I went to this location twice and each time it was the same experience: subpar customer service and terrible parking. They also over charge on basic items and you often don't realize until you get to the register. I'm new to the area and hate this is the closest one to me. I went in hoping to buy 3 wigs. I told the lady at the wig desk I wanted to try on some wigs. She said okay there is a limit of 5 you can try on. Then I had to sign my name twice. Printed and cursive. I'm surprised they didn't ask for picture id and Social. So as I am returning my wigs I noticed the lady writing down each wig I tried on. As I get done returning my 4th wig she stops me and tells me I have tried on my 5. I said no I have been counting too and I have one more. But she argued with me and it wasn't worth arguing with the wig police so I walked off. As I walked off I guess she looked at the list and saw she made a mistake. I'm looking at her like yeah I know I had one more. I didn't even try on my last wig. The fact that there is a limit turned me off. I only bought one wig, but my intentions were to buy 3 and because of the limit I could only buy 1. I almost wanted to put back every item in my basket and go somewhere else. I called my sister and she had the same experience but at another tisun store. She said she no longer shops there, and she goes to hope in university where don't have limits on trying on wigs. I purchased an incorrect item here and tried to exchange it. While looking for another item to exchange it for they came up to me stating I couldn't exchange it because it was used. I never used it. The item is a product that doesn't have any seal or plastic on it so someone may have in fact went into it before I purchased it. I assured them I never used it however they wouldn't let me exchange it still. They tried to give me the item back and I told them they can gift it to someone or throw it away because I don't want it. I won't return to this store. read more

You have to download the app to follow your point progress and get deals beyond the in-store deals. They should stay open longer, especially on Sundays given the size of this city. They will never order things even if they say they will. I'll take a picture of the prepackaged 9inch hair with closure (synthetic) that they've been promising "will be in next week..." yet 7 months later ...nada. Price tags aren't on everything so you'll get sticker shock at the register. What works Diversity hires to match the buying populous. Loyalty points. Wig Try on area. Well lit. Clean aisles. All your needs to look good for a great day, night, special occasion or just a regular day. From different real and syntethic hair (weaves, crochet, braiding hair, wigs), hair, body and face tools/products, make up and makeup accessories, as well as jewelry and costume attire! Seriously, you name it, it's there. The other thing I like about my Tisun experience is that they have a rewards program. While I don't keep count on how I rack points or earn cash, every few visits I get about $5 off of my total purchase. I mean if I'm going to shop there anyway, why not. I absolutely love this beauty supply store! Before this location opened, I would go to the original location on North Tryon all the time. I prefer this location because it is more convenient and the store layout is much more open. I usually try to avoid it on the weekends(because it can get very packed)and only go during the weekdays, around lunch time. They have the best and biggest selection of hair products, jewelry, wigs, weaves, makeup and hair supplies. My last visit here was today, to purchase some hair supplies. The staff is always so helpful and there is at least one person in each section of the store available to answer any questions. Also, their prices are reasonable in comparison to other hair stores. It is so easy to get lost in here and spend at least an hour looking at everything Tisuns has to offer. I will definitely be back soon! read more

I have been patronizing Tisun beauty for many years but honestly their customer service has seriously gone down hill at both locations. They used to be so helpful and knowledgeable about their products and now it just seems that they're fully staffed with teenagers or younger people who 1. Don't speak conversational English and 2. Would rather be on their phones and playing with coworkers than to assist a customer. I have thick curly hair and have been thinking about trying lace fronts or wigs as a protective style but fully acknowledge that I'm clueless. I have walked around this store for hours in several occasions trying to figure it out myself and they've either ignored me or have been completely unhelpful in answering my questions. Also they don't seem to care about restocking popular products and don't offer discounts on floor model wigs. Like why would I pay full price for a wig that everyone has fondled and tried on?! I once talked to a manager at this location about the lack of engagement and poor service and he made excuses for their behavior. ***Beware*** this place sells knock off products for higher prices than the real stuff. I purchased the Camille Rose Style Setter for a whopping $17.99. Could have gotten it from Target for $15.99 but I am a cosmetologist so I get a discount at beauty supply stores. I had some product left over from purchasing this product in the past so I knew something was terribly wrong as soon as I opened the container. First, the scent in the "real" one smells like coconut. The "fake" has no scent or at least not the same. I purchased another container from Target so I can compare the actual products. The one from Target is creamier in texture and the color is white. The fake from Tisuns is ivory in color and thicker in texture. They also do not preform the same. The real left my hair feeling moisturized and my curls were defined. The fake caused my curls to relax (go straight) and felt heavy and weighed down. Upon even closer inspection, the real has the "Trademark" symbol next to the products name and the fake does not. Parking at the facility was a little tight in the small spots by the front door however with a little maneuvering and finesse I was able to get my vehicle parked and get inside the store quickly. The store is well lit, well stocked, and the staff is knowledgeable about the products that they offer. I recommend this store to anyone on the south side of Charlotte who is looking for Beauty products. Kudos to the store for employing such a diverse staff as well. So this is a great place for any beauty enthusiast or makeup artist to stock up. I found an amazing mixed human hair wig and I'm in love with it. You can try on any and all wigs and they even give you a free cap. The prices are definitely competitive with pre made units. I also purchased new 18 inch clip in human hair extensions. There definitely is no staff shortage here but they are so dismissive, indifferent and just plain rude. One young lady was on the floor on her phone. You could literally spend hours in here perusing the aisles and deciding on which one of the hundreds, if not thousands of hair products you want to try. If you're a product junky you have fallen through the rabbit hole when you get here. This store is clean, neat, well organized and packed to the hilt with some amazing stuff. Every brand that I've seen you tubers and natural hair influencers use are available to try. You might spend a fortune in the process so you might want to consider carrying cash in with your set budget and leave your debit/credit card at home. You could go nuts in here. We've purchased make up, hair conditioners, lotions, moisturizers, braiding hair, clay masks and hair styling tools here. The stuff available is for all hair types, all! And I'd be surprised if they don't have what you want or need here. The employees are very nice though there don't seem to be a lot of them around so if you need help you might be best off going to the register and asking them to answer your question or page someone to help you. What I also appreciate is that I'm not followed around the store while I'm there. This seems to be the norm at many beauty supply stores. They have a reward card that you can get as well to earn points with every purchase. My niece, who loves all things beauty, came to visit from Virginia and she was in heaven. They're consistent with keeping everything well stocked and clean. Aisles are wide enough to fit two shopping carts side by side. Be sure to explore the wig section. With unlimited options to try on, you'll feel like a kid in a candy store. I always purchase a wing for Halloween, I even saved some cash. Lashes: I'm completely obsessed with lashes! Not the Muppet baby's Lashes, more of the natural look. With prices starting at a dollar, you can't go wrong. My only complaint....The staff should become familiar with the return policy. I almost wasted $15 on shampoo. I wanted to try a new shampoo. Apparently, I wouldn't be able to exchange....The young lady wasn't sure... Cheap, thin $30-45 wigs. Weird styles. Many look like hooker wigs or Halloween wigs. Several staff members stayed on their cell phone & avoided eye contact with customers in the store!
