Seems like everything that can go wrong finds me. After having the brakes go out on my truck & have the cost of that repair earlier in the week, I was looking forward to the 4th of July holiday weekend with my kids & grandkids. Hooked up the big 5th wheel rig and headed out from Shakopee. I made it 9 miles when I heard something was very wrong. I found my way off the highway onto a backroad in Eden Prairie. I parked, checked the rig and found it was the truck's serpentine belt fraying off. I had no one to call. Feeling defeated I sat in the truck with my dog and cried. I sat there for about 20 minutes. People, trucks and cars passed by when a courier type van was passing by stopped and asked if I was ok or needed help. Told him my situation and he said that his business is on the other side of this block if you want to walk over and let's see what we can do. I walked over and he was in his office. It was then I realized this was not an employee. It was the owner himself. He ordered the part. He had his mechanic; Viktor install the new belt and make sure I was on my way. It's the things people do when no one's watching that tell you the content of their character. And even better, when they have zero to gain but have the compassion to help others shows the content of their heart. I will forever be grateful to Gus & Viktor. These guys are the real deal and are simply amazing. I pray they are blessed abundantly in all they do. THANK YOU GUS!!!!

As we were getting in the car, I realized I did not have my wallet! I had no ID!! Our driver agreed to drive us to my place in Uptown so I could get my passport, then took us to MSP. This big circle doubled the time we used the car service. I felt bad and asked if I was messing up any other booked rides - and was told not to worry. They had other drivers that could handle that. Overall - professional, friendly, and willing to do what it takes to meet the customer needs. When we were picked up at MSP on our return, they even asked if we ever found my wallet.

Unfortunately, our experience on the May 20, 2023 Twin Cities (Minneapolis/St Paul) tour didn't live up to that hype of a comfortable ride. There were many positive things to say about this tour. It was a good overview of the area for tourists like us who are not familiar with the area. The bus was on-time. The bus driver was excellent in navigating around construction zones and down some narrow streets. The tour guide was informative and interesting. The bus seats were comfortable and windows big enough to take on the sights. It could've been good value ($40 adult. $38 senior) for a about a 3.5 hour tour. That said, one aspect of our experience totally negated all of the positives. The air conditioning wasn't working properly on the bus on a warm Minnesota day. It was warm outside; hot in the bus. Passengers, and especially those in the back of the bus. started to ask for more air about 15 minutes into the trip. We were eventually told that the tour guide spoke with the office and nothing could be done for our trip and that we should report this on our evaluations. Nothing could be done? Seriously? Many options come to mind. Switch out the bus for one that had functioning A/c at the next stop. Or, stop at a store and buy cold waters for parched passengers. Or, offer Lyft, Uber, or light rail reimbursements to get passengers back to point of origin. Or, offer discounts for the current trip or discounted voucher for a future Gray Line tour.

Gave me a quote and even let me know that the gratuity was included meaning once i am dropped off I don't have to fumble with an app to finish payment or configure a tip. It was seamless and greatly appreciated! Greg happened to be my driver. I was informed when he was on his way, and when he arrived. Extremely clean vehicle. When I got back home there were no surprises on my credit card, just the quoted price. Doing some research we had some specific dates, destinations and even the cruise line. I found Travel Leaders so I emailed one of their agents to get some information and questions on the benefits of working with an agent. I initially contacted Karen Malone due to the experience and reviews listed on her bio. Karen called me within 24 hours and briefly reviewed the detailed information that I had emailed. She stated she would put together some information and numbers and email those to me. A couple of days later I receive an email from a Karen Soltis. Her email had other ships and dates that I had not described in my initial email and conversation. I replied to Karen advising her of the details and apologizing if the information I had discussed with Karen Malone was not clear. Karen Soltis did reply and stated she would get the additional and correct information to me. That was over three weeks ago. Since that time I met a representative from the cruise line we are considering and also met a travel agent that specializes in cruises. I doubt that I will hear from Travel Leaders and I doubt I will ever contact them again. I will however work with the individuals that I have recently become acquainted. Sometimes fate works out better than the plan. That certainly seems to be the case here.

It only took one simple phone call to let Kristi know when and where we wanted to go. She took care of the plane tickets and hotel reservation in two simple phone calls and emailed me all of the information right after I booked. It was quick and convenient! She also includes our airport transfer in the package which was very helpful. There were no details she didn't cover! We booked our stay at the El Cid Castilla in Mazatlan. We were impressed with the location of the hotel as it was right down town close to the golden zone and lots of restaurants and bars. The staff was accommodating and friendly and the service at the restaurants was great. Our favorite was the Italian restaurant which was included in our all inclusive package. We also enjoyed our room! It was probably the most comfortable bed I've ever had on a vacation out of the country and was a king size bed! We had a great view of the ocean from the 7th floor and even received a welcome basket including tequila upon arrival thanks to Kristi. We visited during Carnival week and there was lots of festivities going on as a result. Kristi worked with the hotel to set up transport to old Mazatlan to see the fireworks one night and also arranged for us to attend the parade a different night. Both were great experiences and something we wouldn't have probably done without her assistance. She went above and beyond to make our trip fabulous! We are looking forward to planning our next vacation with Kristi in the future! She was friendly, prompt, and made the whole process from start to finish very easy!
