Meatball came to our neighborhood recently. Overall, this was a mixed bag, but I'm glad they came by. Ordering was online only and supposed to open at 5pm. I logged in to create an order at 4:40 and was allowed to submit it. We were hungry, so I was stoked at the idea of eating sooner than later. Alas, this was not to be. 5:30 would have to do. We had planned on one Philly + one eponymous sandwich, but, to be frank, the prices convinced us we could share one sandwich and fries. In part, this was because items were more expensive than the preview menu we'd seen. $16 scored the "Steak and Cheese" cheesesteak with parm/garlic fries. What it lacked in authenticity, it made up for with great taste, quality ingredients, and its blimp-like size--not exactly a Philly, but a great cheesesteak. The fries almost stole the show with just the right amounts of parm and garlic, but no grease to be found. Outstanding! Five stars for taste, three for prices, 2.5 for wait time. 3.5 overall. If I see them again, I'm definitely up for a meatball sub. read more

How do you turn down a good meatball? You don't! That's how. I recently got to try meatball. at the Denver Summer Brew Fest and it sure did not disappoint! I chose to nosh on the 'Za Cheese sandwich. It's grilled cheese sandwich with provolone, pepperoni, pizza sauce, parmesan, fresh basil. It was full of flavor and huge! Almost to the point where I couldn't finish it... Almost. But I endured and ate it. All of it. And I would gladly do it again. I probably waited five to seven minutes from placing my order to getting my food. Even better! Meatball came to our neighborhood last night. Ordered on line & the food was ready in about 45 minutes (I ordered a little late). I got the Cheesy Meatball Sub with Parmesan-Garlic Fries. Both were delicious & a generous portion (had leftovers for lunch today). The fries were thin & crispy, just how I like. The sub was wonderful, the only thing I would suggest was just a little more sauce (I tend to like sauce!). The price was fine for a food truck ($11.50). This review is really just a continuation of my experience at Station 26 Brewery, which I love. There was a Meatball. food truck on the driveway by all the benches. It was easy to grab a menu, deliberate at the table, then go back to order. Everything was ready fairly quickly despite the full house there. Maybe not everyone was on the same dinner schedule. I had the cheesy meatball sandwich, which was so hot and so good. The meatballs were giant and moist. Cheese was oozing everywhere. Too filling for me to finish, but then again I was stuffed with a few beers at that point. I'm not sure if the food trucks at Station 26 rotate, but I would love to chase down that Meatball. truck again the next time I'm in Denver! read more

Agree with other reviewers that these sandwiches are delicious and huge! This sandwich and fries could be shared with someone. I ordered the "cheesy" and the Parmesan garlic fries. The fries were great. They give you a side of balsamic ketchup which is a nice change to the normal ketchup. I would definitely try it again. I do think they should have some alternatives other than just sandwiches and fries that would lighten up the heaviness, such as having it with some roasted veggies. read more

Best chicken meatball I've ever had - that's for sure! We were lucky enough to try the meatballs sliders marinated in Stranahan's Whiskey BBQ sauce, and it was simply divine. Topped with pickled cabbage and I believe goat cheese. Nevertheless, it was savory and melted in my mouth and made me very happy. The Meatball truck came to our neighborhood last week and after perusing the menu, I knew we had to try it. My husband and I shared a spicy meatball sub - homemade spicy marinara, tender and flavorful meatballs, and toasted cherry peppers. It had some heat for sure, but was not so spicy that it was overpowering. The bread was great too. Crunchy, absorbed some sauce but was not soggy. It was a great size to share, especially served with a nice portion of garlic fries (yum!). It was surprising to me that it took 30 minutes to be ready from the time we ordered (a food truck? 30 minutes? Dang!) but since we ordered online, we hung out at home until it was done. I have to wonder what that process looks like if they were - for instance - at a brewery on a Saturday night. Just interesting! After waiting nearly an hour, we finally got our 2 subs with fries. As a garlic lover, I got the Stinky Meatball. When I unwrapped it, all the cheese stuck to the paper, I had to get a fork to scrape it off. The bread was soggy, had clearly been sitting for awhile. There was so much raw garlic, it was nearly inedible. I ended up taking the cheese back off since most of the garlic was stuck in it, and I didn't even eat half the bread because the meatballs didn't fill it. My husband had the Original Meatball and has been on the toilet with a sick stomach. The fries were ok, also definitely not fresh. Maybe things would've been better if one of their members wasn't sleeping in the truck that pulls their "food truck." Really disappointing, don't recommend. read more

It was a perfect night for the Centennial City Park event (at least until it wasn't). We had a huge selection of food trucks available, at least for my area. Fat Sullys, Meatball, funnel cake truck, slider truck. . and more. I ended up with meatball. The idea of some italian sandwiches sounded great. Though its namesake was meatball I got the Il Porco. This sandwich, so said the operator, was the best they had. I did it as a combo for about $10 bucks. The sandwich came out with fries and this huge sandwich. The fries were among the best i've had in a while. Salty garlicy goodness. They served it with a small little taste of an awesome ketchup. It wasn't heinz and it wasn't hunts. . .maybe home made. First time eating their food. Saweeeeeet! I got the Meatball 'Za sandwich and Parmesan fries and my sweetie got the Il Porco which is pork belly and pork shoulder with plenty of Rosemary. The bread is just what you dream of and the sandwiches were so good you couldn't put them down even though they were as big as my head. We got a sandwich a fries each and we were at $20. Can't speak about the food. But the driver of your SUV towing the trailer thinks it's a good idea to cut across 3 lanes of traffic and almost cause an accident because they missed their turn. Meatball was amazing! They came to our neighborhood on a weekday evening and I was able to place my order online. It took about 35 minutes for my order to be ready but when I picked it up, it was very fresh. The Parmesan garlic fries were tasty, but the Philly cheesesteak was to die for! I walked up to the window and asked if my order was ready only to be greeted by a very rude individual who told me I needed to wait before I spoke him. I get that they were busy, but with three people working in a small food truck someone should be able handle someone asking if their food was ready. This food truck is parked outside my job in DTC on Wednesday afternoons. I finally got the chance to try it today. For $8.50 I got the classic meatball sub. The sandwich is ginormous! The bread is killer and I love the add on peppers. The meatballs themselves are fresh and tasty. My favorite part is the sauce! Thick and tomatoe-y, just how I like it. I was very disappointed by this place. My work had hired them, along with a bunch of other food trucks, to serve meals at a company picnic. They sent out menus in advance so employees could choose the food truck to eat at. I chose Meatball bc my boyfriend loves cheesesteaks and I've been trying to cut down on meat so I was very interested in their veggie cheesesteak. I also heard about how good their garlic parm fries were. Apparently they decided to completely change their menu and all 3 things were not available. The menu looked completely different. What made matters worse was they did not have a single vegetarian item on the menu. I felt bad for the vegetarians that chose them... We sucked it up and ordered the porchetta sandwiches with chips. The sandwiches were very bland and flavorless. The meat itself tasted off... We both barely ate a third of them each. The chips were stale and chewy. We ended up tossing them and paying for food elsewhere. I met other people that were also disappointed with other sandwiches. Maybe an off night? Likely, considering how good the other reviews are. I sauntered up to the unassuming Meatball. trailer unsure of what lie in store for my tastebuds. I was initially a little disappointed the "'Za Cheese" sandwich I originally intended to order was not on the menu, however any gloom I may have been feeling vaporized immediately when I saw a co-worker pass me with a steak sandwich. I then knew fate had other plans for me this day. I ordered my steak sandwich with parmesan-garlic fries and winced slightly at the $12 price tag. As the names of those ahead of me, I grew ever hungrier and anxious for my meal! "Chomps!" called the man from the window, rousing me from my daydreams of steak and mushrooms. I leaped up to collect my food, and my jaw dropped at the sheer volume of food being handed to me. The little red tray struggled to contain the mountain of perfectly golden fries and beautifully toasted sandwich. I hurried back to my desk at Chomps HQ and hastily stuffed food in my face. Upon the first bite of the steak, I shed a tear as the delicate flavors of the mushrooms softened the bite of beautifully caramelized onions, the cheese and steak of the highest quality upon a wonderfully toasted roll. This was it. I was home. It took me several more bites before I realized that I was actually not home and was, in fact, still at work. My boss glared as she ordered me back to work. How long have I been here? Why was everyone staring at me? I must have lost my composure at the glorious symphony of flavors dancing about my head. I knew I was tempting fate by overwhelming my brain with such sensory overload. While my job may, once again, be in grave danger, I cannot say I regret my experiences with Meatball. My only critique would be to, perhaps, offer smaller portions at a lower price point for those who are unable to consume such unimaginable quantities as myself. Tried the meatball food truck at Station 26 Brewery. The food could be great but the employees are rude and don't care. The woman who took my order made me feel like I was an inconvenience. I didn't modify anything that I ordered. My veggie sub had steak in it and my boyfriends parm chicken sandwich wasn't made like the menu stated. Overall the rude workers are what killed it for me. Best meatball sandwich I ever had. It was called Zaball. I had it from the Meatball food truck when it was at Auraria Campus. It had 3 or 4 freshly cooked meatballs with provolone, mozzarella, tomato sauce on a 8 inch hero roll. So good. I paid about $8.50 for it . I usually don't like food trucks unless they are connected to a brick and mortar restaurant because the price to quality ratio does not match up. This food truck was amazing.
