We marked our calendars to come back for the haunted tour. Dr. Hawk takes it a bit serious for me, I was asked/told to stop talking twice (I was whispering with my cousin while masked, it was not loud). It is clear that Dr. Hawk expected everyone to sit and listen attentively to her for the full tour, I am an adult and paid for the experience as things come up I think it should be ok to quietly talk to my companion. The cemetery visits were very interesting, some good info/stories and that was fun. I believe that there is something out there but not sure how much in ghosts and some of the ghost hunting equipment and trying to talk to the spirits was a little out there for me, others seemed to enjoy it, and it was only a smaller portion of the tour. The covid practices were very good, hand sanitizer as you enter the trolley, masks covering nose and mouth. Hoped for some more stories and a little less ghost hunting. Entertaining unique night out

The hotel was quite busy the weekend I stayed so there were longer lines at breakfast and certainly more hall traffic and noise throughout the day. One critique I'd provide is needing more breakfast staff on hand. They ran out of plates and ran low on hot items. There were several of us standing around waiting for quite awhile. I just ended up putting other food in a napkin and taking it back to my room to eat. Not ideal but doable. For location, ambiance, and room quality, this Residence Inn is a solid choice. They just need to fine tune the breakfast experience during peak times.

One star. Avoid this place at all costs…read more What a nightmare. We had two prepaid rooms and the problems started the moment we arrived. There was a long line to check in and a long wait to get rooms assigned. We finally got in and got our two keys for the two rooms, we dropped our luggage in one room, and left. Of course, the parking garage did not work with our key card, so back we went and waited in line again. The parking access was added and when we came back, neither room key worked. Back down to the lobby to wait in line again. The front desk reissued keys, but when we went back to open the second room, someone else's belongings were inside! At that point they said they would comp our entire stay and moved us into a larger room at the Staybridge Suites connected in the same building. That was the one nice gesture, except it didn't hold up. After we got home, not only was our prepaid stay never comped, we were charged additionally on top of it! I had to call my credit card company to dispute it, and when they tried to reach the hotel directly, they couldn't get through after more than thirty minutes on hold. This was at around 2 PM on a normal weekday. This is a terribly managed hotel with undertrained staff. One employee helping us was on her second or third day; another had just finished her first week. Nobody seemed equipped to handle even basic check-in, let alone the billing disaster that followed. Save yourself the headache and book somewhere else.

Office is stocked with many brochures and information about the shuttle to the hospital. Access to the room was easy. Parking very convenient. Upon entering the room it was another story. Old ceiling tiles showed evidence of water leaks and the room smelled. To me it was musty, like a laundry basket full of sweaty clothes that sat too long. Not pleased about that. The bathroom was clean, bed seemed to be clean and fresh. Furniture is old with worn places on the edges. Carpet worn and frayed at bathroom doorway. So far this is where we are at for now. Just arrived. Worrying because we booked this room for a week. At least they have shuttle access to the Mayo Clinic. Good access to the main street. Not giving this hotel/motel a very high rating. There is even a question as to billing. Their paperwork states room rate about $45 per night. We booked for 5 days and the cost is over $320 so something isn't adding up. We will check on that.
