. The chorizo patty with the sauce wasn't too bad. When they cut it in half, I think most of the patty ended up being on the other since after about 2 bites, the chorizo was gone. However, the other half had the patty portion filled up. Overall with the sauce, it wasn't too bad. Pricing was ok also.

They also offer seasonal drinks and fun specialty drinks, including ones with cereal, which adds a unique touch. The pastries are just as amazing. The cookie was perfectly balanced--not overly sweet, just right. The chocolate croissant, especially when warmed, is incredible. The chocolate melts perfectly, giving you the perfect bite every time. And let me tell you, when you're heading to an island for kayaking and hiking, securing food starts to feel less like lunch planning and more like wilderness survival strategy. The online ordering process, though, gave my husband a minor technological character-building experience. Not especially intuitive or user friendly. Then, on the morning of the trip, we weren't entirely sure where the lunches would actually appear. Tiny scavenger hunt energy. Thankfully, they were waiting for us at the ferry office, and we both immediately took the same relieved breath: "Excellent. We shall not perish on the island." The sandwiches themselves were genuinely delicious. I had the Caprese, my husband had the turkey baguette, and both were fresh, flavorful, and substantial enough to fuel actual adventure instead of just delaying hunger by 20 minutes. Each lunch box also came with chips, Fuji water, and a chocolate chip cookie that quietly stole the show. Soft, delicious, and exactly the kind of reward you want after hauling yourself around an island pretending you're far more athletic than you really are. By the time lunch was over, I was happy, full, and fully prepared for the next round of kayaking and hiking. Which is really the highest compliment an adventure lunch can get.

Ordered coffee and took our goods down the street to watch the seals. Only ordered the drip coffee, nothing fancy here, but it was excellent. Good roast on the darker side, my only concern are the lids. Hot coffee filled to the top and as I lift my coffee the lid pops off sprinkling coffee as I tried to reach the counter to set it down. The lid didn't fit tight, so I asked for another lid. It stayed on as I walked to my table, but popped off again as I left. The strawberry custard croissant was flaky, smooshy and the berry itself was a marvel of ripeness and color. If you read my other reviews, I have a thing for chocolate croissants. This one was flaky and perfect looking and the honey on the shell made the layers of laminated dough even better. My first few bites were non-chocolate filled and filled with air pockets between the layers of dough. Once I reached the thin layer of chocolate, it was underwhelming. I may have to go back again and give it one more try.
