Burgers are generally one of two kinds, A smoosh burger eschews vegetables and is lots of meat and cheese sometimes with grilled onions and bacon. The second type is a crunch burger with pickles, lettuce, tomatoes and onions, usually all cut on the thick side. Think of a very basic salad on a bun that they tossed a patty and cheese on almost as an afterthought, it crunches and makes noise as you eat it. I am definitely in the crunch burger camp, so weight everything else accordingly. This is definitely a smoosh burger place, their main burger, available in single, double or cripple, is meat, cheese, and bacon forward. I asked for pickles, lettuce, tomatoes and onions on mine and the cook is obviously not a crunch burger fan as they were there but sparse. Lettuce is shredded, onions are thinly cut. This said, I did notice something, there was essentially zero Mallard Reaction on the patties. If you do steak, pretty much any meat, Mallard Reaction is when the surface browns and you develop that wonderful flavor. This would have ben a much better smoosh burger with that sear on it. The french fries are closer to what anyone who has traveled to Europe would call Frites... this is a VERY good thing! Not sure how they prep their fries here, but frites are typically half fried, pulled out, go back in the freezer, and are finished later. This given a very crisp exterior, but a center that is very soft and moist, delightful! I have never met a person that dislikes fries like this. This method also leaves the little surface bumps as seen in the picture. So... Good smosh burger but maybe ask for it well done so you get the browning Just okay when turned into a crunch burger unless you are very clear about wanting lots of veggies. Heavenly fries (frites) Yes they have fry sauce, its to the left of the counter in the mini fridge Coke beverages Yes I will be back... for anther try at a crunch burger!

The buns were a tad soggy because of all the lettuce but the jalapeños actually had a kick. Overall i can't complain about the service, nothing tip worthy, but fine considering how busy they were being next to a bar. The atmosphere was alright, the other customers seemed impatient and a bit rude. Would be a 5 star if they served fries but they only serve chips with the burgers. Overall 4 starts because the burgers speak for themselves.

It was one of those nights we didn't feel like having to deal with a reservation or going downtown and dealing with parking etc. the perfect spot for the kids to run around and get an easy meal and the owners were also so sweet and accommodating/patient with our big group! If you like a smash burger you'll love this... the perfect crispy edges and the bun was seriously so good. Also the mustard sauce!!!! Make sure you get that. The wraps were also very good, we got the Caesar and the ranch. The pretzel bites were big enough for everyone to share and the queso was delish. Overall highly recommend

The taste of rancid oily meat filled my mouth. I tried to power through it. I even dumped the yummy green salsa on it, but I couldn't do it. I spend 14.95 on a burrito and threw it away after I had only eaten a 1/4 of it. And I am NOT a picky person. Lots of grizzle in the meat ... bleck. I couldn't do it. I should have known when I saw the food truck in town had about 30 people outside of it and this had one. I feel sorry for this place ... I love and want to support small places like this, but it was gross. Hopefully they fix things. Good luck ladies.

The restaurant is in a beautiful location right by the lake and golf course, making it a great spot to enjoy a meal while visiting Cascade. Everyone working seemed genuinely happy, friendly, and helpful. The restaurant was clean and bright, and our order was taken quickly. We enjoyed our cocktails while we waited--mimosas with just a teeny-tiny splash of OJ and a Bloody Mary. No complaints here; they were made perfectly! The food didn't disappoint either. My friend and I shared the steak sandwich, while our husbands ordered breakfast dishes. The steak was cooked perfectly to medium-well, and we opted for the sweet potato fries, which came out hot and delicious. I would definitely visit Lakefront Bar & Grill again the next time we're in Cascade!

The desk clerk at our hotel recommended this restaurant. It was a Monday, and they are closed on…read moreMondays. So, we came tonight, Tuesday, at about 6:15. The place was very busy, and there was a wait. However, their system for handling new arrivals was disorganized. An older woman stood at a counter, and everyone lined up behind her. But, she never said anything, chatting with an employee, and no employees took charge. I walked to a register and was given a buzzer. Other people came after us, and also lined up behind this woman. Confusing and annoying. We waited about 15-20 minutes, and were seated. This was the only part of our experience that was good; a view of the lake. We waited close to 10 minutes, and our server came over, a young woman named Kiley. All of the servers were hustling, and I suspect they had too many tables. So, while she was doing her best, we received only average service. My wife being the generous, compassionate person that she is, we still tipped her 20%. The food was the worst part. We both had the surf and turf, an 8 oz sirloin steak and four jumbo shrimp. It comes with soup or salad (we chose salad) and two sides (we had a baked potato and fruit. Our salad and entree came out at the same time, which is a first world problem. Still, salads usually come out first and I prefer it that way. The baked potato was good, as was the salad. On the other hand, I was looking forward to grilled shrimp and these were breaded. Bummer. The fruit was like a canned fruit cocktail. Really? And the absolute worst: the steak. We asked for medium. It was dry, tough, and chewy. Essentially inedible, though I tried, but ultimately left a good portion uneaten. My wife did the same. This was the fourth place we ate at since arriving yesterday morning, and the only true disappointment. I'm not counting the hotel breakfast because you know what those complimentary breakfasts are like. No high expectations there. It is very possible that on a different day we might get good food and service. But, we'll never know.
