I arrived around 8 o'clock, and the second I stepped foot into the place, I was greeted with a friendly smile and warm welcome. The place was clean, cute, and busy. But still calm and quiet at the same time. The service was amazing and quick despite it being busy. Our food came very quickly - it took about 5-10 minutes after ordering. In addition, they also accommodated to my friend's picky diet upon request. Overall, the restaurant was amazing and 100% deserves the 5 stars. - Food was absolutely delicious. - Service was amazing and quick. - Everybody was extremely friendly. - Prices weren't as bad. The only "giant" thing about the order is the mountain of rice that a very thin, translucent piece of salmon covers. Inside the middle of the rice is also a sweet potato mash which I thought was unnecessary and not really good. There were three add-ons (toro with caviar $25, uni with caviar $35, and caviar sushi). I opted in for the toro and uni add-ons. It was strange they give you the add-ons before any other nigiri. Everything was very good and fresh. Standouts for me was the appetizer, all three cuts of bluefin tuna, the lobster (by far my favorite), and the hotaru ika. I would've appreciated knowing that the omakase included or not included toro and uni before I decided on the add-ons but I don't regret it. It was a splurge night after all. Service was very attentive. Note that the dining space is very small. 12 seats around the counter and two tables. There was a very loud gentleman two seats from me who never learned to use his inside voice and totally ruined vibe. But that's not on the staff. Another note is that gratuity is automatic on the bill.

Really enjoyed the butter corn and miso glazed eggplant, those two were my favorite. (The eggplant was quite oily though. Eggplant likes oil and handles it well, but there was a bit too much.) One of their specials that day was their wagyu steak and I was a bit bummed by it. It was very fatty. Yet, it wasn't very fragrant. If I were out again with friends after a few drinks, it would be a lovely place to have some food. It's dark and calm and decorated well.

The food i would give 4 stars, uni was sweet and creamy and my favorites the sweet shrimp and scallop can do no wrong. The squid/octopus was also quite good.
