Our daughter started struggling on regular public school buses in kindergarten and is now in high school. Throughout these years, this company has provided reliable and respectful transportation for our children. The drivers (Michele is one standout) not only know the names of our children, but know and support their life stories. From the dispatcher to the coordinator of routes, everyone takes a personal interest in providing the safest possible experiences for our kids. Chad is efficient and kind; even responding immediately to a concern once while on vacation with his own family. This is truly a standout company and I cannot recommend them highly enough. - one happy mom (Michelle Q.)

At midnight, the Hyatt driver appeared with a van that was clearly not for me, even though I had just called to make sure they knew I had a disability. They left us there with no options. A gentleman driving another shuttle pulled up and asked "did that just happen? Wait 10 mins". He left and returned with a Schmitty and sons van with a lift! He took us to the hotel on his own time free of charge. In my tired and stressed out state, I never got his name. However, I can't thank this excellent person enough and he reflects very well on this company.

I also met the driver Michael when he picked up my husband, he was very kind and courteous, that's why I was not surprised when my husband told me that one of the passengers was leaving the state and her friend was crying while waving goodbye to her. Michael told the passenger he has time to wait and asked the passenger if she wanted to say goodbye to her friend again. All the other passengers were watching from inside the van and saying the scene was so touching that makes them all want to cry too! You don't see this kind of kindness everyday and when that happens, it's a blessing!

I can't ask for more than that. But what impressed me the most was how he handled one customer in particular. This person, first of all, apologized to the rest of us for holding up the trip because she was late and there were a lot of last minute things she needed to take care of with Michael. She also told us that she is moving to another state. She had another friend with her that drove her to the pick-up spot, and she looked noticeably distraught. In fact, they both did, which apparently was because they were saying goodbye to each other. We were ready to leave, but Michael paused and turned to this person and asked if she would like to say goodbye to her friend one more time. She asked Michael if that would be ok, and he replied yes, that we have some time in the schedule. She took the opportunity, and got off the shuttle, and she and her friend immediately hugged and sobbed loudly on each other's shoulders. Upon seeing this, I heard one of the customers in the back say, "now they're going to make me cry." Honestly, I was tearing up too when I saw this sensitive moment. After a few minutes, we finally left. The drive itself went well with no problems. I was the last to be dropped off, and I told Michael that what he did was a very nice thing. He humbly shrugged it off, seeing it simply as an opportunity to help someone out. Kudos to you Michael. We need more people like you in this world.

Although I don't think they film too many of those in the Mini Apples, because the models would freeze to death, as would the shirtless or scantily clad rappers. From not being covered in enough wrappers, you might say. This is one of the few bus services that I actually relied on once in my life because I was stupid enough to come to Minneapolis without a car a very long time ago - so I take the bus at about lunch time up to the village of Hilltop and back and then a couple other buses to other locations in the area over subsequent days. And I like it because I'm a kid and it's exciting. But yeah. It wasn't great. They're not awful and they're not great. Nowhere near as nice as the buses in England though. They are a bit neglected, and I guess when buses have to run to through this much incredible snow and Siberian temperatures then you're glad that they just exist and and they don't break down.

If you plan on using a shuttle or transit from the airport, do NOT use MVTA!!! I called the customer service department and they said I could either catch a light rail and maybe make the bus at Mall of America, or wait another 2 hours for the bus to come back to the airport. Unprofessional, Inconsiderate, and bad at their jobs is how I would describe the people that work at this company.

Well...its not the cleanest nor modern of bus stops…read more This station has a huge echo because its so open. Folks who do not have cell phone etiquette and are loud..put on a hell of a concert!!! There are no information boards to announce the bus time/gate/location. One speaker announcement is used. I'd love to see Greyhound step their game up (buses, station, etc.) Not EVERYONE who takes the bus is down and out...and THIS IS THE IMAGE Greyhound is choosing to perpetuate! Greyhound is used by college students, professionals who are looking for inexpensive means to travel, parents with multiple children, etc. As I write this....suggestions that stick out which Greyhound should immediately change are: *adding multiple usb/outlet charge stations (table top) *mothers area for nursing moms *quiet area *pre-pay sleep pods for those with long waits *water bottle/drinking fountains *hand sanitizer stations Bus upgrades: *usb/charging stations added for every passenger seat (reach arounds - stuck on the wall are annoying) *more leather seats (easy to wipe down) *leg rests for seats *buses with cameras to see/hear what drivers and passengers are saying...their are some rude drivers as well as rude passengers At the main bus terminal: *on-board BUS Restrooms need to be checked/cleaned/restocked *bus seats need to be checked and cleaned *floors need to be checked and cleaned Retail options: There are lots of entrepreneurs who are seeking an opportunity to sell to travelers (food, travel gear, clothing, etc.)...please use this money making option to UPGRADE the Greyhound appearance. Ask millenials what they think of Greyhound. Use social media influencers like me. Its time for a change.

Overall, it can be a very cheap way to travel and isn't usually too painful of a ride! However, I have found that the Minneapolis--Chicago trip is worse than the others. Is it unluckiness? Something about the Minneapolis drivers? I'm not sure, but I felt strongly enough about it to write a review. --The Minneapolis to Chicago bus has left EARLY all 3 times I have taken it. --The Minneapolis to Chicago (& Chicago to Minneapolis) drivers have been the rudest of all the Megabus drivers I have encountered. I'm not sure why... --I have been personally offended by these drivers on several occasions. --The wifi usually doesn't work on these buses, and the outlets are hit or miss. --My last two trips out of Minneapolis have both been VERY cold. The driver tends to listen to the person who yells the loudest about the temperature upstairs, even if it is a very large man wearing a heavy coat in the middle of summer...hmmmm. Most other people on the upper level were complaining of the chilled air but weren't aggressive enough to make the change happen. However, you really can't be a 20 dollar ticket (or less, if you buy far in advance). I'm more likely to fly rather than bus it after my recent experience, but it's hard to resist spending that little money!
