    Half-eaten, but whole-disappointing
    Dale Z.

My friends had a pizza, but I just went with the garlic sticks. I was not very impressed with them. They had attractive charred bits on the surface of the dough, but also somehow managed to be both under-cooked and over-cooked at the same time. So, it was a combination of both burnt and semi-raw from my flavor and texture perspective. My friends said the sticks tasted garlicky to them, but I was really not picking up on a lot of flavor. The tomato dipping sauce was also rather disappointing. It was ice-cold. Seriously, if you are going to give me a red sauce in which to dip my pizza sticks, then it should at least be warm, if not hot. To me, it seemed almost more like a gazpacho than an actual dipping sauce that would be appropriate for garlic knots and/or sticks. I love onions, but the chunks of chilled onions in the sauce were rather off-putting. The pizza my friend were enjoying (with nice runny egg yolks on top) looked considerably better than my sad garlic sticks. The service was decent, and they were doing a brisk business at Mountain Toad. I could almost go three stars, but I really did not care for what I ate on this visit.

Rolling Dough never disappoints. Their sauce and crust is unreal. I check out their Facebook weekly so I know where to find them. The Spicy Hawaiian has been promoted to my all-time favorite pizza. Also- try the cheesy garlic sticks!

This is an amazing pizza on any level but the fact that it comes from a food truck makes it even better. We are in Ocala at least 3 or 4 times a year and this pizza has become something we look forward to. If there's a line trust me the wait is worth it.

Pepperoni pie, cheesy garlic sticks, Cubano pizza, veggie pizza

Cubano pizza tasted like a Cuban sandwich in Miami, but on pizza dough. Unbelievable. All of the pizzas we tried plus the cheesey garlic sticks were all fantastic. Nice guys, fair prices, fast even when slammed.

Rolling Dough Pizza Truck, outside of our wedding venue 10/6/19

Rolling Dough catered our wedding this past weekend and CRUSHED it. The guys make food fast, and all of it is delicious. From our initial tasting, to our second tasting with our whole wedding party, to the big weekend, Joey and his team treated us like VIPs and made the process so easy and stress-free. Their prices were more than fair and we were so happy so have them as part of our special day. My wife and I will be raving about Rolling Dough to anyone who will listen, and will recommend them to any of our friends or family that need any event catered in the future!

    Wood Fire Pizza Oven

The Pizza Gods shine down upon this food truck. If you want stupendously delicious pizza look no further. Want savory? Try the "Bob"atillo. Nailed it. Want sweet? Try a Hawaiian. Nailed it. Want off menu secret magic? Ask for the French Toast Sticks. With a wood fire grill straight from the motherland of Italy, it tastes just like Nonna made it. Only better. The service is great. The food arrived quickly. Their pizza had me rollin' and it wasn't that much dough (as in money). Would recommend to a friend again and again.

They're always out of everything, yet the truck still sits there for hours acting like they have more than one food item for sale.

TRUE LOVE TACOS…read more I went to True Love Tacos expecting tacos. What I received was a reminder that food can still make you believe in something. I had recently eaten at Oliver's Italian, which I can only describe as an experience that made me question several fundamental assumptions about civilization. The meal wasn't merely disappointing. It was the kind of meal where you leave the restaurant and immediately begin mentally reconstructing every decision that led you there. Then I ate at True Love Tacos. And suddenly, I understood forgiveness. These tacos are ridiculous. The tortillas have that perfect combination of warmth, char, and structural integrity that makes you wonder why we ever bothered inventing plates. The meat is seasoned like somebody actually gave a shit. The toppings aren't there merely to provide color--they're participating. Every bite has something going on. Crunch. Fat. Acid. Heat. Char. Freshness. It's almost rude. At Oliver's, I spent the meal wondering when it would end. At True Love Tacos, I spent the meal wondering how quickly I could order another taco without making it obvious that I had completely lost control. The difference was profound. Oliver's made me feel like I had paid money to attend a meeting. True Love Tacos made me feel like I'd been invited to a party. And perhaps that's what great food is supposed to do. You shouldn't need to intellectually justify it. You shouldn't need to discuss the chef's vision over a $17 appetizer. You should take a bite and think: "Oh. Fuck. That's good." True Love Tacos accomplishes this repeatedly. By taco number four, I had stopped taking notes. By taco number five, I had stopped speaking. By taco number six, I was no longer a food reviewer. I was simply a man standing before greatness. True Love Tacos: 9.8/10 Oliver's Italian: I would like to formally apologize to the tacos for comparing them. If Oliver's was the meal that made me question whether I understood Italian food, True Love Tacos was the meal that reminded me I understand food. Come hungry. Come humble. And for the love of God, don't eat at Oliver's immediately beforehand. You don't want the tacos spending the rest of the evening cleaning up someone else's mess.

I forgot to ask for no diced jalapeños and was fully prepared to buy a new burrito, but they didn't even hesitate -- they made me another one. That's old‑school customer service. Best part? They actually mix the ingredients inside the burrito, unlike Chipotle. Now I just need to come back and try a breakfast burrito.

I was excited to try Bonfire, but unfortunately came out less than impressed. We went to the…read moreGolden location, and the building has a very cool vibe to it. We looked at the menu right in front of the cash register and liked the description of the Chupacabra burrito ("pasture raised eggs, crispy hash browns, house-made green chile, all-natural chorizo, all-natural sausage, nitrate-free bacon, cheddar cheese, and chipotle crema"). My wife and I each ordered a Chupacabra to go. We drove out to a mountain park to have our burritos, and were disappointed when we bit into them. It definitely wasn't what was described. It was a very soggy consistency, and was filled with some type of red sauce, a bit of rice, a lot of beans, and a couple of chunks of meat. I checked the bag and receipt to verify that we ordered the correct burritos, and it appeared that we had. Getting the wrong order was pretty disappointing, particularly for an expensive carryout burrito ($15/each - okay, stuff is expensive these days, so that wasn't a deal breaker). I also understand that mistakes happen, so I wasn't totally done with Bonfire at this point, because I understand that no system involving people will ever be perfect. My wife called the location to tell them that we received the wrong order. We were about twenty minutes away at this point, but wanted them to know that we didn't get what we paid for. The guy who picked up the phone was really abrupt, and told us that we got the "lunch Chupacabra". Evidently this place uses the same name for two different burritos (there's both a breakfast and lunch Chupacabra). Ignoring the fact that it's strange to have essentially the same name for two different burritos, what we received wasn't the breakfast or lunch Chupacabra burrito, and the guy on the phone couldn't even be bothered to say "sorry for the mistake". After we got home I looked at the menu, and it appears that we were both given something that looked to be the "L-Javelina" burrito (not one I would have ever ordered, honestly). Ultimately this place seemed to have a lot of potential, and I was excited to try the burrito I had actually ordered. But, honestly, I don't see myself going back. Mistakes happen, but receiving rude service in response to politely informing the restaurant that we were given the wrong burritos really turned me off to this spot. It does seem baffling to me that they have two different burritos with the same name, but what we ordered was definitely the breakfast version, as it was the one shown on the screen we read before ordering. Despite what we were told by the rude employee on the phone, what we received was neither the breakfast or lunch version, and the service we received after that error is ultimately what left the worst taste in our mouths.
