    Dynasty Roll
    Amelia L.

First time at Roll and Bowl and it was great! Friendly staff and plenty of seating. We got the dynasty roll, the pink floyd roll, and the famous roll. Also got the muscle bowl (subbed kiwi) and it was amazing. Definitely a good vibe! Will be coming back:)

The restaurant was busy but not overwhelmingly so, indicating the locals probably enjoy this spot. I was in the area and had a craving for pho and this was where Yelp led me. I'm a pho snob so I was a little surprised by how much I enjoyed the pho here. The broth was a little underwhelming at first, but once you add the chili oil and a touch of fish sauce, all of the flavors (the herbal essence and the beefy meatiness) came together beautifully. It hit the spot. I know it is a little short-sighted to rate this place according to just one dish, but it's what I have for you. That being said, my 4-star rating may change when I try other things on the menu the next time I come here. I normally like rating Thai restaurants by their green curry and pad thai -- so that is something to look forward to!! A few things that didn't really matter but they stood out. 1) They didn't bring out a plate of herbs for you to garnish your soup with. Instead, they added all the herbs into the soup before they brought it to the table. I get it. This is a rural area with little diversity so you want to simplify things for your main customer base. I also assume it is a waste thing. I always use up ALL of my herbs but I know most people don't . This way it saves on the waste. 2) The beef was cut chunky instead of sliced thinly like what's normal in a bowl of pho. At first, I thought it was carelessness or an oversight from the chef, but after a bite with the beef, broth, and the noodles all together, I am thinking it may be an intentional choice. With the beef pieces being bigger and chunkier, it preserves that super beefy taste. The one knock I have is my pho noodles we're all broken like I got the noodles from the bottom of the bag. It's not a huge deal. Just bad luck, I guess. Overall, good spot. Try it out!

When I called to report the issue, I was told that our waitress had mistakenly charged me for another table's bill but that the charge had been voided and should correct itself. I monitored my account daily, but the refund never appeared. When I called back, the manager, Tabitha, reviewed the transactions and explained that while the waitress had processed a refund, she had issued it as cash rather than returning it to my card. By her own admission, it looked as though the waitress had refunded the money to herself. I was assured the matter would be resolved once the owner/bookkeeper returned from vacation and that I would be contacted. A week later, after still hearing nothing, I called again and was told by Tabitha that she was surprised the owner had not reached out, since they had my contact information. At this point, I have disputed the charge with my bank and contacted local authorities about what appears to be a fraudulent transaction. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend this restaurant. Beyond the risk of fraudulent charges and mishandling of customer information, the food itself was mediocre at best. What should have been a $30 meal turned into a $96.03 headache--not worth the risk. If I could give zero stars I would.

It was off hours, like 4pm, so we got the dinner portions. I must say, the portions are remarkably large and quite a value. The egg drop soup was of the style i appreciate, I got the chicken chow mein, it was great. Good ratios of meat and noodles and veggies, cooked perfect and full of good flavor. My wife got the General Tso's, it was above average for that dish. I had some on the third leftovers. My oldest got a bento box, and it was larger than they expected as well. My youngest i forget her dish, but she enjoyed it. For a weird time the staff was great, very attentive either out of boredom or just that's how they do things there. Im dog/house sitting in the area and was craving sushi, but didnt wanna drive to Sushi Hana or Whitakers, so figured Id try a new spot! My total before tip was $30 and some change which I felt was a bit steep for two rolls, one of them a little more on the basic side. The Sakura roll is spicy as hell and think the lobster salad (inside) is whats adding to the spice, in addition to the spicy mayo (what I can normally handle). The Annie Roll is a simple salmon lemon roll, with red tobiko on top. I called my order in and by the time I got to the restaurant (about 10min) my order was ready! So I will say their prep is quick. Inside appears to have ample seating, with low lighting for a more intimate setting. It was really busy when I arrived (like 7:30ish) and seems a lot of locals like this place! Idk if Ill be going out of my way to come back here, or of Im in the area again. Staff was nice and welcoming which is always a plus! But I feel this id a bit more costly than what I feel the quality translates to.

And I don't blame the servers, I blame management. We walked in tonight at 815pm, knowing it closes at 9pm on Sundays. We stood there with no one greeting us for 2 minutes while the hostess cleaned a table, clearly knowing we were there. She sat us at the bar, where the bartender was nowhere to be found. When he came around, I ordered waters and an app while my husband went to the bathroom. When husband returned, I took my turn, and when I had returned, he had not seen the bartender again to order anything. We ordered food. While we waited, we got to hear the sounds of them breaking down and cleaning the kitchen 30-45min before closing, while food was still being prepared. When food finally arrived, they were the smallest signature rolls I've received from any sushi place, possibly ever. It's as if they were running low on sushi rice and were skimping so they didn't have to make more rice. I expect maki rolls to be small, but signature rolls aren't usually the same size. I included a photo with chopsticks to try to show how small these were. This is such a great location with so much potential, I'm so so disappointed. We would have come weekly if the service had kept up.
