I purchased my first and second at two different shops and they were ok. I just knew deep down somewhere I could have more professional help. And let me tell this, you can look all you want but you need someone that's knows the business. I know there are a number of reasons that someone may need a wig. In our case, it was because my 35 year old, fashion forward sister recently started chemotherapy and would soon lose her hair. I think both of us were nervous before her appointment. My sister has barely been able to accept the fact that she was going to go through this process- it still feels surreal. Would the person helping us understand that? Would there be lovely, modern, and high quality choices for her to try? In my mind, I thought it would feel like a costume shop. I couldn't have been more wrong. Our appointment was with Lyggia, the owner of Roland's Wig Salon. (Roland was her father and her grandfather was a wigmaker.) Lyggia could not have been more sensitive to my sister's situation. She works by appointment only and invites you back to a private space surrounded by beautiful wigs. She has set up a tasteful, yet glamorous atmosphere for you, almost like a theater dressing room, with white chairs and candles. She discussed with us our options based on my sister's needs, the longevity of each material, prices, styles, and the options to order any color desired. Lyggia made her feel pampered and listened to and we were both so grateful for her professionalism in this delicate situation. The Matthew's location has just been open a few weeks and was a little tricky to find, since I didn't see a sign from the main road. I would not recommend this business. Very unprofessional, the owner called and canceled my appointment the day of the appointment saying that her ac was out, I do understand things come up but the owner told me she would call me back to reschedule the appointment. Its been 5 days and no call back. I sent her a private message with not response. I was looking for someone because I have had alot of hair loss and am in the process of trying to find out why it is falling out at a rapid pace. The owner knew how important this was to me but never bothered to call me back. On top of that I sent her a private message with no response and tried to send another message but was blocked.
