Breakfast taco and a wonderful latte.

The name is different but the coffee and food are fabulous and the staff is even better!

Glory Beans Coffeehouse - 134 West Main Street, Downtown Albemarle Went for the first time with Family at noon. Not busy, huge space, good noise level, clean. Free street parking. They highlight local artists and crafts which we thought was really cool. The coffee was so good couple of different flavors and medium was --- .80 cents a cup! Whaat!? Muffins, some desserts which looked great. Loved my chicken pesto panini on sour dough - tender chicken, great flavor pesto. A win! They gave a little cookie that was a light strawberry flavor. Avocado toast on sourdough (so healthy for you). Great Cheezy Biddie Sammich on sourdough! Another great sandwich. Nutella dessert crepe - there was nothing left of it. Liked that they put cut strawberry and a little piece of cantaloupe on the side. Fluffy pancake and a side of sausage patty, MIL loved it (comes with 3 pancakes but she only wanted one). $6!! Again - cannot beat the prices, portions AT ALL. Five people are and were full for apx. $40 before tip. Connie Blaylock is the owner, she visited the table, made sure everything was good. She also had worked for Rose Briar, another wonderful staple for great desserts and home cooked food, in Albemarle. Worth a visit, you can't beat the wonderful home cooking. Quality ingredients and great service. Can't wait to go back and try a few other dishes! Downtown Albemarle, quaint and lots of small shoppes to enjoy if you want to go for a walk.

Walked in and it was love at first vibe! What a breath of fresh air. Can't believe I've lived local for a year and just discovered this gem. Inside area is much larger than expected, and had feel of coffee house you might find in Asheville or Blowing Rock. Staff was wonderful. We did not order them, but they have mimosas and such for brunch. The grits are local and fabulous. We really enjoyed our breakfast and will be back!

Becca crepe, has eggs, bacon and avocado. Delicious

The best place in the Albemarle area for breakfast or just coffee if you're not hungry. The only place in town serving real grits, not quick cook or instant, real grits, the kind you have to wait for because you can't rush a real grit. We've been several times for breakfast and had the grit bowl (country ham and eggs in mine), Becca crepe. Delicious. Chicken panini is wonderful too. The coffee and specialty drinks are wonderful and the baked goods at the counter. The inside is adorable and the resell local crafters and artists work.

Beth's Country Kitchen -- Pageland, South Carolina…read more If you're driving **Charlotte Myrtle Beach**, this spot is a **straight-shot, easy 3-mile detour** that's absolutely worth it. Beth's Country Kitchen sits on its **own lot with plenty of parking out front**, housed in a **quaint, no-nonsense metal building** that instantly tells you this place is about the food, not the frills. And that's exactly how a proper country kitchen should be. I stopped in on a **Tuesday in January**, and the **lunch buffet was straight-up banging**. ### Buffet highlights: * Crispy, well-seasoned **fried chicken** * **Beef and gravy** * **Mashed potatoes** and **rice** * **Mac and cheese** * **Field peas and snaps** (a personal favorite and not something you see everywhere) * Additional vegetables and sides * A **full salad bar** * **House-made desserts** Everything on the line looked -- and tasted -- **homemade**. Nothing felt mass-produced or rushed. This is the kind of food that reminds you of church dinners, family reunions, and Sunday tables. The atmosphere matches the food: **simple, country, welcoming**, and comfortable. Locals clearly know this place, and travelers are lucky when they stumble onto it. **Bottom line:** If you want real Southern country cooking, generous portions, easy parking, and a buffet that actually delivers -- **Beth's Country Kitchen is well worth the detour**. Highly recommended.

My friend found this spot and I have to say, I'm not going to say the "S" word - because it didn't apply. It was all Hospitality. The first interaction was like we had stepped into someone's home and were told to make ourselves at home. And the rest was the same. The gentleman walked us through the menu. Pretty much the entire line up of options. Not a condescending or impatient tone - warm and welcoming. Same with the next person. Even convinced my friend to get a dessert. Not that I need my arm twisted. The dining area was well kept. Clean. The condiments were well stocked and organized. I saw two different team members taking care of business there even asking if I needed anything. Bathrooms were immaculate. Don't see that very often - at least I don't in public places. The food was what we were looking for. Comfort food. With taste, not muted - just good flavor and consistency. A far cry from the bland, dry foods we had experienced the days prior. It was one of the first meals I really enjoyed on this trip to NC. Not saying that others were bad - they just didn't align with my taste preferences/expectations. Something about how Fried Chicken and Pork Chops are prepared in the South (or NOT California). Tender. Juicy. Mac & Cheese - not watery or overcooked. And I don't think I've ever had bad collared greens in my life. It's one of the handful of green vegetables I love having. Almost forgot parking. It's in kinda a plaza/strip mall setting. Free space and lots when we went (lunch). Not having to look for or pay for parking is always a plus for me. So, it's a chain. But I'd definitely go back. I almost ordered more but was saving the stomach space for dinner.
